The most expected January tournament is about to begin. With a bigger amount of active armies participating in this edition, New Year Bonanza promises to showcase intense confronts this weekend.
New Year Bonanza brings an innovative and exciting battle format. The tournament consists of multiple battles taking place simultaneously on the same server. That way, each army will encounter different ones across the rooms they join. However, they will not know who they will battle against until they join the room. Moreover, Major Armies will compete within their classification, as well as Small/Medium Armies. Therefore, two winners will rise from both divisions. More information can be found in the official announcement.
In the last iteration of the tournament, held on January 17th, 2022, by the Club Penguin Armies Headquarters, the army community saw eight armies participating in such a chaotic competition. After heated-up clashes and confronts, the Templars emerged as the victorious Major Army, and the Fire Warriors as the Small/Medium winner. This year, however, we are yet to see the two out of ten participating armies who will attain the first trophy of 2024.
Aiming to learn the community’s predictions, Club Penguin Armies reached out to some of its members.
Which Small/Medium (and/or Major) Army do you think will win?
ROOBOO, HF Leader: To be honest I’d say it’s either PIC or WH. Both armies are insanely good at the moment and will battle toughly for the win! I can’t decide but I’ll throw my votes for either one of both.
Lunita, Reporter: I personally have my faith in PIC, their staff, and leaders are all great and I believe that out of all the other Small/Medium armies, they have the best chance to win.
Feliks, Moderator: I’m willing to bet on either PIC or WH, of all the S/Ms they’re the ones with the most battle experience from the Christmas Crusade as well as their on-going war between one another. Furthermore, both are objectively the bigger and more solid options, we’ll just have to wait and see if PIC is actually gonna show this time, unlike during Christmas Chaos.
SavageCobra, Army Legend: I’d say PIC. In terms of current S/M armies, they have the most experienced leadership in modern army warfare, a larger vet pool generally, and just are the premier S/M army. However, I think SWAT and maybe even the Winged Hussars will fair quite well.
Mocha, Templars: Yea ofc I believe either Templars or Army of club penguin will win. Templars is huge in its own when it comes to tournaments if I remember they had a max of 45 during one of the latest tournaments. With our troops being determined, we are sure to win. The army of Club Penguin are also big on their own. They’re especially big when it comes to tournaments. Recently after AustinFraud retired from ACP, one of his wishes was to bring this tournament home to them. With that last request lest their troops very determined to win.
Jojo Teri, People’s Imperial Confederation: Even tho WV won the previous tourney I believe that new year bonanza will be contested between acp and egcp, both are large armies with many troops and much battle experience. EGCP probably has a few more chances now considering one of acp’s leaders recently retired which could have made acp a bit weaker, so i would expect EGCP to win.
Hidcre, Community Committee: girl i been touching grass idk whos gonna win but probably ACP if it came down to it
Snork, S/M Army Legend: its gotta be EGCP. I know that they’ve been working very hard lately, holding lots of events. I do not doubt that they’ve been preparing a lot for NYB, especially if they’ve retained their momentum from the recent war.
From the gathered predictions, we can already understand that the community is divided regarding a winner in both divisions. Either the People’s Imperial Confederation or the Winged Hussars are expected to win the S/M trophy. On the other hand, the old rivalry between the Army of Club Penguin and the Elite Guardians manifests itself in the Major division. Now, with the predictions already at hand, let us wait until tomorrow! Who do YOU think will take the win?
