From Soldier to Leader
Lawless first became involved with armies in May 2024, enlisting in the Rebel Penguin Federation. From here, she achieved the position of Staff, before leaving for the Secret Service, where she was a member of their High Command. At this same time, she was dual-enlisted in Aliens, before departing to found her own army. In October 2024, she founded the Lawyers of Club Penguin. November was an eventful month for Lawless, with Lawyers closing their doors and SS merging into Doritos.
Following her departure from DCP, she moved around several armies, such as the Army of Club Penguin and Void Troops, before finally returning to the chips. Following this, Lawless founded another army alongside Dbsa and Zay, entitled the Portal Hoppers. Around this same time, she dual-enlisted in Dark Warriors and later on Romans, which she would go on to lead. In September, Lawless also joined the People’s Imperial Confederation as a Leader-in-Training.
Lawless joined the Romans’ leadership on July 30, captaining the army through several wars, such as an off-map conflict versus the Special Weapons and Tactics. Lawless also helped the Legate achieve third place in the inaugural Summer Blitz tournament.

Romans Rising
The new leadership includes Znation, a former member of the Lime Green Army, Dark Vikings, and the Penguins of Madagascar. Znation recently joined Romans following short stints in both VT and Templars. Znation is joined by veteran army leader Sumdog, who has held positions in armies such as Scars of Club Penguin and PIC. The third and final new induction is Yellow Typer, a former SS troop, who has seen success leading the Dark Pirates, as well as founding his own army, the Fire Vikings.
On Tuesday, September 23, Yellow Typer announced that he, alongside Sumdog and Znation, would be moving up to the rank of leader. In the same announcement, he also declared that Lawless would be retiring, thanking her for her hard work and dedication.
To gain further insight into Lawless’ induction, and the trio’s promotions, Club Penguin Armies reached out to all four for an exclusive interview.
Lawless’ Interview
What has led you to part ways with Romans?
Honestly I can’t say overall it’s a departure from ROMANS, but because I’m cutting myself off from the community (naturally due to how toxic its become ngl).
You say you’re cutting yourself off from the community. Will you be entirely removed from CPA? Is there a chance you could ever return?
I’m considering sticking with judging as theres minimal community interaction but otherwise yes, I’ve left CPA entirely. As for returning, its possible but unless things get sorted out and I won’t be more stressed about this place than my job and university nahh 😭
You refer to “things getting sorted out”. Are there specific issues that caused you to leave the community?
Honestly yeah, tbh theres a lot of drama here and sure that’s fine but it gets to a point yknow? People create it for entertainment and hell I’ve been doxxed 3 times in the past due to it 😭😭 Overall though everything with the league rpf etc was sorta the last straw for me because they don’t deserve the backlash they’ve been getting tbh and some people genuinely just thrive on people being involved in scandals when half are exaggerated or simply false, never know when you’ll see yourself in one and over a game? I can’t understand it 😭
Do you have any last messages for the Romans’ troops, or the community as a whole?
Honestly this may get long but I’ll try here okay
Thank you to Romans for actually giving me the chance to lead despite my god awful reputation, honestly it’s been real fun and hey I was finally on the winning side of a war LOL. Also thanks to Monstah, Toxic, DJ (RETIRED), Games and Sua for being cool asf leaders to be alongside- keep doing what y’all do I love the vibe each of you have and I know you’re gonna keep bringing that into Romans. But not just about me, honestly thank you guys for giving Znation and Venom a chance in Romans too when most wouldn’t- both real close people to me and they’re great people so fr thank you for that.
As for the CPA community there’s a lot of people I could say things to but a huge huge shoutout to T_T for being my longest friend and always having my back, Joel, Link and 32op for being the very first people to ever mentor me without them I’d have been clueless lol. DBSA, Ant, Apryl and Nachoz for being the (incredible) friends i made along the way yall are fr great and every leader I’ve ever been enlisted under tbh all of you are cool
Znation, Sumdog, and Yellow Typers’ interview
How does it feel to be promoted to Romans leader?
Znation: It feels awesome imo, I never thought I’d get this far into cpa let alone get hcom but I did put a lot of effort in Romans and it feels like the work paid off and I finally got a position I have right now.
sumdog: I am honored to be promoted to leader in such a historic army. I’m really excited and looking forward to the future, we’ve got a lot planned.
Yellow Typer: It feels both exciting and humbling. Being trusted with the responsibility of leading such a historic and powerful army is an honor. I’m grateful for the opportunity, and I feel motivated to carry on the legacy of past leaders while pushing the Romans to new heights.
What do you and your other leaders hope to achieve? Do you have any big upcoming plans?
Znation: One of our best leaders (Judy) retired which is sad but me and my other fellow leaders yellow typer and sumdog have stepped up and hope to achieve big things for Romans. We have really big upcoming plans which we can’t spoil right now, but this new generation of leaders has planned new and exciting things for romans.
sumdog: My fellow Legates and I hope to raise Romans from the ashes and become dominant in the S/M army scene and perhaps, more. Stay tuned for our big plans.
Yellow Typer: Our main goal is to strengthen the Romans by building consistency, unity, and dominance on the battlefield. We want to make sure our troops feel rewarded for their efforts and proud to wear the Roman name. As for upcoming plans, we’re preparing to step up our presence in leagues, sharpen our performance in wars and battles, and organize events that show everyone exactly why Roma is a force to be reckoned with.
Any last remarks for the Romans’ troops or the wider community?
Znation: #FREEVENOM
sumdog: Be ready, the Romans are coming back stronger than ever before.
Yellow Typer: To our troops, you are the heart of this Empire. Your attendance, energy, and loyalty make all of this possible. Stay active, keep showing up, and together we’ll continue to prove our strength. To the wider community, expect to see the Romans making waves. We’re here, we’re hungry, and we’re ready to dominate. AVE ROMA!
Overall, the future looks promising for the Romans. Despite the loss of one of their hardest-working leaders, it is clear their future is in good hands. But what do you think? How will the new leadership dynamic play out? Will the Romans see more success than ever before?
