The Candy Crusher Brawl has officially concluded, as we witnessed a community-wide clash between armies all around. Several armies participated in the new Valentine’s-themed tournament, with each room consisting of different twists with different opponents. However, only one army in each category won this brawl.

This tournament consisted of many known armies, with the major side consisting of the Rebel Penguin Federation, Doritos, Army of Club Penguin, Help Force, and Aliens. On the Small/Medium side, we saw the Water Vikings, Elite Guardians, People’s Imperial Confederation, Scarlet Republic, Smart Penguins, and The Bastille Vanguard. Each of these armies gave it their all in this one-day tournament, and most importantly prepared for the set of challenges across each of the rooms. In the predictions for the Candy Crusher Brawl, most predicted that DCP or RPF would win in the Major side, with the Water Vikings conquering the S/M side. On Saturday, February 15, the battles took place and the results were revealed.
Major
Room A – 1: Army of Club Penguin vs Doritos
The Army of Club Penguin and Doritos both entered the Iceberg very quickly, The objective for this room was Candy Rush, where the judges called out random formations for the two armies to follow. Sizes were 38-35 in favor of DCP. Judges noted the called X formation for the two armies was neat, and DCP was more noticeable. The second formation was a Z, as both armies moved very slowly into it. Doritos were noticed bunching a lot, making ACP take the spotlight having the neater form. The third and last form was an upside-down T, which ACP moved first into, giving them an advantage. This made DCP switch the form to a triangle to avoid covering. Due to neither army having a large advantage, the room resulted in a tie. However, ACP won the objective of the room.
Battle Winner: Tie
Objective Winner: Army of Club Penguin

ACP and DCP rush to make the X formation first
Room B – 1: Rebel Penguin Federation vs Help Force vs Aliens
The objective was the Color Emote Rush, as judges would shout a color and armies would send an emote corresponding to it. Sizes were 25-18-14, with RPF in the lead and HF falling behind in size. The Rebels were seen dominating this room, with much cleaner formations and higher speed. They also had better reaction time than their opponents in this room. This prompted RPF to win the objective and be the battle winner for this room.

Room A – 2: Rebel Penguin Federation vs Help Force vs Aliens
This room followed a similar pattern to the previous clash between these armies. The second room showed RPF entering first, strongly followed by the Help Force and Aliens. The objective of this room was Bomb Relay, in which the judges called out different bombs at random for armies to follow. The first bomb of the room was a rake, and HF was first to move, followed by RPF, while Aliens did not partake. Sizes were 32-18-12 for the RPF, Aliens, and HF respectively. The second bomb was a Z wipe as the armies in the room followed a similar pattern to the first bomb. The Rebels were noticed to be faster and better in their formation choices giving them a big lead. The last bomb was a wipe, as RPF moved first securing the objective winner followed by HF, while Aliens did a rake.

The two armies were instantly put up against each other right after their confrontation in the first room. The objective for this room was the Echo Chamber, making armies follow what the judges say exactly. Sizes were 46-35 in favor of DCP. The first tactic was ‘WE LOVE SPOTTY’, and DCP was quicker in sending it. Both armies were at an equal level in the judges’ eyes, with the two having their ups and downs. Sizes at the end were 35-35. The Clovers were able to take the last tactic of the room and won the objective, and the battle was declared a tie once more.

Room A – 3: Rebel Penguin Federation vs Army of club penguin vs doritos vs Help Force vs Aliens
Arguably the tournament’s most chaotic and important battle, as all major armies participating entered this room. The objective for this room was Simon Says, giving judges the power to call any emote with all armies needing to use it. Throughout this room, it was really difficult to separate an army from another army as the room potentially reached its capacity. However, DCP, RPF, and ACP were evenly dominating this battle. In terms of the objective, RPF and DCP were faster in sending the emotes, however, RPF was able to win the most compared to the others. This room concluded in a three-way tie between the Doritos, Rebel Penguin Federation, and Army of Club Penguin due to their close size and performance.
Battle Winner: Tie
Objective Winner: Rebel Penguin Federation

Small/Medium
Room A – 1: Water Vikings vs Scarlet Republic
The objective for this room was Freeze Frame, with armies having to completely freeze when the Judges said so to avoid getting a strike. Throughout this room, the Water Vikings were able to dominate battle-wise. Sizes were about 30-6 for most of this battle. WV was much faster and neater in their formations, whilst also stopping quicker for the objective. This made them win the objective of the room and also win the battle.

Room B – 1: Elite Guardians VS pEOPLE’S IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION VS SMART PENGUINS VS THE BASTILLE VANGUARD
The Elite Guardians were the strongest army to enter this room, being able to cover the rest of the S/M armies with their size advantage. The objective of this room was the Surf Cart Showdown, having the army with the most points in Cart Surfer be the objective winner. Elite Guardians had a higher size advantage in this room, making the other armies struggle to be seen. Although PIC was noticed to be faster in terms of tactics in this room, it did not compensate for the size. The Elite Guardians were able to win the battle and the objective thanks to Lady Eden earning the most points.

Room A – 2: Elite Guardians vs People’s Imperial Confederation VS SMART PENGUINS VS THE BASTILLE VANGUARD
The four armies were set to brawl two times this tournament, following a similar pattern to the previous. The objective of this room was the Color Emote Rush, as judges would shout a color and armies would send an emote corresponding to it. Sizes were 18-8-8-4 to EGCP, PIC, TBV, and SP respectively. Elite Guardians were able to dominate the whole room and win the battle, while the rest took their best shot at winning the objective. PIC was noticed to be sending the most emotes called throughout the room, making them win the objective.

Room B – 2: Water Vikings vs Scarlet Republic
The two armies clashed against each other back to back, giving the Scarlet Republic a tough time earning points. This room went the same as their previous, with the Water Vikings dominating most of the battle. The objective was Freeze Frame, making the armies completely freeze when the judges announced it. The Vikings’ size helped them create neater and bigger formations, making them the battle winners. They were also better at Freeze Time in this room, giving them the objective winner.

Room A – 3: Water Vikings vs Elite Guardians VS THE BASTILLE VANGUARD
This room was arguably the closest between all the S/M battles, as the two favorites from the S/M side were put against each other. The objective of this room was Hydro Hopper Showdown, having the army with the most points be the objective winner. Sizes were 26-16-10 to WV, EGCP, and TBV. Water Vikings were noted to cover the most in this room, while EGCP struggled in fixing their formations. TBV could not compete with the two S/M giants making it a showdown between the two. The Water Vikings were decided to be the winner due to better formations and much more coverage. However, the Elite Guardians won the objective after their leader Lass earned the highest score in Hydro Hopper.

Room B – 3: pEOPLE’S IMPERIAL CONFEDERATION VS SMART PENGUINS vs Scarlet Republic
All three armies took their greatest shot at winning this room to solidify their position in the ranking. The objective of the room was Stop and Go, making judges stop and resume the battle if they send ‘!’ or ‘?’. Although all three armies did not max the greatest, the Confederates were able to make use of their size to make clean formations. Sizes were 8-5-4, with PIC in the lead. Due to PIC’s neater formations and the ability to follow the judges’ calls faster, they were the battle and objective winner.

Candy Crusher Brawl – Points Results
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Gabgeirl and Ryebread, leaders of the Rebel Penguin Federation and Water Vikings respectively, for a statement on their Candy Crusher Brawl victory.
Gabgeirl: It was a lot of fun to participate in! RPF didn’t do the Trick of Treat trials which it was based off of so we didn’t know what to expect entirely but there was a lot of enthusiasm about the idea in RPF itself. I’m really glad that everyone who came along and contributed to the chaos got to leave with the trophy. Thank you to the judges who dealt with the chaos of the final room too!
Ryebread: Water Vikings returned to CPA just this week. We only had a few days to prepare for the Brawl, but our amazing team worked hard to come together and bring in our first win of the year. I am beyond proud of this achievement, and we are very excited for what’s to come. Never doubt the size of our waves.
Evidently, the Rebel Penguin Federation’s leadership is looking to continue their tournament victory streak, setting their eyes on March Madness. Gabgeirl also spoke about the chaotic nature of the tournament, giving props to the judges for making it possible. The Water Vikings winning a tournament a week after reviving was clearly seen as a massive achievement by their leader. Ryebread hinted that the other armies should beware of their strength in the next tournament. Could the Water Vikings be the underdogs in March Madness?
With the Candy Crusher Brawl coming to an end, it has received a lot of positive feedback from the community, thanks to its creativity and unpredictability. With all being said, we congratulate the Rebel Penguin Federation and Water Vikings on acquiring yet another trophy. As we draw closer to March, the community is anticipating yet another incredible tournament. Can the two armies continue their momentum into March Madness? Will we see a massive upset in this tournament next month?
