On Thursday, the Elite Guardians successfully invaded the People’s Imperial Confederation in their first invasion of the war. This marked the first full battle of the Christmas Crusade in 2024. Let us dive into the details of such intense confront.
On January 3rd, the Elite Guardians of Club Penguin scheduled an invasion for the first time in the Christmas Crusade war. The next day, the Guardians battled the People’s Imperial Confederation alongside their allies in an intense battle. The war score favored the United Front Alliance, which scored 5-0-3. This battle would either cement the alliance’s lead or help the Guardians catch up.
STADIUM – ELITE GUARDIANS
The Guardians were the first to enter the room, quickly forming an underlined V while PIC formed an upside-down T. The Guardians had a massive size advantage with 32 troops online compared to PIC’s 17 troops. The formations of both armies highlighted this size difference, so PIC quickly bombed and formed a plus. PIC’s troops were well spaced out, making the sizes of both armies look similar. The Guardians then attempted to bomb the room, but PIC held firm and did not let themselves be covered. The Guardians soon formed an X formation, with their troops spaced out evenly.
In the second half of the room, PIC moved into a T formation which countered the Guardians’ X. PIC’s troops were bunching a lot while in this formation, making it less effective than it could’ve been. At this point, the Guardians’ size dropped to 28, while PIC’s size rose to 18. EGCP and PIC proceeded to change formations, forming an L and V respectively. PIC had quite a few troops out of formation, resulting in a messy V. The Guardians decided to alter their formation a bit, curving their L into a U to spread out their troops more and to really showcase their size advantage. The end of the room saw EGCP bomb, with the final sizes being 31 for the Guardians and 17 for PIC. The Elite Guardians were victorious in this room due to their size advantage and neater formations.
ICEBERG – ELITE GUARDIANS
The second room saw the Elite Guardians enter first yet again. The Guardians maintained their size advantage with 31 troops online compared to PIC’s 18. The Guardians proceeded to form an H formation while PIC formed an upside-down Y. PIC managed to frequently cover EGCP, due to the Guardians having several gaps and uneven lines in their formation. Both armies then moved, with PIC forming an X and EGCP forming an anchor. The Guardians grew in size to 34 while PIC remained at 18. The judges noted that the Guardians’ anchor seemed to move, with the middle line having several gaps.
Both armies changed formations yet again, with the Guardians forming a U and PIC forming an upside-down pitchfork. EGCP continued to have a big size advantage with 33 troops compared to PIC’s 18. In the last few minutes, PIC moved into a V formation. PIC’s formation was evenly spread out, while EGCP had bunching on the left and gaps on the right. Although both armies experienced messy formations, EGCP managed to win the room as they were more creative and had a considerable size advantage.

Both armies entered room 3 at the same time. The Guardians got into an arrow formation while PIC formed a plus. EGCP once again had the size advantage, with 33 troops compared to PIC’s 17. PIC moved first and formed an upside-down V. EGCP moved shortly after, forming an I with a line in the middle. The Guardians rose in size to 35 while PIC stayed at 17. The judges noted that PIC had a greater variety of tactics during this time.
In the final minutes of the room, EGCP and PIC moved into a plus and an upside-down Y respectively. EGCP had several gaps in their formation while PIC’s formation was much cleaner in comparison. EGCP was the victor of this room due to their size advantage as well as their more creative formations. This makes EGCP the winner of this battle, bringing the war score to 5-4, still in favor of the United Front Alliance.
This marked the end of the first full battle of 2024 in the Christmas Crusade war. This battle saw both armies utilize underused and creative formations, which was praised by the judges. The battle emphasized the importance of creativity, whether it be in formation choice or tactic variety. Undoubtedly, the war will continue through 2024, with more battles to come. Which side do you think will win the war? What are some ways that armies can be more creative in battles?
I really wanna see how this ends out!
