Recently, we have seen the Templars lose one of their most valued leaders, Moon. Today, we will investigate what led to her retirement and what the Knights will do going forward.

Moon’s History
Moon was first introduced to the Army’s community as a member of the Secret Service in late 2021. On December 19 of that same year, she would enlist in the Templars and begin forging her legacy. Working her way through the ranks, rising to High Command, and eventually being promoted to leader in March of 2023. Unfortunately, Moon would take a step back from the army on June 5, 2024, resigning from her position as Grand Prior.
Although she had retired, this would not last, as in October of 2024, Moon made her return alongside Maguro and Caracal Cat. During both of her periods as leader, the Templars achieved great feats. Under Moon’s command, TCP were no strangers to war, engaging in combat with armies such as the Rebel Penguin Federation and the Elite Guardians.

An Eternal Sunshine
On October 25, Moon announced that she would once more be retiring from the army. In an announcement made in the Templars’ Discord, she released a post detailing fond memories of her time and providing her swan song to armies.
Moon’s resignation comes at a tumultuous time for the Crusaders, with Emperor Echo departing during October and the induction of new leaders Zez and Borapenguins. Recently, Templars’ Top Ten positions have been on the lower end of the list, signalling that a necessary change is needed within the army.

Moon announce’s her retirement to the Templars
To find out more about her resignation, Club Penguin Armies contacted Moon for an exclusive interview.
I. Your name and the Templars have become almost synonymous. What led to you resigning?
Honestly, it was demands in my personal life (studies, etc.) cutting into my time and energy for Templars. It’d be unfair for me to hold a leadership position knowing that I couldn’t fulfill my duties adequately. If others could step down for the same reason, I don’t see why I couldn’t, and I’m getting really old.
II. Thank you, it can be difficult to strike a balance between personal life and armies. Do you feel that, once these personal demands subside, you could return to leadership?
Even if my personal demands subside, I won’t return to leadership — I quite frankly don’t want to. I love Templars, but it gets tiring after the intial newness wears off. I’ve stuck by this army for longer that what I expected, I’ve done all I could. The way I see it, there’s nothing left for me there.
III. Very understandable, everyone has to leave a point. Do you see a future for yourself at all in armies, even within the community? Can we still expect you to be active following your departure from leadership?
Yes, I’ll still be a mod/judge and still talk, just less frequently.
IV. That’s good to hear. Lastly, how do you think your departure will affect the Templars, and do you have any parting messages for the army?
Not really, I think Templars will be fine, if not better under Bora/Zez.
Following Moon’s departure, the Templars are now in an uncertain state. Only time will tell if the new TCP leaders will rise to the occasion to fill the shoes that Moon has left behind. Will the new leadership of Borapenguins and Zez restore the army to its former glory? Could we see TCP rise to Major status? Will they be a contender for the upcoming Christmas Chaos tournament?
