Last Saturday saw the first battle held on a weekend for the Christmas Crusade. It resulted in an intense battle that left the Army of Club Penguin winning by a hair in a battle that will most likely go down as one of the best the war had to offer.
Recently, an alliance known as the United Army Front declared war on the Elite Guardians following accusations of misconduct. In the first week of the war, battles were riddled with no shows. Last week, as anticipation set in, the Guardians began their offensive attack. On January 6, the two met each other on the battlefield with a tied war score of six to six.
Inside Mine – Army of Club Penguin
As soon as the armies entered the first room, it was clear that this would be one of the largest battles of the war thus far. Initial sizes were 39 Guardians to 30 Clovers. Army of Club Penguin created an upside-down “T” formation that properly covered Elite Guardians with consistent tactics. As formation changes were happening fast, the two armies were spouting off big word bubbles. Clovers would move into a “X” formation whereas the Guardians stood strong in a “H.” However, judges noted that it was hard to see the Guardians in comparison to the Clovers who continued to bury their enemies.
In the end, despite having a ten penguin difference, the Army of Club Penguin were able to come out on top due to their ability to be more responsive in the battle with precision.
Cove – Tie
The second room saw the Clovers enter first, but the judges noted that both armies struggled to create a strong formation. At this point, the Elite Guardians still had the upper hand in sizes: 35 to 23. This room saw many creative formations made but to no success. The room felt messy to the judges who were unable to determine who had the upper hand during the heat of the battle. Army of Club Penguin saw a size boost in this room, reaching back up to 30 online. Towards the end of the time limit, the Clovers created a triangle while the Guardians formed not only a “V” but an upside-down “V.” It was noted at this time that the Clovers were finally making up ground.
Nonetheless, it was not enough to impress the judges who felt confused by this room’s lack of organization and speed. Since both armies experienced idle troops, the room was deemed a tie.
Dock – Army of Club Penguin
This last room would determine the battle’s victor. Both armies confidently bombed into the Dock with all their force. Army of Club Penguin created an “A” whereas the Elite Guardians went with a “U.” In the Dock, the gap in size was quickly diminishing as it became 33 Guardians to 29 Clovers. Moving first, the Clovers created another upside-down “T” was the Guardians attempted to create a “P” that did not impress the judges. Because of their creative attempt, Army of Club Penguin was able to cover the entirety of the bottom half of the room. Throughout the battle, the armies continued to exceed their limits by forming innovative formations that would put their enemy at a disadvantage.
Despite Elite Guardians getting points for more creativity, it was not enough. Ultimately, the Army of Club Penguin were deemed the room’s winners due to their consistently cleaner formations.
After a long, hard fought battle, it was the Army of Club Penguin, and subsequently the United Army Front, that added another tally to their war score. This brought the war score to seven to six. It appears that the United Army Front were able to show stronger organization with their formations and tactics, pushing them ahead of their competitors. This marked the first battle in the war fought on a weekend and it did not disappoint. Since then, the war has continued to ravage on, with potentially not end in sight. Do you think cleaner, repeated formations are more important than messy, creative formations?
