Christmas Chaos XV has already started, with the major armies having their next battle next week, in the Quarter Finals. The Army of Club Penguin and the Water Vikings chose to practice for it better by hosting a practice battle. Let’s see how that ended up. The battle was judged by Villa, a People’s Imperial Confederation leader. Let’s see what his battle summary was.
Room 1 – The Docks – Tie
Room 1 began with both ACP and WV entering simultaneously. ACP formed a BL, while WV set up a downward-right arrow. ACP looked significantly larger, while WV’s formation had several noticeable gaps. Both armies started off somewhat slow, though WV showed slightly better tactic completion early on. Both armies began improving speed. The sizes were 30-18 in favor of ACP. ACP waterfalled, which WV defended poorly, exposing some AFKs. WV bombed, followed by ACP forming what appeared to be a triangle before correcting into a UV. WV transitioned into a very solid UT. Sizes remained 29-18 ACP. WV appeared larger than its actual size at times. Both sides lacked consistent tactic completion. WV’s right side was slow. WV bombed again, which was met with a good defense from ACP. It then formed an X, as ACP struggled a bit into their next form, a UT that could be more spread out. WV died for a brief moment before recovering. ACP adjusted and looked a bit bigger there, with both sides using creative tactics but maintaining a slower speed.

Room 2 – Stadium – ACP
Room 2 began with WV entering first, forming a plus, followed by ACP with an underlined V. ACP’s V appeared very wide. WV died for a second. Both armies looked solid, but WV controlled the middle while ACP looked noticeably bigger. Sizes were 29–19 ACP. Neither army moved for the first few minutes, until :14 when ACP raked, which was quickly defended by WV, exposing a few ACP AFKs. WV bombed, and ACP transitioned into an A formation, slightly gappy but well spread. WV responded with an L, which was proven to be ineffective against ACP’s A. ACP’s larger size allowed them to control the middle and cover the room well. ACP performed a whirlpool, with WV providing a good defense. It remained organized, moving into a plus formation as WV raked. ACP reformed quickly, looking clean. WV transitioned into a V with some right-side gaps, while ACP underlined their plus, briefly showing a left-side gap that was quickly fixed. WV could mostly be seen through BWBs as ACP’s completion and coverage outperformed them heavily.

Room 3 – Casa Fiesta – ACP
Room 3 began with WV entering first, forming a plus, while ACP surrounded the room. WV controlled the middle early on, appearing bigger than their actual size. Sizes were 29–19 ACP. ACP started to overwhelm WV as the room progressed, showing great completion and with their clean circle. WV picked up speed as ACP raked. Then, it bombed, and ACP transitioned into a massive X formation that dominated the screen. WV shifted into a UY, while ACP briefly died before recovering. Both armies began slowing down near the midpoint. Sizes were 28–19 ACP. ACP waterfalled, meeting with a strong defense from WV, who then whirlpooled but remained mostly covered. ACP transitioned into a clean U, while WV formed an X and looked large for its size. WV’s speed and coverage improved toward the end, briefly matching ACP’s, but it began to fade in the final moments as ACP sped up again.

What Went Well
Villa comments that ACP had better coverage both in their forms and during movements, while WV looked bigger than their sizes and maintained a good speed. Both armies were creative in tactics and improved their speed throughout the battle.
Even Better If
According to Villa, the battle would be even better if ACP moved faster into forms and avoided bunching or slowing down while changing forms. It would also be better if WV held tactics for more time and tried to choose counter forms. Lastly, both armies should have maintained consistency and avoided dying in the middle of the room while being more in sync during their movements.
The battle seems like an interesting one to watch. Even though ACP had a large size advantage, WV managed to win a room. Which army do you think will make it further in the CCXV tournament? Will the 2 armies end up meeting in the finals of the tournament?
