A well-established alliance between two main Small/Medium armies turned into ashes today. The Dark Warriors announced that they are terminating their alliance with the Romans. In this article, we aim to investigate this matter.

In the afternoon of October 11, today, the Dark Warriors surprised the army community by announcing that the army is officially severing its alliance connections with the Romans. Both armies have been allied since July 7, and even in the OG days of Club Penguin, DW and Romans were close allies. Thus, such a rupture comes as a shock to many. Most recently, both armies fought against each other in the Summer Blitz Small/Medium map tournament. The Dark Warriors came off as the ultimate winners of the tournament, followed by their now-former allies, who earned second place.

DW vs Romans in Summer Blitz
Why ‘now-former allies’, one might ask? Today, the Supreme Commander of the Dark Warriors, Justin (formerly Kyle104), announced that the army would be parting ways with the Romans. In it, DW informed that the Romans were not aligning with the core values of their army. Therefore, the leadership sees this as an opportunity to focus on internal growth, as they get ready for the upcoming Halloween tournament.
Given the announcement provided little context as to what exactly happened between both armies, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Justin in order to investigate the circumstances surrounding such a decision.
Why did the Dark Warriors come to this sudden decision?
It was a clear signal that the Romans weren’t interested in us or in our values. Trust and respect are the foundation of any strong alliance, and once that trust has been broken and our leadership is being undermined, there’s no way forward. So, we broke up the alliance. We couldn’t afford to be associated with a group that wasn’t going to do anything to protect us or our reputation. It was a tough call, but one that was necessary to protect the Dark Warriors and our future.
Do you believe this will affect DW internally?
Internally, we do not believe this will hurt the Dark Warriors. Instead, it has reaffirmed our unity. We made a decision to unally with the Romans in order to preserve the integrity of our army and make our members realize that we do not tolerate disrespect or lies especially when they are from so called allies. By upholding our leadership and being resolute regarding our values, we’ve only solidified the loyalty and trust in DW. Our troops know that leadership has their back, and that is what makes us strong.
Could you explain what ‘lies’ and ‘disrespect’ mean?
The lies we won’t speak too much on, but the respect part they seemed more interested in our enemies than they did with us.
Is there any chance that this bond will be reformed anytime in the future?
At this point, it’s unlikely that the bond between the Dark Warriors and the Romans will be reformed anytime soon.
From the answers above, it is safe to conclude that some kind of bad blood boiled between DW and Romans. What exactly constitutes the actions from the latter that upset the former remains a mystery. Nonetheless, we can speculate that the proximity between the Void Troops, DW’s enemies, and the Romans was a likely cause of such rupture. Do you believe we will see DW and Romans at war with each other? Or will they become friends once more?
