Battle for Polar Bear: IV against AR

The war over the Polar Bear server on January 23, 2011, is still one of the most passionately disputed conflicts in Club Penguin Army history. Both the Ice Vikings and the Army Republic claimed victory, with both presenting opposing proof to back up their claims. The lack of neutral adjudication made the ultimate result confusing, creating ongoing community discussions. This conflict demonstrated the difficulty of identifying winners in a highly competitive and subjective setting, where both numbers and strategic positioning were crucial.

From IV’s standpoint, their win appeared obvious. According to reports from their location, troop numbers remained stable between 10 and 25 throughout the battle. This numerical advantage offered IV an advantage, allowing them to maintain a strong presence in strategic spots on the battlefield. Their published photographs showed IV soldiers recruiting in the town, engaging AR at the snow forts, and seizing the dock. These images demonstrated their tactical supremacy by displaying orderly formations and good coordination. IV’s leadership pointed to these visual recordings as clear evidence of their superiority, backing up their claims of overwhelming AR in direct engagements.

AR, on the other hand, produced a persuasive counter-narrative, claiming control of key battlefield regions. While their troop numbers peaked between 10 and 15, they highlighted their strategic strategy of occupying less contested but equally crucial zones. Photographs from AR’s website showed their presence in places including the Attic, Ninja Hideout, and Plaza. IV’s troops were noticeably absent from these photographs, raising concerns regarding the timing and coordination of each army’s movements. AR’s leadership framed this as a demonstration of their capacity to seize valuable territory without interference, presenting themselves as legitimate victors while being outnumbered.

ACP vs NW

The animosity between the Army of Club Penguin and the Night Warriors resurfaced, bringing back memories of their previous “Cold War.” ACP arranged a magnificent Klondike march, demonstrating their might with large crowds and disciplined formations, particularly in the Plaza. Photographs from the event demonstrated their supremacy, and a contentious manipulated image by ACP High Command member Flipper suggested their superiority against NW. This image, which depicted ACP symbolically outshining NW, was largely perceived as a controversial gesture. ACP’s display of might, combined with the underlying challenge in Flipper’s cut, heightened emotions and set the ground for a new fight.

In response, NW launched an invasion of Mittens to demonstrate their strength without directly facing ACP. They posted photographs of their troops occupying strategic areas such as the Snow Forts and the Night Club, emphasizing their tactical prowess and unity. Along with these visuals, NW made a subtle statement about ACP’s reliance on precise event planning, discreetly portraying themselves as more natural and spontaneous. While the comment did not directly name ACP, it was intended to harm their rival’s reputation. This exchange of strategic displays and veiled provocations marked the start of “Cold War 2,” a battle for influence and psychological warfare that threatened to redefine Club Penguin Armies’ competitive terrain in the coming weeks and months.

Tacos’ Collapse

On January 23, 2012, the Tacos, a top-five army, faced a major turning point when Nachos Moderator Billy Mays shut them down, citing disagreements over the army’s direction. Mays opposed the Tacos’ recent alliance with the Army of Club Penguin (ACP), a decision that led to his dissolving the army and transferring its servers to the Nachos. This unexpected move shocked many, especially considering the Tacos’ previous success, including strong performances like a turnout of 25 troops against the Light Troops.

Billy Mays’ actions angered the Tacos and put them in a difficult position. Although initially allied with the Nachos, tensions rose as the Tacos recruited top Nachos warriors, straining their relationship. This animosity reached its peak during the ACP-Nachos battle when the Nachos grew frustrated with the Tacos’ allegiance to the ACP. Despite this, leader Np3000 remained determined to rebuild the Tacos, vowing to keep their top-five rank and high attendance. Co-leaders Burrito and Mrgpv supported Np3000, confident in their ability to keep the army thriving without Billy Mays.

In an interview, Mrgpv criticized Mays, accusing him of dismantling the Tacos and handing their servers to the Nachos. Still, he expressed optimism about the Tacos’ future under their new leadership trio, emphasizing their unity and determination. Despite the challenges, the Tacos’ leadership and dedicated members gave hope that the army could rise again, signaling that their story was far from over. The Tacos now faced a crucial decision: rebuild and reclaim their place or fade into history.

LEGENDS INDUCTION RESULTS

The Legends induction process results were officially announced, with a 15-person council voting on the status of various members of the army community. Boomer20 garnered overwhelming approval, with 13 votes in favor and only one against, ensuring his entrance as a legend. Meanwhile, personalities such as Khimo and Wwebestfan were removed from the legends page, with votes indicating strong opposition to their continued existence. Trickster, on the other hand, narrowly kept his legend title, with eight votes in favor and six against. Several legends from previous years were confirmed or eliminated during the revotes, highlighting how community attitudes toward legacy and accomplishments can change over time.

Four recruits were elected to legendary status: Ioioluk, the Bluesockwa Brothers, Puckley, and SaW. Ioioluk’s election came down to a narrow margin, with only one vote separating him from elimination. Others, such as xiUnknown, Buritodaily, and Roberto, did not receive enough votes. Waterkid100 and Ganger90 were also not chosen, as the majority of the council voted against their appointment. The council’s decisions are final until the next vote, making these individuals the most current to join or keep their posts in the history of Club Penguin Armies.

FALL OF BLACK ALLIANCE

The Black Alliance was officially dissolved, following a series of withdrawals and internal disagreements. Special Weapons And Tactics, led by Spi and Reece, chose to pull out following Ioioluk’s failed surrender effort the night before. The Black Alliance, already weakened by the Dark Warriors and Ioioluk’s departures, battled to remain united. In a statement, SWAT stated that remaining in the coalition would lead to their demise, noting the White Alliance’s overwhelming influence and superior armies. SWAT’s departure dealt a huge blow to the Black Alliance, leaving only the Pirates as the remaining faction. However, they quickly followed suit and declared their withdrawal, effectively ending the Black Alliance’s brief existence.

Pirates sent a warning to the opposition, adding more fuel to the fire.

Waterkid, the pirates’ leader, acknowledged the dissolution in a separate statement, saying that his army would now focus on rebuilding and recruiting. He also proposed a peace deal with the White Alliance that would endure until February 1, 2013, indicating a shift in strategy for the Pirates. While the White Alliance had yet to react to the Pirates’ withdrawal or any potential peace talks, the Black Alliance’s collapse had left the war in limbo. With no armies remaining to represent the BA, the White Alliance found itself in a stronger position, while the war’s outcome remained uncertain.

WEBSITE DEFACEMENT OF GOLDEN TROOPS

On January 23, 2013, someone defaced the Golden Troops website, sparking suspicions and concerns within the army community. The defacement occurred between 11:00 and 12:30 EST, and although no one has proven guilty, the community has cast suspicion on Black Alliance members, particularly Waterkid. The Golden Troops leadership, especially Wenny123abc, responded quickly to the situation, with Wenny stating that Waterkid had alerted him of the defacement, which he considered odd. While he did not directly blame Waterkid, he did state that the Black Alliance, in general, appeared to be behind the attack. This is the first defacement of the year, highlighting the persistent issue of hacking inside the army community.

Hackers targeted the Golden Troops’ website.

Despite the loss, GT maintained optimism. Wenny123abc guaranteed that the army would concentrate on recovering the site rather than fighting in the continuing conflict. The Golden Troops’ outstanding leadership and dedicated men were viewed as critical factors in overcoming this obstacle. GT leaders intended to divide responsibility for site restoration and, in the event of future issues, to rely on backup sites. Wenny expressed optimism that the defacement would not tarnish the army’s reputation, stating that their tenacity and resolve would ensure they recovered. The defacement showed the continued risks of hacking in the army world, but GT saw it as a short-term setback that they were willing to overcome.

ECLIPSE OF MOON

Once a leading force in the S/M army community, the Moon Warriors announced their shutdown until the end of February 2015. Their founder, Apollo, chose after acknowledging that the army lacked the necessary resources to support itself. The Moon Warriors had internal issues even though they had previously had some success, such as placing seventh on Club Penguin Army Central’s weekly top ten and hosting an event that looked promising with a maximum of ten or more. Apollo stressed that the closure was the proper choice and stated that, despite the appearance of their events, the army was gradually fading. He would concentrate on guiding the Chaos army for the time being, urging followers of the Moon Warriors to accompany them until they returned.

Founded by Apollo and Nitro52 in January 2012, the Moon Warriors have a rich history and have achieved great success in the community. Despite difficulties during its fifth generation, the army has four generations, with the most recent resuscitation taking place in December 2014. Apollo stated that the Moon Warriors’ destiny is still up in the air, admitting that they might either succeed or fail when they return in late February. He added that he would be content with this generation as the last chapter if the army were to permanently close

Fire Warriors Blazing Return

Under the direction of a capable leadership group that included Jack, Revan, Dr. Matt, and Epic Master—all of whom brought significant expertise from larger armies—the Fire Warriors made a successful comeback to the CP army community. With an emphasis on recruiting and sustaining large unit formations, the Fire Warriors sought to reach new heights following internal conflicts and leadership changes in their previous generation. The army nevertheless had difficulties, especially in maintaining momentum and consolidating its leadership, even after making a triumphant comeback to the Club Penguin  Top Ten in a prior generation. The army had the support of many seasoned individuals, but it was still unclear if they could succeed where earlier generations had failed. If this leadership could lead the Fire Warriors to long-term success, only time would tell.

LEADERSHIP SWIFTS

Former Doritos Army leaders 13YearOldN00b, Lord Trader, and Greeny joined the Thugs army in January 2017, marking a dramatic change in leadership. They took this action after the Thugs Army, led by them, began to show noticeable progress, while the Doritos of Club Penguin became inactive. With up to 20 soldiers at events, the army saw growth in strength and employed sound tactics while conducting missions. As demonstrated by the army’s last event, where they attained 18 troops and carried out outstanding strategies, the accession of the three new leaders appeared to have an instant good influence. Thugs’ leader Mutee said he had faith in the new leadership’s capacity to lead the army to greater heights.

LATER CHANGES

The change in leadership sparked controversy, as Trader faced accusations that could have damaged his reputation. Mutee maintained his optimism in the face of these worries, thinking that Trader would help the army expand. The Thugs Army was ready to take on the challenges that lay ahead, knowing that the community was still dealing with bot problems. It would take time to determine if the new leadership would be able to elevate the Thugs Army or if they would falter under the combined influence of both internal and external factors.

The events from 2011 to 2017 highlighted crucial periods in the evolution of the Club Penguin army community, displaying the durability and adaptability of armies like the Moon Warriors, Fire Warriors, and Thugs Army. From the brief closure of the Moon Warriors and the uncertainty of their return to the blazing return of the Fire Warriors under fresh leadership, and the dramatic leadership transitions within the Thugs Army. As each army navigated its route, these years served as a tribute to the unpredictable nature of the community and the unwavering spirit of its leaders and members. What do you think of such events?
