On Friday, November 28, the Nokias registered with Club Penguin Armies after maxing 1 at their opening event. Within just about 24 hours of its opening, Nokias leader Elite888 declared war against the wii phone, another army that had opened in September this year under Lort533‘s leadership. Both armies share the unique trait of their identities being based on memes regarding cellular devices. This development comes soon after the recent chaos in the wii phone leadership, after which former WP leaders Katsura and Elite888 defected to create the Nokias.

However, the declaration of war was already hinted at hours before it was officially made. On the day before the conflict began, the Nokias had unveiled the plan in their Discord server, making it clear that the army had been created to fight the wii phone. The Nokias retried declaring war as their initial terms were repeatedly invalid. Now, the free-for-all war has no overriding terms, meaning anyone may aid an army in battle as per the league’s rules.

Moreover, in the latest weekly Top Ten, the Nokias placed last whilst the Wii Phones did not appear on the list at all. As a result, this may make the war a low-profile conflict, especially considering no battles have been scheduled yet. Additionally, wii phone has not yet provided any public statement regarding the war, with no information available on their server.
