Administrative Statement: Removal of Mare

A true administrator cannot afford to hesitate when integrity is at stake. There comes a moment when sentiment must be cast aside, when loyalty to a single individual must bow before loyalty to the league itself. And that moment has come. With a heavy heart but an iron will, we announce the removal of Mare from her position as Chief Executive Producer of Club Penguin Armies.

Edit: This was an April Fools joke, it is not real

Even though I joined the Administration only three months ago, Mare stood beside me and Coolguy as we built and shaped this league together. But no foundation can remain strong if cracks are allowed to spread unchecked. No administrator, no matter how trusted, stands above laws and principles. To ignore that truth is to invite chaos, and we will not let that happen. Not now, not ever.

For too long, the foundation of our Administration has been unstable, affected by unilateral decision-making without sufficient dialogue. Administration should be firm and decisive, but it should also be collaborative and accountable. When authority is exercised without transparency or input, it risks becoming detached from the very community it serves. That balance has been lost, and to ensure the long-term stability of this league, it must be restored.

In recent times, Mare has made key decisions without consultation from her co-Administrators, without open discussion, and without considering the perspectives of those most affected: the armies. The absence of inclusive administration has led to decisions that have weakened trust and disrupted cohesion among us. For the sake of safety and stability, I will not disclose the exact decisions and episodes that have occurred. Nonetheless, we have observed these concerns growing over time and have hoped for meaningful adjustments. When no such change occurred, we were left with no choice but to act.

The Nail In the Coffin

If flawed decisions and irrational autocracy were not enough, Coolguy and I have obtained a very upsetting and shameful screenshot from our Advisor Orange, who, alongside DMT, promptly acted to ensure the stability of CPA. In this screenshot, Mare appears to be orchestrating a coup d’ ètat against both of us in an attempt to feed her ego and establish her autocracy. She not only broke the trust of her Administration but also risked the safety and integrity of this very league with her actions: spreading lies about us to Advisors (and who knows to whom else), belittling her co-Administrators, and conspiring against us. After learning of her demise, Mare proceeded to remove our access from CPA GCs, and only failed to remove our access from the website and roles from the CPA server because Advisors and us were faster.

We want to take a moment to address these accusations directly and set the record straight. While it is true that we may not always be the most visibly active members of the Administration, to claim that we have done “absolutely nothing” is simply untrue. Our contributions, like those of many others, extend beyond what is seen in public channels. Administrating is not about constantly making noise — it is about ensuring that the league operates fairly, efficiently, and in the best interest of the community. Something that Mare regrettably failed to uphold many times.

Furthermore, the assertion that we do not care about the league is not only false but also insulting. Both of us have remained committed to our responsibilities. Unlike the individual making these claims, we do not seek to remove people based on frustration or impatience, we work to ensure that the Administration functions as a team, even when differences arise. And they MUST arise when unfairness is taking place and flawed decisions are being made. Accusations of inactivity should not be mistaken for a lack of contribution. There is a difference between making impulsive, unilateral decisions and taking the time to consider what is best for the league and armies as a whole.

It is disappointing to see such statements made in bad faith, and I encourage those who have concerns to address them directly and professionally rather than resorting to couping colleagues when things do not go their way. This league deserves an administration that values fairness, not one that fosters division through false narratives.

CONCLUSION

This decision is not made lightly, nor is it a reactionary measure. It is a necessary step to realign our Administration with the values of transparency, fairness, and collaboration. Effective administration must be responsive to the people it serves, and one that operates without accountability will inevitably lose the confidence of the community.

Thus, Coolguy and I hereby release Mare from her position of Chief Executive Producer. While we work on further structuring the administration, an Advisor will temporarily step up as CEP to assist us. This change marks a commitment to a better CPA — one that prioritizes open communication and structured decision-making and a team that values input and consensus. Most importantly, a team that values armies and their needs, and not self-indulgence. Mare has been an integral part of this league’s journey, a force in its growth, and a voice in the community. But no individual, regardless of their past contributions, stands above the principles that govern us. For the league to remain strong and for it to continue to thrive, decisive action was necessary.

Moving forward, we will ensure that all voices are heard, that decisions are made with clarity and cooperation, and that the league remains an environment of fairness and integrity.  This transition is not about division — it is about strengthening the foundation on which we stand. Club Penguin Armies will continue with its mission to provide unbiased media and league to the community, where any breach of trust and morals will not be tolerated.

March Madness X will proceed as planned. As always, thank you, Club Penguin Army Judges, for the continuous support.
