Last week, the Templars saw the return of one of their greatest leaders of all time, Sidie9, the former Empress of Templaria. Today, we will investigate her army history and see what led to her return.
Sidie’s History
Sidie9 was first introduced to the army community in 2010, after she joined the Special Weapons and Tactics, participating in a rogue event. She would go on to join the Ice Warriors the following year; however, she soon became frustrated at the lack of AUSIA armies. As such, she founded the Army of Darkness, and followed up with the Army Union and Heroes. In 2013, Sidie would find herself in command of the Hot Sauce Army, where she would go on to best the Doritos‘ and Light Troops‘ AUSIA divisions. Recognised as a Small/Medium Legend in 2012, Sidie would also venture into Major territory with armies such as the Army of Club Penguin.
Following a break from armies, Sidie would return in the Private Server era, as Second-in-Command of the Clovers. This did not last for long, as Sidie would go on to found the People’s Imperial Confederation. Founded alongside her friend Proditor, PIC would go on to be known as one of the strongest S/M forces, winning three tournaments in a row.
Most recently, and most relevant to today, in 2024, Sidie joined the Templars as a Grand Prior, their leader role. Two short months following this, Sidie would be further promoted to the rank of Empress. During her time in TCP, Sidie led the army to the third round of Legends Cup XIV and used the Sapphire Concordat to beat the Secret Service in an epic clash. Eventually, she would step away from the army, due to personal commitments, marking a desire to return. Due to her dedication to the army, Sidie was inducted into the TCP Hall of Fame in April 2025.

Return to Templaria
On November 31, Templars founder Xing would make an incredibly brief announcement, declaring the return of their former Empress. Following this, Sidie released a post on the Templars’ website, detailing her thoughts on the current state of TCP. Sidie would hint at another Golden Era for the army, commending current leaders, but saying more could be done.
Whilst reminiscing on her former tenure, Sidie claimed her title as the new Regent of Jerusalem. Despite having a controversial past, Sidie evidently seeks to restore the army to a stronger state. With recent wars with the Void Troops heavily impacting the community’s perception of the army, it is clear that change is needed. Following the departure of former Emperor Echo, many believed the army to be in a catatonic state; however, Sidie is attempting to combat these claims.

With the return of one of the Templars’ most recognised and highly coveted leaders, many are wondering if this will be a watershed moment for the army. Despite adversity, there is hope that Sidie will usher in a new age of prosperity for the Crusaders. What are your thoughts on her return?
