Club Penguin Armies – 2025.1 Quality Check

On April 29, we asked the army community to leave the new Administration some feedback, questions, and criticism. Now, it is time to visit what the community has to say.

Designed by Master DS

Following Mare‘s retirement, the new Administration wanted to ensure Club Penguin Armies would still be in touch with the desires of what the community wants. Thus, following the footsteps of former Chief Executive Producer Mchappy, we have decided to divulge a new edition of Quality Check. This time, the community was also able to evaluate CPA’s departments and give them some suggestions.

Furthermore, we boldly proposed to answer ALL serious and appropriate questions/feedback that we received. And so we did. Our department heads also cooperated with the Administration in this process. Thus, we already thank you for all the 103 responses we received and answered.

Without further ado, let us embark on this quality check (credits to Dino for this ToC).

Community Committee

Answered by Community Committee Heads Frickle and Zooy

Host some more gamenights!

Yes, we will definitely try hosting more game nights! They take a little bit more planning, and not too many people show up, so that’s why we don’t have too many right now, but we can definitely have more if we get more people engaged with the game nights!

-Zooy

Thanks for showing your interest!!! We will try our best! If you have any ideas, please DM the heads or members of the Community Committee.

-Frickle

More large projects and less doing the same thing. There’s a lot of stuff that could be done I believe I did suggest something some time ago for a CC head but idt it was taken seriously. Some large projects like the olympics that could take a set amount of participants from each army and see which army gets the most points through various games, or could have a bracket system that could work too.

Yes, we’ve been planning an event similar to that on the back burner for a while, thank you for reminding us to get back onto that! CC heads get busy and stuff, so feel free to remind us in DMs about your ideas; we love to hear them, and we’re definitely not intentionally ignoring you.

-Zooy

Ty for the reminder and thanks for some ideas!! We love to hear them, we apologize if it was seen that we were ignoring you, it was unintentional!

-Frickle

Their community events seem rushed and not planned that well. It was noticeable Mare seemed to run a lot of the events instead of CC Heads. Also when the CC Heads run the award “galas” it’s boring with all the vcs and chats being locked and the CC Heads stay muted and do not hype at all. I also rarely see them in main chat hyping any CC events. The ideas seem good but they aren’t executed well at all and I forget half the time we have CC Heads.

I agree we have been rushing events a little too much recently, and we’re definitely trying to improve on that. It takes a lot of time to see who in CC can help and how to organize things, so we just need to dedicate more resources to those subgroups of CC so that we can really have more fully fleshed community events. Mare was cool, I agree. And yes, I definitely agree Frickle and I haven’t been doing our utmost best to hype, and we admit those faults; we will try to do better.

-Zooy

Ah yeah I can agree and see that we have been rushing the events, we’ll take more time to improve. We will def try to start planning them earlier to ensure better outcomes and more hyped up events! Thanks for letting us know that it is boring with vcs and chats being locked, we will try to find a better solution to ensure the galas are more fun for everyone.

-Frickle

I love yall but be more creative on polls/QOTD pls

Sounds good, thank you for the feedback!

-Zooy

We will let the CC team know! If you have any poll suggestions please let us know.

-Frickle

The Community Committee has done their job well. However, I feel that themed weeks should be less prioritized and themes picked should be broader. The themes selected by the Community Committee do not interest many people, and they are too specific.

Will do, we’re still trying to strike that balance; the question is always “what’s the goldilocks’ zone for everyone to enjoy”. Because of that, it’s really important you come to us about feedback on specific themed weeks so that we know which themes are too vague or too niche!

-Zooy

If you feel this way, please let us know any examples of specific themed weeks that you and others would enjoy more!!

-Frickle

have more fun events!! spice things up, do grams more often if u can

I love grams frrr! If you have any suggestions for fun events, let us know! We’ll do our best to make it happen!

-Zooy

Ok!! We will try our best for more fun events and grams but in more variants so it doesnt get boring again 🙂

-Frickle

Perhaps a sort of “once a month” event would be cool, provides something to do whenever armies are rather slow.

YESSSSSSSSSSssss, I’ve wanted to do something like that; I’m not sure what form the event would take though, many people have brought up different ideas! We could definitely start experimenting with some events though!

-Zooy

I like this idea!!! Let us know any specific ideas yall have! I think a consistent event each month would make the community have more interest and wanting for our events!

-Frickle

And here is the other feedback the department received:

  • Keep doing creative games! I dont actually end up participating in your holiday events, but they look really cool and i would partake if i wasnt an army leader and had time.
  • ok real talk community committee is fire ty
  • Keep putting in hard work
  • It’s nice

GRAPHICS DEPARTMENT

Answered by Head of Branding Master DS

They take time out of their own day to draw comics, And make icons

Use more consistent images as bases for the graphics!

Though we do have a reserve filled with penguin bases for each army, the topic for each article can differ to the point that using the bases isn’t enough to concretely convey the message of the topic, especially when the report isn’t specifically about a particular army. Also, we have different artists that like to put their creative spin to the thumbnails we produce in order to bring something new to the table, and they do a fantastic job with it, especially when there isn’t a base available that the artists specifically needs.

i would love to have a list of background assets and penguin poses because I find that to be the hardest thing to find/make. I also would love to see a list of what dimensions to use, brush sizes …

The assets we use generally come from all over the internet but one particular website we like using is this. Our thumbnails typically have dimensions of 1920×1080. As for brush sizes, it depends on what you are planning on drawing. You would need to see which brush size works the best for you.

They do a superb job working

Top tier graphics

i love it

Amazing work, fast turnout, everything’s already the best it can be! Honestly no clue how to use #gfx-assignments, but… :/

Skilled.

Yall do fire work yall deserve recognition u get a 10

The Graphics Department does an excellent job at creating quality graphics for the league. However, it is a pity to see that the department is very small and very slow. As a reporter and former editor in this league, I feel that creating graphics takes longer than usual. Maybe, more graphics designers could be hired and better technology be recommended for the graphic designers?

Our team is indeed the smallest among the others as many of our artists have either retired or simply gone off the radar due to various reasons. We are currently in the process of hiring new designers for the department but it the process might be a bit slower due to the rarity of good designers these days in the community as a whole.

keep up the good work

My only comment would be recruitment. This department is by far the most skilled and least appreciated, so I understand it may be a struggle to get people involved. Overall the Graphics Department do an outstanding job.

thank u ty

No suggestion, ily artists we could never give you enough appreciation!

moderation DEPARTMENT

Answered by Head Moderators BestPenguin and Jojo Teri

You guys are awesome! Never give up!

They do a pretty good job at what they are doing *besides Aisha glad she’s gone*

Thank you, we are glad that you like our work

You guys are awesome! Never give up!

Thank you for your positive feedback!

I dont talk that much in chat nor do i often see mods in chat but whenever i am in there its not a warzone most of the time so thats good.

Thank you, we try our best and we hope to create an environment where you can easily talk to people in the chat:)

Treadmill please

Bet dm me your address, I’ll send you a treadmill

Ban all ppl who are breaking rules

Yes, we try our best to moderate the server and keep the serial rule breakers outside of CPA server.

They focus more on removing text from memes, but do a good job

Removing text / cringe memes from the meme channel is one of the parts of the moderator job, thank you for the feedback, we will try our best..

More diversity in the team

Ever since that comment we have hired people from various armies, ensuring that there is as much diversity as possible, without having too many people from the same army. Thank you for your suggestion

bad

😦

Honestly they give a lot of mixed signals with what is and isn’t allowed in the chats. A lot of the times the team ignores when the filter is evaded, or people are bullying others or breaking other rules and when contacted they usually just laugh and ignore. The team needs an overhaul and they need to moderate their friends too and maybe re-do the server rules seeing as a lot aren’t followed and make clear what is and isn’t allowed.

Filter evasion is not to be allowed, the message with the normally filtered word should be deleted and then depending on the situation there can be a warn/mute/kick/ban. Of course, we try our best to moderate the server but sometimes we might missout few details. As a kind and active cpa member you can always ping any of the mod in the chat when you think someone is breaking any rules, we would love to help and we try our best to keep the community safe.

More people in community chat moderating pls

We hired more mods recently to ensure that there are more people online at all times, but if you see someone breaking rules, you can always reach out to a moderator online, they will love to help you out

The Moderation Department is doing well in their job. However, I feel that moderators should at least be the ones who care about the rules, instead of appearing nonchalant to them. It is more important for a moderator to keep the rules in mind compared to a commoner. Additionally, moderation is severely lacked around late night (after midnight) EST. I see rules being broken around this time more often, and most moderators are not around.

Thank you for your positive comment, agreed, mods should be the ones respecting the rules even more than the average person. If you notice a case of a moderator breaking rules you can report it to the head mods or the admins. After hiring new mods we hope that moderation no longer lacks. In case there is no mod in chat and there is moderation needed, feel free to ping any online mods

Implement rules properly, dont pick and choose

Evaluate everything fairly. There are instances of people being warned where others wouldn’t and vice versa, I don’t know if it’s a per mod basis or a per person basis but something needs to be sorted.

We try to keep a fair stand in the community regardless of our friends or armies. In a general level, all rules are to be implemented and there are clear instructions on how to handle each situation. But depending on the occasion, there may be slightly different approaches. Also, each case is different so there might not be a pre-determined way to handle it, but it depends on the context surrounding it. If you feel we are being biased, you can always reach out to a Head mod or an Admin, and we will try our best to help you out.

To go back and clear bans which aren’t properly justified.

If someone feels that they shouldn’t be banned they can message a head mod or an admin and ask for a ban appeal.

youtube DEPARTMENT

Answered by Head YouTuber Rye Bread

More tournament videos!!

We should definitely do more tournament videos :D, but only CPA tourneys

Upload more community-focused videos, as in videos where the community gets to participate!
well, i have a few opinions on the youtube department but i will save that for the group chat 😉

This was me

You guys still exist? Smash or pass army uniform edition

smash or pass

Make more shorts

What more shorts can we do? I’ve personally never made short-form content, so I’m genuinely curious. We will certainly try to innovate.

Could be more expanded on, I feel like they been lacking a bit with how much videos are out and some important battles that I was looking forward to see taking like 2 weeks to be published.

Yeah we need to be more strict with deadlines and making sure people upload & send videos ASAP so they don’t forget.

Usually very late in posting videos to do with battles or tournaments etc. The videos are over-edited, I always mute the videos and I’m sure others do too, there is no need for music and I don’t like how rushed the speed is in videos.

Well everyone has their own opinion, I’m sure an OG wrote this since they’re used to watching longer videos. I personally don’t like the intro music, I’ve expressed my thoughts on this before, but I do like having a song in there. We could do a poll on YT server to see what the team thinks.

add more stuff. upload more often. report on major stuff and battles with voice overs

We should do news reports of dramas that happen, war declarations, and other stuff. I am bad at voice tbh, but I can help doing it,

This department carried by the same 4 people but yall still be cooking proud of yall

Thanks.

The YouTube Department is doing great. However, it hasn’t been posting much. It is also very inconsistent in posting videos and looks “indecisive” in choosing what event should be shot. A broader range of videos should be shot and armies should be given the option to be recorded for special events. This could be very easily done by finding more members for the YouTube Department.

Armies can request their battles to be recorded by CPA YouTube team. Ever since we received this message, we hired 8+ new YouTubers and are in the process of training them to editors.

more cpa sings

yay more cpa sings [editors nightmare]

Could get videos of tournament battles out a bit faster

Yea, I agree. We are working on it.

The coverage of March Madness was excellent, just think overall there should be more content although again I know recruitment may be tough. I liked the concept of Klondike After Hours despite its unfortunate end, I think the idea could be reworked into something new? I haven’t see the “Penguin Spotlight” thing CPA were doing in a while.

These are projects we will focus on further developing after we restructure the department.

A small weekly news recap?

Weekly news recap is like the thing Lego did, which was cool, again it just takes an editor and a voiceover. We will work on that down the road.

Be quicker with videos, you guys take weeks even months to upload simple battles.

Sorry.

TOP TEN COMMITTEE

Answered by Top Ten Committee Heads Dino, Link3000 and Chief Executive Producer Edu14463

They do their own stuff making sure stuff is right like the calculations and making sure the stuff is right

you guys are doing great, cant complain much, sometimes there are mistakes but it eventually gets fixed.

“U could make some funny graphic to the names instead of text and introduce a 3-tiered trophy system:
Bronze trophy for top ten of the month
Silver trophy for top ten of the season (3 months)
Golden trophy for top ten of the year”

I believe this would be nice, but we have to check with our dear Head of Branding. TT Heads would also need to discuss introducing a new system of TT of the season. It’s possible, but not our priority right now.

My suggestion Is to announce TT 1h earlier

The past few TTs have been far earlier than before (around 8 AM – 10 AM EST), so I think this is rather unfair for us.

They do make some small things like misplace the order of armies in size

Mistakes are bound to happen eventually, but they are fixed quickly.

The top tens are usually quite late in the day, I’m also unsure on if the affiliated admins or top ten heads don’t do their armies or not.

Top Ten Committee Heads are not assigned to their own armies, as other TTC members can confirm. TT calculations are done solely by the Administration; affiliated Admins are not allowed to do calculations.

how are army scores calculated. maybe add a calculations thing fpr that

Calculations cannot be publicized, but size average should be easy to figure out lol.

Maybe it could suggest how the army fall or got up in the TT

I assume like bios? I think we mentioned it might be too much for us to revive bios, but maybe we can do a more general weekly summary at the bottom of the post instead of individual bios (similar to how TTOTY does, like 2-3 paragraphs recapping the year). I think this suggestion is a good one if that’s what they’re asking.

Yall do really good with ur job, ggs guys

Good work to the Top Ten Committee. However, I feel that errors should be made lesser.

Fair, but again this isn’t strictly our fault (we rely on the committee members mostly and also armies being honest). Not justifying the errors — we should prevent them from happening

good job no notes

Although it is a lot of work, I think bios should make a comeback. They were exceptional and really enhanced the Top Tens. Other than that I believe the work of the TTC to be phenomenal.

I love bios, but again this might be taxing. I think a recap at the end of each post, summarizing why each army moved the way they did, and all might be better for rn (based on that previous suggestion). We could also do a poll in CPA org, seeing if ppl would want bios back since I feel a lot of ppl didn’t even bother reading them towards the end. If we do revive bios, we could perhaps have committee members who can volunteer for bio writing, event recording, or both. Would incentivize more ppl to join the committee. Could even have reporters do that as extra credit for their departments, but we’d need to talk to the Editor-in-Chief about that

In big battles or events where there’s lockouts, I think it’s necessary to let armies count with the !size command. Armies can’t focus on gathering all lockouts into one room while an event is going on for a picture, most especially a battle. !size command would also show the army true size in battles of that magnitude.

No. Not the point of TT.

I’m slowly figuring out *why* scores are assigned, but as a troop/officer it would be helpful to have a little more explanation as to how different armies get different ranks. I understand it has a lot to do with the amount of events and the average attendance, but it would be nice to get more explanation from the source instead of just within our armies 🙂

I assume this is asking how we do our calculations? I don’t want us to leak the entire formula since it’s a trade secret. For past orgs, advisors who found out the formula / had access to the sheet would help their armies game it. I don’t want to encourage gaming by revealing how the entire formula works. Some of it is like straightforward, like size average being an average of each size (not counting curving AUSIA maxes), but like I wouldn’t want us to leak consistency. Every org does consistency differently, with some orgs changing their consistency annually or so. B1 made a great point about this in his Last Lecture post about how people have become corrupted by the TT and only care about gaming it rather than it being a calculated/statistical opinion column that shows the authentic state of the community in that given week.

For future reference, if an army is not registered don’t include them in the TT. Also please be careful with the deductions.

I assume the first half is in response to our inclusion of IW, which doesn’t matter since our TT isn’t strictly for registered participants of CPA org. Also, I would’ve liked to know what their objections to deductions were, since this criticism is really vague

reporting department

Answered by Editor-in-Chief Diwix

Do things faster

We hopefully plan to do so! We recognise the importance of timely reporting, and will actively work to streamline our processes to improve efficiency.

Get back to WOOOOOOOOORK congrats on picking the lamest course ( #bringbackflagfrenzy), also i want a unionized comic board 🙁

While the team currently operates under our standard reporting structure, we’re always open to feedback on how to improve collaboration.

They also work hard making news

Thank you for recognising the efforts of our reporting team. Their dedication is the backbone of CPA’s media team. We will try our best to ensure this hard work continues to be highlighted.

Core part of CPA, and love the amount of new/rotating columns. That Undercover Troop column was literally a dream I had, keep going with those columns. As for the sub-departments of Reporting, really love how those are done; I’d love to stop being pinged for literally everything the Reporters get pinged for though…

We are excited to hear that you are enjoying the columns. Regarding pings, our current system ensures all reporters receive immediate updates to maintain consistency and accountability. However, we can look into optimising which notifications warrant broader pings to minimise unnecessary disruptions.

There seems to be a lot of posts but it would be nice to see more breaking news live feeds and maybe in interviews stop asking like the same 10 people and try and ask different people in the community too.

We sincerely appreciate this thoughtful feedback. Diversifying our interview subjects is a priority for us, and we’ve recently taken steps to ensure a broader range of voices are featured in our coverage. Regarding live updates, we agree that real-time reporting adds value; however, the frequency of such posts is inherently tied to the volume of major unfolding events. Rest assured, we remain alert in monitoring community developments and will prioritise live coverage when warranted. Thank you for holding us to a high standard as we commit to continuous improvement

We dont need suggestions for this one. Reporting team is goated anyway

Yay thank you! The team strives for excellence, and comments like these motivate us to keep pushing forward. Thank you for the support!

Ong please be faster with editing posts sometimes it be taking way too long to get ur post edited

We completely understand the frustration with delays. Timely content is important to us too. At the same time, we want to also acknowledge that our editors are dedicated volunteers who balance this responsibility with their responsibilities in their armies and real-life commitments (especially during demanding periods like the current exam season). While we are actively streamlining our editing workflows to improve efficiency, we also ask for the community’s patience as our team manages these priorities. That said, we hear you, and we’re committed to finding the right balance between speed and quality moving forward.

The Reporting Department has been doing their duty well. However, I have witnessed reporting as slightly decaying over the last few months. Also, it always takes more than 24 hours to write a post. This could change, especially for posts that do not require its own graphics. Media in real-life take only 5 minutes to search and finish writing a post. Be faster, if not the fastest.

We appreciate this feedback about our reporting speed and will certainly take under advisement the suggestion that complex community coverage should be completed in five minutes. Perhaps our anonymous critic would care to demonstrate this remarkable efficiency by joining our reporting team. In all seriousness, while we’re working to churn out simpler posts, quality reporting requires time for research, verification, and thoughtful writing, especially from our reporters who volunteer to balance this responsibility with real life and their own armies. But we are committed to improving our efficiency without sacrificing standards.

do more fun posts!! good work

Fun opinion and satire posts are on our priority list, they keep the community engaged! We shall try our best to brainstorm more lighthearted and creative content alongside our regular reporting and columns. Thanks for the encouragement.

Variety of posts, the opinion column has lost its purpose

We appreciate the feedback about our opinion column. By design, this space exists to display diverse personal perspectives, whether lighthearted or serious, without editorial imposition on viewpoints. While we won’t dictate on what constitutes a “valid” opinion, we’re always open to suggestions on how to better structure/present these pieces to maximise their value to readers.

More content. Over the recent weeks, noticeably since Mare’s departure there has been a lack of the ‘one post a day’, now falling to ‘one post every two days’. It’s most likely nothing due to it being exams season for most folks and other irl issues but as a whole I think just more content, maybe be stricter with deadlines? I definitely got away with my fair share of late posts.

We completely understand the desire for more consistent content output. You’re absolutely right that Mare’s departure, coinciding with exam season, has created some understandable gaps in our posting frequency. What’s particularly commendable is your self-awareness about deadlines. That kind of accountability is exactly what helps us improve. While we can’t ignore that our team members are volunteers with real-world obligations (especially during exam periods), we are implementing clearer deadlines and better workload management to get back to our regular posting rhythm. We appreciate you caring enough about our content to hold us to high standards

To ensure there’s no running out of content, columns should be done weekly, and each day should be column unique. When you release 3 columns in one day, especially if the releases are each two hours apart, it doesn’t let the column post gain proper viewership and commenting. Also, giving them a specific day and maybe a specific author for each column gives it identity – people will wait for them to come out. Also, gotta know which columns to do weekly and which monthly. For example, such a good column like ‘Undercover Troop’ got so much bad fame because it was spammed, it got predictable and ideas got run out quickly. It fit a monthly release format better. For ‘Leaving a Legacy’, if the posts are released weekly, there will be content for months. If they’re released so soon, content and people to interview will run out quickly, extremely quickly. Also, facts should be double checked properly for each post. I’ve gone on to find some facts which aren’t true, because people either lied or it wasn’t investigated properly for some posts.

We sincerely appreciate this thoughtful framework for content scheduling. Your suggestion about weekly columns and unique daily features is particularly valuable as we navigate periods of reporter and editor inactivity. The reality of volunteer participation means we sometimes face unpredictable availability, which makes your proposed structure, with assigned authors and spaced-out releases, even more compelling. We’ll implement this more sustainable calendar while building in flexibility for when life inevitably interrupts our reporters’ schedules. Your insight into content pacing is exactly the kind of strategic thinking that helps us improve.

i love it and i love being apart of it (but i would love it if edu accepted my story)

We’re very glad you’re enjoying your involvement!

i havent been a reporter for a few years but things definitely look like theyre going well so keep up the great work and creating new things.

Thank you!

I’ve heard a lot about undercover troop and the entire idea sounds like it fosters a sense of mistrust among the community and may encourage others to try to “sneak” into other armies for one reason or another, knowing it’s possible. I read a few articles and they seemed very biased. Especially for the article about a “problem troop,” I saw several perfectly fine or even good responses (as a comm major and hr professional) that were scored low for being a “bad” response. This was for several armies so I’m not sure if the author just had a preference for one army or if they disliked several but it was not a well-set up experiment nor was it healthy endeavor. I don’t understand why cpa would want to intentionally sow discord and mistrust among their armies for the purpose of trying to cause trouble to evaluate the response of one or two people who might respond, especially when you don’t see the follow up within the servers or even have your reporter, who claims impartiality, have any oversight to actually create impartiality. All in all, I think it’s a very poor choice for a leader to choose something like this and hope what I’ve heard about this being discontinued is true. There are better ways to understand how armies function and train their leadership than seemingly trying to catch them in mistakes.

We are very sorry for how Undercover Troop progressively turned into a bad experience for armies and leaders. Initially, it was a fun concept, but over time, reporters started to make very questionable choices for themes (editors would not choose the themes of some Undercover Troops, they were up to the reporters to come up with mostly). We felt armies were growing uncomfortable with the column, and this is why we’ve decided to discontinue it. UT was meant to be fun with themes like “Bribery for Ranks”, “Troop multilogging”, etc. But sadly, it turned into an embarrassing experience for armies’ staff and, once more, we apologize for that. I’d like to reinforce that we care a lot about safety and how your troops feel, especially when it comes to something CPA offers as content. So I’d implore you to still place your trust in our org, regardless of these unfortunate episodes regarding this column. We’ll be more mindful in the future about what goes on our website. It did take us a while to notice that armies were discontent. So whenever you feel dissatisfied with anything we do, please do make sure to reach out asap so we can take fast and swift measures to resolve the situation. We didn’t act fast enough because we genuinely had no idea this was the case for most of you

-Edu14463

Very active department, best one imo

administration

Answered by Chief Executive Producer Edu14463

i hope that you change the way of seeding tournaments in the future. i hate seeing the #2 army going against the #10. it happened to me before where we faced rpf round one and it demotivated a lot of people, which is one of the hardest things for a SM leader to keep up with. In the future, i hope to see more underdogs that make it to the semi finals, i dont want all the battles to be M vs SM round one, and i dont want battles to be “preserved” for the semis/finals.
We seed tournaments in a very similar way to how irl tournaments are, placing the ‘strongest’ competitors in brackets in a way they don’t face each other in the initial rounds. This is determined by the Top Ten Armies of the Month ranking previous to the month the tournament is occurring. With more armies taking part in tournaments, this is not a problem, as the high-ranking armies (mostly Major) are on Quarter Finals (or in later stages of the tournament), and the low-ranking armies (mostly Small/Medium) are on Qualifiers. That way, S/Ms also have a chance to have fun in the tournament and advance to the next rounds, having fair battles. We are mindful of S/Ms wanting to shine in tournaments, and this is why CPA has been hosting tournaments featuring S/M and Major sections separately.
I honestly think CPA gets quite boring if not for wars or tournaments. There’s obviously more to CPA than that, but I have seen that most of the time very little troops are interested in events that aren’t battles. There should be a bigger source of motivation for armies to actually function, that has more to do with armies as a whole, though. As for the administration, I’d say it’s doing great, the admins are professional, but fun.
Thank you for your feedback! I don’t think this is inherently a league problem, because armies have always been about that: wars and tournaments. So if an army (I wouldn’t say an army, but a leader) is not interested in any of that, then they should reflect whether they are feeling satisfied with CPA as a whole or not, and how they are choosing to play this game. From my perspective, the source of motivation is precisely wanting to be the best army, ensuring dominance in the community, while managing to turn their army into a fun, healthy, and friendly space.
The departure of Mare spells a new era for CPA, but faith is upon the Administration to keep CPA running. I have heard personally, from many people, that they are hesitant in staying in the community, or at least being so active, if or when Mare leaves. There will be a huge expectation upon you two, but I believe that you guys can live to the bar set for you. Good luck!
I appreciate the wishes. While Mare’s departure certainly marks the end of an era, I want to assure you and everyone in the community that CPA is not only stable but thriving. The foundation built by past administrators has been strong, and we fully acknowledge the high standards set before us. That said, we’re determined to exceed these expectations. Our focus is on bringing fresh energy and new ideas to elevate this community to heights it has never seen before. The best is not behind us, it’s ahead.
Rules are changing in ways that never have happened. I understand the Army Board should have a say, but now it’s all about majoritarianism in the Army Board and alliances coming together. Perhaps, allow a wider range of armies or discover ways to make the Army Board more fair.

CPA is fundamentally built on the principle of having a structured Army Board. We strongly believe that armies should have a voice in voting on league and map-related rules. However, this does not mean that every decision is subject to a vote. Matters that pertain to the internal operations of the organization, such as war deliberations and departmental topics, remain under the sole discretion of the Administration. Our goal is to maintain rules that are both strict and stable, avoiding constant changes while ensuring fairness across the board. When a rule is perceived as unfair or in need of revision, we open it up for debate.

Columns like Undercover troop (particularly the ones that involve bringing troops into it) are against the spirit of the community even if they generate more clicks than other articles.
This was answered in the previous section.
I believe CPA to be in a relatively stable state at the moment, I would encourage the Administration to continue promoting the departments as to see new faces in them.
Thank you! Recently, we have hired BestPenguin as Head Moderator, Rye Bread as Head YouTuber, as well as Diwix as Editor-in-Chief. While I agree that having fresh new faces in departments rejuvenates them, we cannot hire new people just for the sake of wanting to have new people. Heads should have enough time to properly conduct their work there. If they are inactive or wish to retire, they will be replaced by carefully selected personnel.
Too many tournaments, also a lot of post topics seem irrelevant or not interesting at all, posts should encourage interaction and they don’t.
OG used to have the same quantity – or even more – tournaments than we do nowadays. For instance, in 2014, CPA saw 12 tournaments. In 2012 and 2015, 11. In 2016, 7 (the same amount as in 2023). I believe that what you’re trying to say is that armies seem more passionate about tournaments than wars nowadays. This is not the place for us to discuss this, nor do I believe this is a league-related problem. All relevant posts are covered by our team. However, interest is a subjective matter. Our reporting team will ensure it delivers more interactive posts, as already attempted by its new set of columns.
Its aight, I think tournaments outside the main historical ones like LC MM and CC could be more experimental with.
Noted. Multilogging Mayhem on May 2026. Lol jk, but we will surely try new tournament concepts!
I really like the community so far, although I’m relatively new!
This is very good to hear. I hope you have a great time here!

To the admins, I trust you guys and I love working with yall.

CPA administration, i have to say that you are… Beautiful

Actually listen to complaints, and not insult the armies

I believe this is referring to the capital draft incident, during which I told ACP and WV that it would be embarrasing for them to leave the map due to not being able to select their historical capitals. I myself have already apologized to said armies some weeks ago, as I can understand why they were frustrated. Luckily we managed to revert the situation and everything is now resolved between us. As I’ve told them in private: “I want to sincerely acknowledge that we, as an organization, have not been perfect. There have been missteps, delays, and moments where our actions may not have reflected the standards or fairness you deserve. For that, I am deeply sorry. It was never our intention to create frustration or to leave anyone feeling unheard. We value each and every one of you. Your armies are the lifeblood of this league, and your leaders are the people who hold it up. Without your commitment, passion, and energy, none of what we are trying to build would be possible in this community”. In our Administration communication with armies will be foundational and detrimental to the success of our league.

i want more war i am bored plsplspslpslsplspls

Use Coordinated Universal Time

EST has been the standard time zone for years in CPA. So we just keep using it as a tradition. Any chosen time zone would require conversion, especially GMT+0, which many are not used to. Regardless, for all tournaments and important events we always publish timings in different time zones. This reveals a beautiful aspect of our community: the diversity of nationalities that make this place unique.

Great community, great work

Appreciated!

Be more professional

We try our best to be professional in our statements and talks with armies, whether in private GCs or meetings. However, there is always room for improvement, so make sure to give us a heads up if you feel we lacked professionalism anytime. Don’t mind me sending random gifs, and stickers, or weird messages in main chat though.

We want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who took the time to share their feedback with us. Your thoughts, concerns, and suggestions are incredibly valuable and play a vital role in shaping the future of CPA. We are constantly working behind the scenes to improve every aspect of our league, and your input helps guide that process. Moving forward, our department heads will begin implementing some of the suggestions we have received, as we want to make CPA great again.

As always, our direct messages on Discord are always open to hear more feedback directly from community individuals. Do you have any questions for the administrators?
