July has officially wrapped with the Legends Cup XIII concluding, and it was a month of steep competition. Over the course of the month, one member on our staff team continued to impress the reporting heads.

Currently serving as a Lieutenant General in the Army of Club Penguin, Ugly joined armies in February 2020 through the Aliens. He’s most known for his leading stints in armies such as Fire Warriors, Secret Service and Tree Cult.
Ugly joined the Club Penguin Armies‘ media team in late June 2023. A few days starting, he immediately jumped into his first topic: Napalm Corps merging into People’s Imperial Confederation. It was a good start; from there, Ugly continued to take direction very well, always listening to even the harshest critique given by editors. One of his most well received posts was his coverage on the community’s reaction to the Qualifiers of Legends Cup XIII, earning him a near perfect score. Finally, his most recent post is the Semi Finals’ results.
Question of the Day
As a result of him diving head first into our team, and showing the willingness to continue to grow over the past month, we have awarded him with Reporter of the Month.
Why did you want to become a Reporter?
I wanted to improve myself more in writing and the English language in general, and it helped me a lot in my time being reporter in various [army] organizations.
What would you say has been your favorite part of the role?
Being able to bug people in direct messages with reason this time. In all seriousness, I think it is being able to interview people to give their thoughts and opinions, such as the community reactions posts in which I like the idea of.
What are some future goals you have?
Continue being a Reporter and gain more experience to get promoted in this role, as well as serving the community as a reporter further in the upcoming months hopefully.
