Christmas is getting closer day by day. This is the first edition of the special Christmas column, which will include historical information and challenges to the community.

Introduction
The first issue of the column is divided into 5 sections, with the first one being the introduction. As mentioned in the Christmas 2025 @ CPA, the posts of this column will include the “This Day in History” of the day, as well as the daily challenge to the community. There will also be a fun fact in the end of the post. Some editions, like the first one, will also include a news recap, so you can find out recent news more easily while completing the challenge.
This day in history – december 1
Christmas Chaos III Round 1
In 2013, on December 1, the first round of Christmas Chaos III took place. In it, there were 8 battles with 16 armies participating, with 15 of them showing up. Many notable historical armies were participating in it, some of which remain open today. The winners of the round were the Army Republic, the Underground Mafias Army, the Dark Warriors, the Nachos, the Doritos, the Army of Club Penguin, the Ice Warriors and the Rebel Penguin Federation. All these armies managed to proceed to the next round, which took place the following week. IW had the largest max, reaching 47 troops online.
Advent Challenges Begin
Club Penguin Army Central hosts its Christmas Advent Challenges. They had a similar format to the current one, Road to Christmas that Club Penguin Armies are currently holding. There were 3 editions with the first being in 2014 and the following ones in 2015 and 2016. The last 2 editions were simpler as there was only a trivia included, with the first winner receiving Xats as a reward. The 2014 was more detailed and looked more similar to the 2025 one. It contained a variety of challenges and had a more sophisticated planning on releasing them. It also included a very small “On This Day” part.
Daily Challenge – December 1
Today’s challenge is: Change your name in the CPA server to “Winter Festive Season”.
You have 7 days to complete it. Make sure to message a screenshot showing that you completed the challenge to one of the following people: Edu14463, Jojo Teri, Kazoo, Kiltanon, Tulip, Yeeter, Zooy. Completing any of the 24 Challenges will grant you the basic participation role. Additionally, successfully finishing at least 4 of this week’s challenges will grant you the competitor role. If you complete all 7 of this week’s challenges, though, you will receive the Challenge Master role. The highest tier reward will be given to the people who complete all 24 challenges. They will be allowed to add a preferred emoji to the server, as long as it adheres to the server rules.
Fun Fact
This year, there have been 5 tournaments that contained a Small Medium army division in them. These were the Candy Crasher, in February, the Around the World Cup 2, in May and June, the SM only Summer Blitz, in August, the October Horrors, in October and the Christmas Chaos XV now.
