More than half of the month is over, with only 8 days remaining until Christmas. This is the seventeenth edition of the special Christmas column, which includes historical information and daily challenges to the community.

INTRODUCTION
Like the previous ones, this issue is divided into 4 sections, with the first one being the introduction. As mentioned in the Christmas 2025 @ CPA, the posts of this column will include the “This Day in History” of the day, as well as the daily challenge to the community. There will also be a fun fact in the end of the post.
This day in history – december 17
Water Vikings Regain Leaders and Members
Between December 16 and 17, 2015, the Water Vikings saw many former members return. This happened after the army suffered a great fall. While it was dominating the Top Tens some months prior, they had fallen. They went from maxing over 45 to cancelling events and having around 25 troops online, as well as being in a war against the Ice Warriors. It all began after the sole Vikings leader, Katie, addressed the WV situation in a protected post. Following that, DrMatt came back from his leave to help the army rise.
Additionally, Stromae and KingFunks4 also returned to the army, stating that they were planning to help repair the army. Funks also released a post regarding his aims for the army. As a result of their return, other former Vikings members also followed. WV hosted a return event to celebrate, as an invasion against IW, where they maxed 37.
Winged Hussars Return
On December 17, 2023, the Winged Hussars registered to the Club Penguin Armies. The army was initially created in January 2019 as a form of an exodus from the Templars. More about their earlier history can be found through this CPA post. The army returned in November 2023 and initially maxed below 10. They finally reached the required size needed to register in CPA, at the time, on December 17. Initially, when the army got registered, it was led by Shinzo, Ripmam and Lady Eden. The army participated to several wars and tournaments, winning the Project Conquest: Blood Bowl SM division. The army eventually shut down about a year after its return, on December 10, 2024.

In Klondike, everyone is celebrating Christmas, but… something weird is going on… turns out, someone dressed up as Santa but forgot the beard… ehhh, at least they look so dapper.
But what’s going on with Edu rn? Turns out Jojo dared Edu to fly using his sled for 10 million gambling chips…. and that’s why Edu is flying.
So now, why is Zooy a snowman? Well, Zooy wanted to copy Yeeter‘s pose, but uhhh…. he’s just too short to do it. Yeeter had a silly idea. She decided to make Zooy as a snowman… well, that’s just one way to pose.
But what about the puffles? Well, Lirri found a puffle transformer for 2 hours and decided to use it in front of her own puffle, Felix. At least it worked.
What about Snowyplayer and Kira? What are they doing? Well, they are talking bout posts and some stuff, that’s all.
What about Ams? What is she doing? Well, she’s just delivering presents using the Aliens‘ UFO.

You have 7 days to complete it. Make sure to message a screenshot showing that you completed the challenge to one of the following people: Edu14463, Jojo Teri, Kazoo, Tulip, Yeeter, Zooy. Completing any of the 24 Challenges will grant you the basic participation role. Additionally, successfully finishing at least 4 of this week’s challenges will grant you the competitor role. If you complete all 7 of this week’s challenges, though, you will receive the Challenge Master role. The highest tier reward will be given to the people who complete all 24 challenges. They will be allowed to add a preferred emoji to the server, as long as it adheres to the server rules.
Fun Fact
Throughout this year, over 50 armies have hosted at least one event, which is the most the community has seen since 2021.
