Over the past few weeks, the Romans have seen some dramatic shifts in their ranks. This week is no different, as long time veteran Games departs their leadership.

Romans’ History

The Romans are one of the oldest surviving armies, being founded in October 2006 by Explorer7777. Following Explorer’s departure, the army existed as rogue factions, before Djgtjvgyhxgy reunited the Romans, ushering in a golden age. From here the Romans thrived until 2017 and the closure of Club Penguin, following which they migrated to Club Penguin Rewritten.

Games has been an integral figure to the Legate over many years, but most recently since their revival in June of this year. Since their return, Games helped the Legate triumph over the Special Weapons and Tactics in an off-map war. Alongside this, Games was instrumental in developing diplomatic relations between Romans and armies such as Void Troops.

Games’ Retirement

Over the past week, Games made a quiet departure from his position of leadership. This follows shortly after Lawless departs the leadership, with Znation, Yellow Typer, and Sumdog replacing her. Interestingly, Sumdog was removed from his leadership position only hours after his promotion. Despite no formal announcement being made regarding Games’ retirement, it is sure this will leave a lasting impact on the Romans going forward.

In an attempt to find out more about his retirement, Club Penguin Armies contacted Games for an exclusive interview, however, he declined this request.

In summary, it is evident that the Romans will not be the same without Games around to guide them. Due to his long standing career, he had extensive knowledge of the community, and was a value asset, and he will be sorely missed. What do you think comes next for the Legate? Could we see more changes in their leadership following Games’ retirement? How will the army continue without one of their strongest leaders?
