THE ICEY ADVENTURE

The Ice Warriors was founded by Iceyfeet1234 on June 1st, 2007, making them one of the earliest established armies in the community. They were also the first army to adopt the “Warrior” acronym. In December 2007, the Dark Warriors, founded by Ambrosha, merged with the Ice Warriors, significantly increasing their size and strength. Over the years, the Ice Warriors have become one of the most iconic and indispensable armies in Club Penguin Armies history, with 44 former and current leaders at the helm, solidifying their place as true community icons.

The leadership shifts in the Ice Warriors are not enough to fill the accolades cabinet, as they have won multiple legendary tournaments during times of internal conflicts and struggle. In 2015, they won March Madness III against the Doritos of Club Penguin, which at the time was a big achievement. The Ice Warriors also won the 8th installment of the Legends Cup, which was the final Legends Cup tournament of the Old Club Penguin Era. Beyond the CPPS era, IW registered in the Club Penguin Online Army League in 2019. Later in their history, IW, along with the Rebel Penguin Federation and Dark Warriors, went on to form the polarizing Black Ice Alliance in 2020 to fight against the powerful Doritos in the DCP Coalition War, which took place from July 15 to July 18, 2020 where BIA had triumphed, marking an important clash in army history.

SUBSEQUENT Events

The Ice Warriors previous generation of leaders, including remarkable figures like Freedomist, DrQueen, and IceQueen, upheld their founding father’s legacy by reaching the finals of Christmas Chaos XI and making it to the semi-finals of Legends Cup XI. This success was driven by the exceptional leadership of the now Army Legend, Kally. Despite the Ice Warriors transitioning  from an army community to a gaming community in early 2023.

Ice Warriors’ Event Post

Although the influence of Ice Warriors Club Penguin persona has drastically weakened, they have continued to host events on other gaming platforms and have been able to maintain their activity consistently. Last year, the Ice Warriors had celebrated their 17th anniversary, reaching an excellent number of over 99 penguins online. The IW were performing amazingly better than other armies with just a single event. This year, they celebrated their 18th anniversary, reaching a maximum of 85+ penguins. Nonetheless, they are still able to pull off large number of troops in events.

The Ice Warriors’ 18th Anniversary Event

Club Penguin Armies reached out to the current Ice Warriors leader, Elaina, for an exclusive interview to learn more about the Ice Warriors and their accomplishments and plans for their future.

What are some of your most fond memories of the Ice Warriors?

My fondest memory would have to be the 17th anniversary event last year and hitting 100. We weren’t really aiming for 100 people to log on at all, we were aiming more so around 60 so it was really exciting for me. No other memory quite tops that moment because of how special it was.

Was this celebration event up to taste for you?

It was! The event was super fun and it was great to see some old faces come to celebrate with us too.

What do you wish to see the Ice Warriors accomplish before their 19th anniversary?

Honestly, like any other leader, I’d love to see the community thriving more than ever. More people, more events, more collaboration, and even stronger connections between our members. We’ve come a long way over these 18 years, but there’s still so much more we can build and achieve together in IW.

Do you believe the Ice Warriors could make a comeback in the near future, or do you continue to plan to go down the same route for a little longer?

We don’t plan on returning as a club penguin army anytime soon so we will most likely continue being a gaming / hangout community.

Do you have any words for the readers or for your Ice Warriors troops who may be reading this?

I just want to say thank you to anyone reading this who attended the anniversary on Saturday. It’s amazing that after everything IW has been through these past few years, so many people still continue to support us through it all.

Although many consider the Ice Warriors an inactive army, their community continues to thrive and grow beyond the army community, actively creating new memories that extend beyond their army identity. We wish the Ice Warriors the best in their future and hope to see more for them as they continue to grow. Do you think the Ice Warriors will continue to evolve and shape their future outside of the army community?
