Acp: A Brief HISTORY
The Army of Club Penguin was founded on September 29, 2006, by Oagalthorp, laying the foundation for armies as a whole. As one of the oldest armies, ACP’s history is vast and expansive. Over the past 19 years, the Clovers have had 53 Commanders, each wholly dedicated to the army.
Being one of the oldest armies means that ACP is no stranger to the battlefield. Most recently, they have faced off against the Aliens, and notably, they had a clash with Doritos earlier this year. The Clovers are no strangers to tournaments either, winning the prestigious Legends Cup XIII.

Modern ACP
Over the past year, the Army of Club Penguin has seen some distinct reforms. Notably, Roxy and Daniel, longtime ACP members, are now at the helm. This dynamic duo has found themselves in several wars, as aforementioned. Furthermore, the Clovers also saw success in this year’s Legends Cup, with a close result in the Quarter Finals, narrowly being defeated by the Help Force.
A large landmark of recent ACP history is their conflict last year with the Elite Guardians. The Centenary Solstice War, as it has come to be dubbed, was a 104-battle-long clash between two of the strongest armies of 2024, with ACP coming out on top. Consequently, this war has become a spectacle in the eyes of the community, highlighting how far modern conflict has come.

From Soldier to Civics
Many of ACP’s members have been former Department Heads, and additionally, some have even held the privilege of holding the title of Chief Executive Producer. Since the foundation of Club Penguin Armies, few have been as influential as Mr. Max. Former Clovers leader Max was first promoted to an Administrative role alongside Spotty in Club Penguin Army Headquarters. As a result, when CPA was formed from the merger of CPAHQ and Club Penguin Army Network, Max became one of the first CEPs.
Next up was Mchappy, a three-time ACP Commander and former Chief Executive Producer. On April 23, 2023, CPA ushered in a new era, with Mchappy and Disha stepping up as Administrators. Over the next year and a half, Mchappy would consistently pave the way with innovation after innovation, until his retirement on August 4, 2024. Although he had departed, another former ACP leader would take his place.
Following the devastating loss of Mchappy, another ACP leader took the helm of CPA. Coolguy was the Clover’s 50th Commander-in-Chief, but after Mchappy stepped down, he was promoted to Executive Producer. On November 22, 2024, Coolguy was promoted to CEP, creating a trilogy of ACP Administrators. Unfortunately, on June 15, 2025, Coolguy would retire, putting an end to the series of ACP Admins.

Through a review of participants’ results, we are able to gauge their knowledge of the Army of Club Penguin.
- 3/5 interviewees correctly identified that ACP was founded on September 29, 2006.
- All 5/5 responders knew Oagalthorp was the first ACP leader.
- Again, 5/5 participants correctly said Daniel was the most recently promoted ACP leader.
- 4/5 of those asked knew that Help Force eliminated ACP in this year’s Legends Cup.
- Once more, 5/5 interviewees knew that last year’s 104 battle war involving ACP was against the Elite Guardians.
- Lastly, only 1/5 responders correctly remembered that Mr. Max, Mchappy, and Coolguy are former Administrators who once led the Clovers.
Overall, the participants had an accuracy rate of 76.7%
As a result of today’s quiz, we now have a better understanding of the community’s knowledge of one of the oldest armies.
