On June 10, the Romans of Club Penguin and the Void Troops made a new alliance. The former, freshly revived, sought strong diplomatic ties. Meanwhile, the latter are continuing their flat-out remarkable ascension from Small/Medium to Major.

Brothers in Arms: Void Troops and Romans Unite

Formed on April 27 by Logical and Kyle104, Void Troops has subverted the expectations of the community. By defeating the Special Weapons and Tactics, the Penguins of Agartha, and the Doritos of Club Penguin, they positioned themselves as a feared force within the Club Penguin Armies scene. Their audacious diplomatic relations with the Romans are proof that they are not just expanding their influence but are aspiring for far greater ambitions than just their birth as a small army.

In the meantime, the Romans have come back strong for their June 8 revival event. Their leadership wanted to ensure people formed alliances early, looked to reintegrate communities, and have a lasting foundation. Allies such as the Fire Vikings, Templars, and now the VT are responsible for engagements that show a carefully considered move towards lasting relevance.

Club Penguin Armies reached out to two representative leaders, Ugly and Djgtjvgyhxgy, for an exclusive interview to learn more about the alliance.

What led to the decision to formalize an alliance between Void Troops and the Romans?

Ugly: It was an instance of right place at the right time moment, as one of our people contacted one of roman’s when they were attending one of our battles during the DCP war about a potential alliance and things developed from there. We’ve found the Romans to be a pretty friendly and chill army with many people from there likewise.

DJ: Same reason for all our alliances: It pays to have friends.

How do you envision this alliance benefiting your respective armies in the long run?

Ugly: I think it’ll be a step in the right direction for both of us to strengthen our diplomacy and further our relations and we hope to continue on the right direction during that process.

DJ: VT have been incredibly supportive of our army since we’ve made our return. I forsee great things for the two of us going forward.

With so much volatility in CPA, wars, defacements, and army closures, what makes a strong alliance in today’s climate?

Ugly: Has to be based on mutual respect and hospitality as well as courage to be in the frontlines to defend one another when needed.

DJ: Shared values and good vibes.

Do you foresee joint operations, events, or other collaborations happening between the Romans and Void Troops soon?

Ugly: For sure.

DJ: Yeah.

This partnership sets the scene for both armies to train together, partner on events, and support one another within the CPA ecosystem. As the Romans rebuild and the Void Troops grow, their alliance signals a change in the power dynamic and resets the stage for new creative strategies. How long will this alliance last, and what is the next challenge they will take on together?
