OVERVIEW

Looking to sharpen up their game as the Legends Cup XV tournament approaches, the Army of Club Penguin and Help Force met on the battlefield for some high-level prep. The practice battle gave the two allies a chance to improve on their formations and coordination without losing anything. Despite that, the armies treated it like the real deal and pushed each other to bring out their best in this three-room clash.

ROOM 1 – FOREST

Both armies entered the room with ACP forming a clean backwards L, while HF attempted a messy X. HF struggled with AFK troops early on, while ACP remained active. Moving first, HF initiated a bomb, and ACP followed suit. HF executed a plus formation, and ACP formed an underlined V. Both forms were very neat and evenly covered. HF by now held a small size advantage of 13–16. Exiting the forms, ACP performed a rake while HF did a waterfall. The top half of the Y formation from ACP covered HF, who started to suffer from gaps in their form. Both armies fought for coverage until the end of the room, but the speed, form strength, and covering from ACP gave them the edge. ACP takes room one.

ROOM 2 – MINES

HF entered the room first with ACP right behind them. HF made a Y formation, and ACP made an L. ACP now caught up to HF in size, 17-16 ACP. The Clovers used those new troops noticeably, as they had covered HF greatly. HF then carried out a waterfall, and ACP grouped in the center of the room. Afterwards, HF cleanly executed an X formation, and ACP answered with a waterfall and formed an underlined V after. ACP had a weak chat-bar line, and the two armies went silent for some time. Picking back up again, HF covered the underlined V from ACP extremely well with a rake. HF then transitioned into a backwards C, and ACP went into a plus formation. HF appeared nicely in their backwards C but became bunched by the neatness of ACP and their plus. Breaking formation early, the Helpers raked the room, but ACP defended well. HF then shifts into a diagonal formation, and ACP bombs to close out the room. As the more active and stronger army, ACP takes another room.

ROOM 3 – COVE

Yet again, HF entered first with ACP close behind. Both armies started with an anchor formation, but HF lost strength in their formation due to AFK troops. HF moved to a rake with no defense from ACP. HF then shifted to an X formation, which ACP attacked with a bomb. The attack was defended late by HF. After the bomb, ACP settled into a tight diagonal formation. At this point, ACP had stronger coverage over HF and maintained its size advantage, 20 to 19. Coming out of their X, HF hit back with a bomb, and ACP defended using a waterfall. HF then executed a clean L formation, but ACP still had better coverage. Despite the well-crafted L, HF seemed to slow down, allowing ACP to dominate until the end of the room. With stronger coverage and activity, ACP wins the final room and are the victors of this battle.

Despite the 3–0 outcome from the Army of Club Penguin, this battle was not without some strong moments from Help Force. With clean formation executions and nicely timed rakes, HF had ACP on the ropes a few times. However, ACP remained dominant from start to finish with better form coverage and activity in their tactics. Practice makes perfect, and the armies want to be just that. This was a strong practice battle from both sides, ensuring they improve on themselves before the glamorous Legends Cup. Do you think the armies will be ready in time? If you were leading, what would you have done differently in this battle?
