Ever since its beginning in 2020, the Secret Service has seen multiple generations and successes. Now, the army can officially celebrate its 4-year journey as it continues to seek success. Let us dive into their anniversary event, and learn more about the Secret Service.
Secret Service’s history
On October 20, 2020, the Secret Service, created by TD999, officially opened its doors. Their opening event was held four days after the opening, obtaining a maximum of 12 troops. At the time, Toxic Storm and TD999 both led the army, claiming #1 in the Small/Medium army Top Ten in just a few weeks. Club Penguin Army Hub noted the army’s quick rise as “unprecedented” as they continued to grow.
Two months after the opening, TD999 announced Secret Service’s closure. He stated that leaders became busy, which led to his decision to shut down the army. However, this was not the end of the Service.
On July 3, 2021, they returned to the community with 19 troops attending the army’s re-opening event. Additionally, the army saw TD999, Toxic Storm return with Dman64w as the leaders of the new generation. During this generation, they formed several new alliances with the likes of Smart Penguins and Golden Troops. The army also faced Special Weapons And Tactics and Ice Warriors in the Legends Cup XI tournament, showing their strength. Unfortunately, after beating SWAT, the army could not get past the Warriors, ending their cup journey.
The army faced both success and hardships during its second generation but continued to make a name for itself within the community. Furthermore, they made it to the semi-finals of the Challenger’s Cup, before meeting their match in the People’s Imperial Confederation. Just over a month after its revival, the army announced its shutdown following the departure of TD999 and JoelFreak.
In 2022, the army revived, under Pandor and Kyle‘s leadership, for one of its most successful generations up until that point. The army fought in multiple wars and made history by obtaining major status for the first time. For the Service, the third time was the charm, allowing them to become a major player within the community and break into the top five of the Top Ten. By April, the army was maxing 30+, they reached the Quarter-Finals of March Madness and inducted AustinFraud as a leader. During his induction, they reached a record size, for the army, of 36 penguins.
Seemingly, all was going well for the army which was not afraid of its previous generations’ shutdowns and not intimidated by the larger armies in the community. They became a major player and continued to rise. However, in May the army suffered a defacement. Following this, a month later, Pandor resigned from its leadership and inducted Ugly. The army regained momentum after its defacement but soon faced issues with Ninjas and its former leader Pandor. Ultimately, accusations of Ninjas troop stealing from the Service led to the army’s closure in July.
Secret Service’s 4th Generation
Despite the previous shutdowns, they refused to give up. The Secret Service made the largest reopening in July 2024, introducing its fourth generation. They managed to obtain an outstanding 41 troops online. The army was revived under the leadership of TD999, JoelFreak, and Bscharbach2. Thus far, the fourth generation has seen tremendous success, winning The War of Vengeance against the Templars of Club Penguin, obtaining 1st place on the Top Ten and even maxing sizes of 64.
In recent weeks, the Service was involved in a war with the Rebel Penguin Federation before entering the Project Conquest: Blood Bowl. While this tournament took place their war was paused. Yesterday, after weeks of fighting, the Service withdrew from the tournament, taking second place. Additionally, on October 23, they surrendered their war with the Rebels, allowing them to start afresh after the tournament concluded.
On October 23, Joel released a post announcing the army’s fourth anniversary. He mentioned the army’s origins and success since returning, thanking everyone who had been a part of the four-year journey. Currently, the army is led by Aisha, JoelFreak, and Logical, all of whom have contributed to the army’s recent success. But what’s next for the Secret Service?
Club Penguin Armies contacted Aisha for an interview regarding SS’ fourth anniversary and recent performance.
Following the conclusion of Blood Bowl, do you plan to celebrate the army’s fourth anniversary?
Yes, we do!! We have our anniversary planned at a later date at -> Sunday, 3 November 2024 20:00 and all are welcome. Loads of intel credits for attendees, bring your gambling luck to SS, mashallah!
Did you, or the other leaders, expect the army to reach the heights it has thus far or has it exceeded your expectations?
This generation of SS has been open for only a few months and we have already achieved huge goals that we did not think we would achieve so soon.
For Blood Bowl, the army who came first are nearly 2 decades old and their power in the tournament because of that was evident and well deserved with their strategies. So, to answer your question the results of this tournament really exceeded our expectations.
None of us expected to get this far, but we stayed motivated and pushed through. After doing so well, the leaders promoted a lot of our Staff/HCOM who helped achieve this goal. I am very proud of how far our army has come in this tournament.
How do you see the Secret Service in the future?
Serving
What has your favorite moment in the Secret Service been thus far?
The creation of intel credits make ur way to our server to feed your gambling addiction. Mashallah brother
It seems as if their recent success in Blood Bowl, reaching second place, exceeded all of their expectations. Not only this but the army has achieved many huge goals within a short space of time. Undoubtedly, the fourth generation of the army will be one of their best yet but is there more to come from the Secret Service? What can we expect to see in the future?
