The Around the World Cup tournament carries on as armies battle it out for a spot in the grand finals. The tournament has had its third round of battles take place during the NA time zone. Let us explore the results of these battles.

As we approach the finals of the Around the World Cup, many armies have given their all in the third qualifying round. The North American round took place around May 23 and 24. The winners of this round would then qualify for the Grand finals on June 1st. The first battle during the North American time zone was the Army of Club Penguin versus the Help Force. After that battle ended, the next armies against one another were the Special Weapons and Tactics against the Winged Hussars. The next day of the tournament, the armies battling against one another were the Elite Guardians versus the Water Vikings. The next pair put up to compete were the People’s Imperial Confederation faced the Dark Pirates.
Army of Club Penguin Versus Help Force
On the first day of the third round, both allies faced off with a similar max of 23 online. The first room was a tie, followed by the second room being in HF’s favor. Despite HF needing another win to qualify for the final round of the Around the World Cup, ACP was able to save itself from an elimination that led to overtime. Both armies entered the overtime round expecting to win the battle until ACP was able to gain the upper hand through cleaner formations, faster tactics, and better room coverage. ACP was able to take advantage of the fatigue shown by HF, which led the Clovers to emerge victorious in this close battle.

Special Weapons and Tactics Versus Winged Hussars
Both armies had similar sizes of 5 online for the most part and had to try and win the battle through speed and good forms. The WH ended up winning the first two rooms. Although the army was dropping sizes at certain times, SWAT failed to cover and outmaneuver their opponents. Although WH had the advantage of winning the first two rooms, both armies were able to secure a tie in the third room. These results have shown WH as the clear victor in this battle.

Elite Guardians Versus Water Vikings
The final battle of the North American round saw both the Guardians and Vikings battle it out for a chance to secure a spot in the final. The two competing armies had sizes of 30 online for EGCP and 22 online for WV. The first two rooms were concluded as a tie, but EGCP was able to capture the victory due to their size advantage and the way it was used to cover the opponent.
Winner – Elite Guardians
People’s Imperial Confederation Versus Dark Pirates
During the second battle of the day on May 24, PIC had 15 troops online. However, as for DP, the army did not show up to battle. Although DP did not show, PIC had to still continue performing tactics and forms in the first room, until being declared victorious and placed in the final round.
Winner – People’s Imperial Confederation
With the conclusion of the third round, we now move on to the final battles set to take place on Saturday, June 1st. These battles will feature the winners with the most points from both major and S/M armies. This Saturday, we will witness EGCP go head-to-head with ACP for the Major Around the World Cup trophy. Meanwhile, PIC will be battling it out with WH for the S/M Around the World trophy. Will you be tuning in to watch the Grand Finals? And which armies do you think will emerge victorious?
