On October 11, the Romans leadership faced a significant change with the departure of Toxic Storm. This comes after a plethora of changes to the army’s command in recent weeks.

Toxic’s History
Toxic Storm is an established army veteran, having been a member of the community for over a decade. First enlisting in the Shadow Troops in 2014/2015, he went on to join the Help Force in 2017. He returned to ST, before their merge into the Golden Guardians, and then went on to found the Coup Crusaders with Catalyst. Whilst leading CC, Toxic dual enlisted in armies such as the Elites, and the Army of Club Penguin.
Following his removal from Coup Crusaders, ToxicStorm went on to serve as a Leader in Training of the Special Weapons and Tactics. Toxic would go on to found the Wet Army Penguins, assist TD999 with operating the Secret Service, and lead the Mercenaries. Alongside his leadership positions, he has also held roles in the Templars, and the Doritos.

Romans Rise and Fall
Toxic joined the Romans’ leadership on August 30, 2025, following the resignation of leader Sua. Since then, the Romans have engaged in a war with SWAT, in which they were ultimately victorious. Toxic Storm also aided the Romans in pursuing diplomatic relations with the Thunder Troops.
In recent weeks, the Romans leadership has been rather volatile, with many new faces coming and familiar ones leaving. Leaders Lawless and Games both resigned, with Yellow Typer, Znation, and Sumdog entering as commanders. Notably, the latter of these three resigned just hours later due to recent controversy.
Toxic’s departure does not come as a surprise to those aware of the Romans’ current state. After being relatively inactive for the past few weeks, it is evident that a change was required, which Toxic reflects in his resignation letter.
In an attend to find out more about his departure, and what he will do in the future, Club Penguin Armies contacted Toxic for an interview.
What led you to depart from Romans?
Well i am currently studying my MA in English language and Linguistics in Germany, being away from home and trying to stabilise there takes alot of effort. Time is valuable to me here and unfortunately I can’t provide much of it to romans. Long story short life got in the way.
Thank you. You mention life getting in the way which is inevitable, but does this mean we could expect a return to armies eventually?
I have been everywhere in armies, but now it’s different since a new chapter of my life has started. That being said, in a support role maybe if I have the time, but in a role that requires me to invest too much time, probably not. Overall I would say unlikely as studying abroad is already time consuming enough.
That’s very understandable, everyone has to retire at some point. As we move towards what seems to be the end of your career, do you feel accomplished with your time in the Romans, and armies as a whole?
Honestly im just too old for this, I know others have stayed, but this is just wasting time now. I love supporting my friends and I only joined Romans because close friends of mine were leading it . I am happy with my career, but leading Romans was a fun teamup. At this stage its not about what I can do for Romans, its about what I can do to enjoy this community with the friends I made. Call it selfish ,but alot of armies were built and made on selfish desires.
Thank you very much for your time, and ultimately, the point of Armies is to provide entertainment, which you accurately said. Before we finish, do you have any closing remarks or statements to the Romans, or the wider community?
I enjoyed Romans, but i am my own person with my own views on the world. My time and opinions are mine alone and I do not follow the philosophy of any army I join, so I encourage people to keep their individuality and not conform to social settings, but add to the conversation in a fruitful and meaningful way, thank you.
Clearly, Toxic’s departure from the Romans marks a new era for an army, with an almost entirely new leadership. Despite his unfortunate retirement, it is evident that Toxic is moving on to better things and pastures anew in life. But what do you think? What comes next for the Romans? Could we see ToxicStorm back leading soon?
