The Templars of Club Penguin declared war on the Water Vikings on November 3. Soon after, drama ensued as the Water Vikings questioned the legitimacy of the declaration.
On November 3, the Templars of Club Penguin declared war on the Water Vikings. The two armies have had a rivalry for quite some time, having gone head-to-head multiple times in the past, including the famous Golden Seas War. In their declaration post, the Templars’ leadership detailed their reasoning behind the sudden war.
Xing, leader, and creator of the Templars states multiple reasons behind the war. These include but are not limited to slandering the Templars’ name in their chat, revealing his real name in their chats, and trying to turn allies against each other. This declaration came as a shock to the Water Vikings, as the Templars reached out to Dino, a leader of the Water Vikings, about a possible alliance between the two armies less than a week before the declaration.
A few hours following the initial declaration, the Water Vikings claimed that the Templars’ war declaration was invalid due to the reuse of a previous post. They argued that it could not be a legitimate declaration, and redeclared war on their own terms, which the Crusaders accepted.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to the leaders of both armies, Xing and Dino for an interview regarding this war. Dino eventually went on to decline to answer any questions. If provided, it will be added to this post as well.
What made you declare the war considering a few days before, you wanted to extend the treaty with the Water Vikings?
Xing: “Well you see the map would be stale, anyway, we’re having fun playing the game we’re supposed to play, armies. That’s what we’re supposed to do.”
What do you want to achieve out of this war?
Xing: “Community activity, as with every war, we have to drag armies into wars just to make this community active.”
What steps are you taking to ensure your win?
Xing: “Not being stupid”
It appears that both armies are confident and ready to rumble. With the terms of the war changing, we can only wonder how this will turn out, and who will emerge as the victor. Who do you think is going to win?
