On August 17, the Shreks of Club Penguin opened their doors for the first time. In this post, we will investigate their entry into the community and examine what awaits the new army.

Just a week after the end of the Legends Cup XV tournament and shortly after Summer Blitz began, we see a fresh army join the community, the Shreks of Club Penguin. Named after the ogre from the eponymous movie, it was recently created by Viv. The opening was announced on August 16, with the army lead by Satchmo, Regan, and Sanya.

They held the opening event the following day. They initially maxed 11; however, due to a troop multi-logging, the final max was 10. Therefore, they reached the minimum size to register their army.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to SCP leaders Satchmo, Regan, and Sanya for an exclusive interview regarding the army’s opening.

What motivated the creation of the Shreks of Club Penguin, and why Shreks?

Satchmo: so viv mentioned that she streamed the shrek movie in CPA main and that led to a discussion about shrek 5 and how theyre rewriting it because of how predictable the plot was. someone then made a joke about a shrek army and the next thing you know viv has made the server for it. regan, sanya, zooy, mads, and i joined the server immediately. at first it was just an in the moment joke but eventually we realized the community needs a !a shrek command in CPAB. youre welcome CPA we are your saviors

Regan: Shreks were created because we all felt a great love for Shrek. Shrek is love to me since I was 9 years old. A few of us felt that way and wanted to see if we could still take the community by storm

Sanya: Honestly it was a fun things we all wanted to do and we all are in it for the fun and what’s more fun than shrek

Is there anything different from other armies on the Shreks?

Regan: Shreks pose a real underdog treath that we’re sure will shock the community. We’re well able to take over those Swamps you call servers. Even the ones that are Far Far Away

Sanya: Yes, we have shrek, donkey and Fiona. What do the other armies have Roblox recruits? MC recruits? HA. We have the three GOATS who’s green, who later turns green and a talking donkey and later a cat with a cape!

Did you face any obstacles when creating the army, and if so how did you overcome them?

Satchmo: we have sadly already been hit with a multilogging scandal in our opening event. one of our troops who i shall protect the privacy of decided to multilog. fortunately without his multilog we still hit the 10 penguin requirement and became official

Regan: Unfortunately we have already had multiple, from the name “PusdNBoots” being deemed inappropriate but our brave Creator and Legend Viv had made an understanding to allow PussNBoots to take the swamp by storm. A multilogging scandle was next, one of our members loved shrek so much they wanted to support us twice as much but that member had a a speaking to and any other incidents will result in them being locked in a tower guarded by a dragon

Sanya: Yes, we’ve faced minor obstacles like a certain individual who shall not be named MULTILOGGED because I guess his love of shrek was so strong he wanted to show twice at the same time and other than that we’ve already resolved that issue with the admins

Are there any goals you would like to accomplish with the army within CPA?

Satchmo: WAR DESTRUCTION AND RECLAIMING ME SWAMP
also making sure everybody in cpa can enjoy a pint

Regan: A starbucks obsessed former admin said that Shreks will never succeed. I would love to prove her wrong

Sanya: Of course my goals are to ensure the community knows about the magnificence of shrek and how important shrek is in our daily livelihood. We also want to have fun with this army we created and make memories together especially with my leaders who have a wide range of army experience where we all share the common goal of spreading the power of shrek through the cpa community!

Regan: Somebody once told me that Shreks will never succeed. Then Satchmo said he needed a hero and I came from far far away in my ice castle to help. Also GO GO WHITE SOX

With the Shreks of Club Penguin now being open, the leaders seem very motivated to grow the army. However, only time will tell whether it becomes a major force in the community. What do you think of the opening? Will the new army rise?
