We are now on the eighth day of December, with 17 remaining till Christmas. This is the eighth edition of the special Christmas column, which includes historical information and daily challenges to the community.

Introduction
Like the previous ones, this issue is divided into 4 sections, with the first one being the introduction. As mentioned in the Christmas 2025 @ CPA, the posts of this column will include the “This Day in History” of the day, as well as the daily challenge to the community. There will also be a fun fact in the end of the post.
This day in history – december 8
A War is Declared
On December 8, 2013, the Light Troops declared war on the Nachos. The declaration happened through an announcement, in which LT stated that they wanted a fun war, as both armies had been in decline. They believed a fun and fair war would fix that and were open to the possibility of returning the servers back after the war was over. The 2 armies were in similar positions in the Top Tens, with the Nachos being a bit lower than LT, dropping much steadily in a small amount of time. All three divisions, US, EU, AUSIA were involved into the war.
A Global Agreement
On December 8, 2012, the Global Ceasefire went into effect. The pact stated that armies within it could not be declared at war, be raided, or raid and join wars, but they could still host practice battles and other non-war events. It was agreed to last from December 8 up until December 29, giving the armies 3 weeks of peace. The armies that did not join the pact were not protected by it, but they were still forbidden to wage war and raid the ceasefire participants. They were still allowed to perform acts of war against non participating armies.
Army leaders of the community were able to sign the pact and ratify it. It would take effect as soon as two thirds agree with it. Eventually, nine armies ratified the pact and chose to join its protection. Those were the Nachos, the Special Weapons and Tactics, the Global Defenders, the Club Penguin Night Divers, the Cabin Defenders, the Army of Club Penguin, the Metal Warriors, the Underground Mafias Army and the Pretzels of Club Penguin.

Completing any of the 24 Challenges will grant you the basic participation role. Additionally, successfully finishing at least 4 of this week’s challenges will grant you the competitor role. If you complete all 7 of this week’s challenges, though, you will receive the Challenge Master role. The highest tier reward will be given to the people who complete all 24 challenges. They will be allowed to add a preferred emoji to the server, as long as it adheres to the server rules.
Fun Fact
This is the 3301st post published on the Club Penguin Armies website. That’s more than you would probably expect. The reason for that is that the website contains the Club Penguin Army Headquarters and Club Penguin Army Network organisations, as they were CPA’s predecessors. Regardless, CPA still has 2346 posts published on its own.
