April Fool’s Day has been an important one for the entire Club Penguin community, ever since the original game times, when in-game parties were made for it. In this retrospective post, we will be looking into how armies celebrated April Fool’s.

Why is half of the announcement upside down
It seems that CPA went upside down with some names and channels to celebrate April Fools. They even posted an executive statement regarding Diamond Age.

To add it to CPAB, if you logged into the servers, you would have seen the rooms upside down. It seems that the developers had some fun too, but sadly, they got fired over it.

It seems that CPA and CPAB had a lot going on during April Fool’s Day. Maybe the armies did something? To see what the CPA community did on this year’s April Fools day, Club Penguin Armies went to interview leaders and HCOM about their April 1, 2026 day.
First stop army, Star Force!

Star Force showed some involvement in the April Fools’ Party. We set a server avatar that displayed like a faulty, persistent ping. Not only did this humorous change throw people into laughter, it also improved our server’s activity as people felt the urge to read a fictitious ping every time they glance at their server list. Moreover, we view-locked most parts of our Discord server to visitors to play a fake defacement. In this fake defacement, Jojo Teri contributed a little by playing as the defacer, who overthrows the Leadership and renames the server to JojoTeri Fighters. We didn’t do much, but we enjoyed the occasion. Later, we held a Club Penguin Journey event featuring Igloo Raids, where penguins wore April Fools Party 2026 transformations.

Hiii Ams! Sorry for bothering you, I’m doing an article for CPA about April Fools and we wanted to know: What did Aliens do for April Fools? ☺️
Hi Kath! We did multiple kind of things for April Fools ! We started by demoting all of our staff and hcom to trial, at the same time we brought back Sheriff into leadership! Later in the day, I announced a coup on BP and Sheriff, becoming the only fully in function staff member/leader, as our whole team was in trial. We also did the traditional changing the server profile picture, and putting a fake notification on it, which surprisingly fooled a few people. This year’s April Fools being so close with Easter, we also have an egg hunt around our server, that will ends in a few days, to keep the spirit a bit longer.

It seems that the Aliens had the biggest Coup d’État from their Queen Ams. Good luck, Aliens with your eggs hunt! Maybe some Dark Warriors had some fun on this fish day, let’s see.

Not a bother at all! I’d love to talk about this, since we had a pretty good April Fools! Our main event was a Pretzels of CP takeover hosted on CPAB! It was fun to dress up as a legendary army, especially with a few Pretzels legends in our leadership! But when we logged on, we were all upside down and confused! So we got pranked too! On the discord server, we had people impersonating others, (I impersonated Ambrosha), we made a fake announcement that Aliens Leader, Ams, had joined the DW leadership, and I think we even changed the name to Light Troops for a second 😭

Hey Kath! It’s alright. For April Fools we did nothing, no pranks because we believe that causes a lot of harm. On March 31st (around the same date), though, Roxy decided to merge with RPF because all the other leaders genuinely believed that there was nothing else for each army to achieve on its own. After we maxed 237 users together last Sunday, they wanted a taste of what it would be like if we worked together, so then, we merged, and I got leader of the new army while sipping a coconut at the beach. The Army of Club Penguin server itself rebranded to Army of Toontown Rewritten, to not throw that server into waste.
On Wednesday last week, a branch battle, which was the inauguration event, was held for the Rebel Army Penguin Federation of Club Penguin, but when it was time to log on we found out that Club Penguin Army Battleground was flipped AND reversed because of a developer’s mistake? I heard it gave everyone participating the biggest of headaches, so I hope that developer has 44 in return.
The branch battle I was told was very fun, first it started with what seemed like rogues yelling in-game telling people what to do, then all of the sudden everyone’s internet cut off and tactics weren’t being sent? I don’t know, since I’ve been on leave this past week everything sounded like a prank when I got the news. Then in the last room both sides hated the judge’s room choice so they just left somewhere else and dropped the battle to play some other ritual-like game. Sounds weird but I guess it happens! I hope the judge didn’t get too mad, but apparently she was meowing the entire time so I would’ve made her mad too. In the end, our beautiful new uniform was revealed. Everyone loved it!
Then, when everything seemed to go perfectly fine, rumors were starting to spread about Link and me getting couped. I guess it was because I was riding horses instead of attending. I think they wanted to coup Link because our new army wouldn’t be on the Top Ten? I don’t know bro, but something beautiful ended that day. They decided to unmerge on April 2nd and I never got to give the color hex code and emoji to that one yo-yo guy.
But yeah April Fools? No, ew, who celebrates that? Don’t play pranks on people, they’re harmful.

So after ACP “merged” into RPF, we thought it would be funny for us to rebrand as ACP and add yet another layer to the joke. It was basically the perfect level of stupid. Like, if they were going to do a fake merge joke, we figured the only logical response was to escalate the identity crisis.
Identity crisis? Is Romans the new ACP? According to this announcement, it sounds like it.
