Following his service in the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin, Edu14463 has decided to step down from his leadership position. As one of their longest-serving leaders, he has announced the beginning of his new journey, joining the Water Vikings’ HCOM team.
Edu14463 is a current Army Legend, who has led his now-former army, the Elite Guardians to many great pinnacles of success. Edu was recruited into the Water Ninjas by Jayden1092 in 2015. He quickly climbed through the ranks, reaching the rank of Leader within the army. He went on to lead until his departure in 2016. Following his time in the Water Ninjas, Cooky2 approached Edu with an idea. His idea was to create a Portuguese colony for Nachos. Of course, this colony idea later became the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin.
Despite starting work on the colony, all plans were halted when Club Penguin shut down in 2017. Not everything stopped after its closure, however. Club Penguin Private Servers allowed Club Penguin players to continue to play the game. Therefore, it also allowed Edu and Cooky2 to later revive the project in October 2017. However, this time, EGCP was going to become its own army. Edu went on to lead the army for two years and three months, ending in January 2020.
After a successful run in the army community, the Guardians shut down on January 27, 2020. Yet, just last year (in 2023), Edu and the Guardians returned to the community. However, this time, the army was under the command of a new generation of leaders. Edu advised the army with no plans of leading until an incident occurred during the March Madness tournament earlier this year. The incident led to three EGCP leaders being banned from CPA Battleground for a set amount of time. This led Edu to step up and lead the army during times of uncertainty.
It was not until April 18 that Edu was officially reinducted as a leader of the army. This came after a brief hiatus was announced. Since becoming a leader, he helped the new generation to gain its first tournament trophy, the Around The World Cup. Furthermore, he led them to success in wars against the Templars and Water Vikings in May and June respectively.
Despite his accomplishments within the Guardians, Edu has officially resigned from his leadership position. Additionally, the Water Vikings announced Edu as the newest member of their High Command team on July 14. Edu enters the Vikings as a Second-in-Command. But what led to his departure from the Guardians and his arrival into the Vikings?
Club Penguin Armies reached out to Edu to get a better understanding of his retirement and move to his new army.
What made you decide to retire and move to the Water Vikings?
The circumstances that led to my return where very simple: I missed leading battles and wars. Most of my actions as a leader in EGCP were just leading some wars and few tournament battles. In terms of administration and other duties, I figured I didn’t add much to the leadership, realizing my co-leaders were doing an amazing job. Upon this realization I came to the conclusion that I wasn’t needed anymore, and that I’d rather help out an army that is in need – Water Vikings – than stay in my home army as a leader who does nothing. And I’m happy with that, meaning that my successors in EGCP are 100% capable of running the army without my presence. And that makes me proud of them. Now, it’s time for me to #MakeWVGreatAgain
What would you say was your peak experience leading the Elite Guardians?
Honestly, I belong to the army’s first generation. So my peak experience in EGCP dates back to 2018 and 2019, when we won several wars, tournaments, and even a world war. It was the peak of our influence in the community. But one of my favorite moments as a 2nd generation leader would be the ATWC tournament, for sure.
If any, what anticipations do you have for the Elite Guardians’ accomplishments in your absence?
To keep up with their good job in maintaining the army in high positions within the community. I know what these guys are capable of!
What goals do you seek to accomplish as WV HCOM?
Without a doubt, my first goal is to make WV major again. So give us four weeks and we will be back there soon. Besides, we need to rework on the army structure and I myself plan to introduce a few changes with the assistance of the leaders. WV is a powerful army full of potential and we will use the most of it to get the army on the right track once more
Are there any final comments you wish to leave to the Elite Guardians and the rest of the community?
Aaronstone42 is holding me hostage. I-I didn’t want to leave EGCP, I-I was forced to!!! Help me, help me!!!!
Undoubtedly, Edu is well prepared and determined for his upcoming service to the Water Vikings. The work he contributed to the Elite Guardians and the Club Penguin Portuguese community will leave a lasting legacy for years to come. Now, Edu looks forward to a new adventure within the Water Vikings. We, at Club Penguin Armies, wish Edu all the best in his future with the Vikings. With all that said, do you think Edu will escape the clutches of Aaronstone? Will Edu help the Vikings to become major once again? Will he go on to lead the army?
