With 2025 drawing to a close, the annual legend inductions are just around the corner. In this post, we interviewed a number of this year’s nominees regarding their thoughts on the nominations.

Every year, the title of Club Penguin Army legend is bestowed upon the most exceptional members of our community. Each legend has made an impact on the community in their own way. Some through leading their armies to greatness, and others through various achievements that have benefited the general community. Still, no two legends share the same journey, yet all are undeniably legendary.
The yearly Legend Inductions are always a cause for excitement in the community. Every year, the committee reveals the nominations, tallies the votes, and controversy follows. On December 20, 2025, Head of Legends Comittee DMT released this year’s list of nominees. Several community members earned nominations for this title, and community voting has officially begun. In 2025, the committee nominated 16 people for CPA Legend: half for the Major sector and half for Small/Medium.
Unfortunately, interviewing all 16 nominees would be unrealistic so we have chosen nine of these outstanding individuals to speak to today. With that, Club Penguin Armies present to you, 2025’s Legend Nominees Press Conference, featuring Ugly, Ghostt, Daniel20448, Echo, SavageCobra, Coolguy, Logical, Bestpenguin and Moon.
How does it feel to be nominated for Army Legend?
Ugly, Void Troops Former Leader: Calm.
Ghostt, Scarlet Republic Leader: Honestly I am not sure if I should be surprised or not. I had a lot of fun building up an entire army with such a small group. We fought some tough battles and that gave us a chance to prove we had experience with battles. It is a good feeling nonetheless to know the community supports me this much.
Daniel20448, Army of Club Penguin Leader: I feel honored! I’m thankful to be nominated for such a title, it’s been a tough year for ACP but we’ve managed to pull through despite all the circumstances. It definitely wouldn’t have been possible with those in the staff and HCOM team, though.
Echo, Templars of Club Penguin Former Leader: Its not my first time I believe its the 3rd time now, except this time its S/M which is still good. I don’t have high hopes. I didn’t really do as well as I set out to do because of IRL stuff
SavageCobra, Water Vikings Leader: It’s an alright feeling. This is the second year in a row, and my third year overall being nominated for the title, so I can’t say the feeling is anything new in particular. Nonetheless, it’s a good nomination lineup and makes a lot of sense for the most part, and it’s nice to be a part of this lineup. I suppose if I was younger or if this was some years back, I’d be a bit more thrilled but it’s certainly nothing to be unhappy about!
Coolguy, Dark Warriors Leader: To be honest, I was surprised by the nomination. In early 2025, I was in the final months of my administration in Club Penguin Armies and then I also revived Dark Warriors alongside Holo and Subzero. We’ve had our own successes along the way but my goal was always to help with the revival as much as possible and make sure it remains in the years to come – build a foundation that can be built upon for future generations. So the 3 tournament wins alone were not on my bucket list this year. However, I do appreciate the nomination and, once again, am honoured to be included.
Logical, Void Troops Former Leader: good
Bestpenguin, Aliens Leader: It feels great!
Moon, Templars of Club Penguin Former Leader: Kinda cool? I just wasn’t expecting to be nominated if I’m gonna be honest.
Reflecting on your journey this year, what are some things you’re proud of?
Ugly: Joining VT and conquering all nations once again. Building a well-structured independent league from scratch with almost zero support. This year was mostly just doing side quests and wanting to give back to the community.
Ghostt: Bringing TCP to grand finals and going to overtime with them, creating a community that so many people love and most of all just being able to meet everyone that has been able to meet us and support us along the way
Daniel20448: I think the thing I’m most proud of, is how we’ve managed to trust the process. What we did of switching from Discord recruiting to in-game was no easy task, as it’s been the norm ever since 2020 – it’s just now starting to show off. Not only that, despite the change we’ve managed to stay contending for the top spots, maybe not in the most ‘dominant’ way per se but we’ve had our moments. I’m also just very happy on how much fun we’ve been having in the process, which is the most important thing. There’s so many highlights from events that I could recall I’d spend days writing them out for you.
Echo: I’d say first things first restabilizing the army. The end of 2024 left us in uncharted waters and I was practically alone to deal with that. Going into 2025 I assembled a reliable team of leaders that got us into a stable position again, which later was transferred to bora and zez to actually take TCP to great heights again.
I think the position I was in is one that many others wouldn’t have stayed in and even less survived. I’m proud of myself for that.
SavageCobra: I achieved the goals that I set. When joining WV in 2024, I joined with three goals in mind:
1. Get WV back to a stable major
2. Win Legends Cup
3. Set the army up for long-term success following my retirementUndoubtedly, we achieved the first goal. We started to get back to major status in 2024, and then we did a break so the plans could be properly written for a full return, we returned, and we’ve been a stable major since.
Although we didn’t win Legends Cup, the fact we broke WV’s size record, set a size record for 2025 so far, dominated the top ten, and narrowly lost to RPF through an overtime loss felt good to me. So far the only other army to achieve that was ACP for the semi-finals of Christmas Chaos, although the scale was larger during Legends Cup. It felt good to go from maxing 25 to hitting in the 40s, and then peaking at 88 in room and 91 online. Definitely a highlight of the year for sure. I wish we would’ve won the semi-finals, but it was a good run that was against all odds.
As for the third goal, I’m still fully unsure. WV still remained pretty solid during September following my retirement up until the middle of October. I still had some presence in behind the scenes affairs at that time undoubtedly, but it seemed evident to me that the army was capable of managing itself. It did plummet after the middle of October and didn’t start to pick up towards the end of November, but I think the baseline has been consistent, so I think it’s safe to assume the goal has been achieved.
Very proud of everyone involved in working towards that.
Coolguy: To be honest, I came in and helped with the revival and had no expectations. Sure, we had goals to reach the top, to win trophies and more, but I think that the one thing that I suppose you could say I’m proud of has been how we’ve able to create a community and unite both vets and newcomers, much like I envisioned. Not only this, but the future of DW is here; the people within our staff team (When I say staff I mean everyone) have the potential to lead DW one day. Some people have come a long way since the beginning of DW, and that is something to be proud of.
Logical: creating a successful army from scratch and the fact it is currently undefeated in war.
Bestpenguin: This year for me has been fabulous. I was very proud when we got our first trophy, ATWC, then reached the finals of the Legends Cup on our first attempt, then won the OH trophy, and now we are in the finals of Christmas Chaos. However, for me, the proudest moment was promoting Sheriff and Ams to leaders, because these two people were completely new to armies. I have watched them grow, gain experience, and now they are finally ready to lead Aliens to new heights, which makes me proud. Apart from this, my staff and Alien troops make me very proud because they are always so lovely, kind, and supportive.
Moon: Definitely proud that Templars survived the year and is currently thriving considering the amount of obstacles that were hurled at us.
Inversely, if you were to do your career again would you change anything?
Ugly: I would’ve changed a lot of things during my time in ACP if I knew the stuff I knew afterwards. Other than that, no.
Ghostt: I dont believe that you should ever have a reason to go back and change things. Do it right the first time and if you make a mistake you handle it accordingly. I am happy with every step I took on this journey so far and it has been such an honor working with some people in the past like Image, Annie and our friends from EGCP. I wouldnt change anything.
Daniel20448: Nope, not a single thing. Sometimes you really have to learn to trust your decisions and the process. Everything that happened taught everyone in ACP actual lessons and without them we’d probably not be where we’re at right now.
Echo: I would’ve locked in sooner when I did actually have time to be in CPA. I tried to do that while in college and it went relatively well imagine if I actually dedicated hours to this
SavageCobra: Probably not, everything led to this moment here. There are some days where I will beat myself up over some past mistakes, but every little thing brought me to where I am not and I think history would’ve been different for early CPPS armies, EGCP, and Water Vikings if things were changed.
If I had to change something, I would’ve conducted myself better when I was younger and said less stupid things.
Coolguy: Honestly, yes. This probably will be the first time in an interview I’ve said it, but I would erase my time in SWAT completely. If I had the knowledge I have now, I would go back even further and commit my time and knowledge wisely to help an army from my OG Xat days succeed and make my own impact there. Hell, maybe even make a leap into ACP early. Yet, saying that, I feel like my time in ACP was perfect. Perfect timing, perfect army, perfect co-leaders. The love I have for my time there is unmatched
Logical: win more tournaments could have definitely won some this year if not for unforeseen circumstances
Bestpenguin: I don’t think I would change anything, because everything I went through has made me a better leader than before. I enjoyed meeting all the people whom I have met, and I would like to keep good memories of all of them.
Moon: A lot of things, but I think most would be how I reacted to certain situations? I feel like if I had reacted in a different way in the situations I’m thinking of, definitely I would’ve had a smoother ride.
What has kept you going this year?
Ugly: My great friends that always supported me in VT no matter what, I owe them a lot.
Ghostt: The Scarlet Republic. Simple as that. I genuinely wouldn’t be active right now if we weren’t successful for the first generation. I learned a lot about myself and my community and we were able to grow and experience together some of the most fun times I have had with the armies community since 2010.
Daniel20448: Not only my deep love for ACP and its community, which was a huge part of my time during the pandemic, but also my love for Club Penguin. I genuinely love the game, it’s my childhood game and seeing how far “Club Penguin” Armies have striven away from the game they were made from made me really sad. I wanted to return that to the Army of Club Penguin, and make a safe place for people to enjoy their childhood games as well. Also it’s just genuinely fun to meet people from around the world and just spend time with them. I want ACP to do good for the next few years, as it’s a community that has genuinely made an impact on so many people and it can continue to do so. Building the path towards that is the most important thing.
Echo: For sure the people within the army, and my coleaders.
SavageCobra: I continued my career into 2025 because I wanted closure and to be able to prove to myself I was able to rebuild a weak S/M army into a strong major army. On the journey to prove that, I grew attached to the Water Vikings community and I wanted to help out and make sure that the work done did not become undone. In addition, I wanted EGCP to return and make a new name for itself. Both cases have had their ups and downs following the lack of hands-on work of myself and others, but still being present in some capacity will always be better than zero presence.
Coolguy: That’s a good question. In terms of DW, I said “the most important thing is not just reviving the army but gaining the respect of those who served in the past… To forge a new generation which embraces the past, which builds a foundation combining what DW is, what it stands for, and this new era”. I aimed to uphold this and not just build a new generation but be able to help make it last with new blood coming through. This, alongside the individuals within the army like Salah and many others have kept me going.
Logical: Friends, Community and War
mainly j having fun w othersBestpenguin: My staff team, aka the Starship Squad, has kept me going this year. I have had one of the best staff teams this year. Through their support and love, We were able to bring Aliens to the top, and our love for Aliens has always motivated all of us to do our best.
Moon: My co-leaders, they made it less grueling.
What advice would you give to army leaders in 2026 aiming to earn a nomination?
Ugly: Ignore the noise, follow your heart, there’s times when you will have more resentment from your friends than your enemies. Take the risks, do things your own way, mark your impact where you are, and it will all pay off in the end.
Ghostt: I think the best advice is to focus on making a difference in the community. Make a change if you want to become a legend. But at the same time the title legend doesn’t mean anything as long as you are having fun with your friends.
Daniel20448: Don’t aim for a nomination. If the only thing you want in your time here is glory then you clearly don’t deserve it.
Have fun, enjoy the moment because your leadership won’t last forever. Achievements should be a byproduct of your work to improve your army or the community at large. Keep working hard and do it for the love of the people and the game, not to fuel your own ego.
Be innovative, add your own touch to your army and it’ll take you far, very far. Make it your own imagination at play.
Echo: Recruit a ton of quality troops (Troops that later recruit, and and become staff), engage in wars, and engage in tournaments AND WIN.
SavageCobra: My advice would be to do the opposite actually: don’t worry about getting nominated for legend.
Making CPA Legend your goal defeats the purpose because your contributions will be more about glorifying yourself to others and less about contributing to the well being of your army and/or the community. Make it your goal to have fun, contribute to your army, and make change in the community (especially in the era where we need change for the better).
Think about the community, not a fancy PNG of your name.
Coolguy: Work hard, don’t be foolish, but also don’t be afraid to make the moves you need to make. Sometimes, safe is not the best game to play; on the otherhand, if you play with fire, you will get burned. You have to have a good balance to build and lead a great army, but never forget that while accomplishments are great, our goals should be focused on the future of the armies we are part of and the community we are in.
Logical: i mean if you wanna earn a nomination just be consistent and put in the hard work and do meaningful things and be outspoken. In reality tho it all wont matter if your not having fun with what your doing, legend is cool and all but the memories you will make outweigh it tenfold. Whatever you do make sure you enjoy it and have fun with it. That will carry you farther then doing something for a nomination .
Bestpenguin: My advice would be, do not aim to get a legend. Just be yourself, be kind, love your community, care for your troops, make them smile, and let your efforts be natural. Your efforts will give you a nomination!
Moon: I don’t have any advice myself, I just led my army and did whatever I could. Maybe try and do your best?
Do you have any final comments for the wider community?
Ugly: 2026 is the year everything changes.
Ghostt: Yeah, I think that the community needs to band together and start doing things to encourage people to make new armies as well as make the ability to create new armies as simple as possible. I truly love this community and think that some of the most fun you can have comes from getting a group of friends together and starting your own army. Don’t worry about your performance or anyone’s comments. Just do your thing and have fun. That is what SR taught me
Daniel20448: Happy Holidays!
Echo: At the end of the day legend is a title for a penguin game. Whether you obtain it or not it doesn’t define your worth in life. Pursue bigger goals.
SavageCobra: Vou mandar IP grabber
Coolguy: We don’t see oxygen, we don’t see the air, we don’t see how this planet keeps on changing, but it keeps us alive, it helps us live another day. Not every important aspect will be noticeable, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less important. Good luck Gabi
Logical: Thanks to everyone who supported me during my career and also a massive thanks to my enemies without them none of this would have been fun for me personally.
Bestpenguin: Keep doing your best and love people with all your heart.
Moon: Very cool, Kanye.
This nomination is important to each nominee for a different reason. Although some reminisce on their time spent in the community fondly, others may think differently on it. What is clear though, is that each of this year’s nominees has worked incredibly hard to get where they are now. Stay tuned, as the results for this induction are expected to be announced soon. Best of luck to all! Who would you like to see get nominated next year?
