OVERVIEW

With the Legends Cup XV tournament being right around the corner, the Help Force and Void Troops met up at the battlefield, with both armies looking forward to sharpening their performance. With the rooms being 5 minutes each and therefore the battle being 15 minutes in total, this was a relatively short battle. Regardless, both armies showed off their tactical prowess in this battle, but only one could come out on top.

ROOM 1 – INSIDE MINE

The room began with HF entering first, while VT followed shortly afterwards. VT made an inverted T, while HF had a V formation. VT had a size advantage of 20-13. At the halfway mark for the room, VT waterfalled into a plus. After that, HF defended by waterfalling and making an X, though it lacked a right side. HF’s slow speed hindered their ability to defend. VT was quicker with formations and with minimal gaps and AFKs compared to HF. Due to VT’s speed, formations, and their overall dominance, they win room 1.

ROOM 2 – FOREST

The room began with VT entering first, with HF following closely behind. VT formed a UV while HF chose an inverted T. Sizes were 20-12, with VT holding the size advantage. At the halfway point, VT bombs the room and covers HF. VT forms a complete V form. A bit later, the Helpers rake and create a UV, which took time to decipher due to the amount of out-of-form troops. Yet again, VT appeared to have quicker tactics and neater formations. As a result, VT showed greater control over the room, and they emerged victorious.

ROOM 3 – COVE

The room began with both armies entering at the same time, bombing. VT then made a UY form while the Helpers made a plus. VT had made a messy form initially before fixing it. HF also began picking up pace at the start of the room. VT then moved first, ranking, before HF also began raking the room. Both armies did well in the movements before VT moved into a slash formation, which initially looked like a stretched X. The Helpers moved into a V formation, which looked messy and took a while to fix. As both armies looked similar to each other and had similar moments of dominance, the room was declared a tie.

Judges’ verdict on the battle

In the end, the Void Troops were the winners of the battle, winning two rooms. However, despite this, the Help Force put up a great fight and even managed to tie the third room. Do you think the battle would end differently if the forms were less messy? Do you think this was a great practice for the upcoming Legends Cup?
