In a dramatic turn of events, severe measures had to be taken in order to deal with an issue originating from the Dark Warriors. More will be explained in this post, with the situation being analysed and actions being taken to deal with it.

How it began

On January 30, the Dark Warriors released a post on their server. In that, they explain how Furritosis came to be and the ways it reached the army. Furritosis is a virus that turns people who get contaminated with it into furries.

According to the post, the pandemic began from Weekay, while she was on vacation in Indonesia. The post states that she drank water from a coconut, which had been contaminated by a monkey beforehand. The symptoms were not noticeable upon her return to DW, as she was already a furry before being infected.

The name of this disease came to be through Thalia. She was also the first patient of the server, showing symptoms as early as January 22. This caused DW to look further into the situation and look for a cure. The army issued a warning to the people, asking them to stay away from furries. At the same time, Pranav suggested that eating wild puffles helps deal with the virus.

In the post, it is also revealed that the virus was created by the evil mad scientist Midnight. He claims that the reasons behind this creation were him being bullied by the people of the army. He intended to take revenge on them by turning them into furries. His aim was to make other army leaders turn against the army. In a way, it worked as Club Penguin Armies itself is releasing this post.

The potential cure that was suggested did not work, and Pranav himself ended up being infected. This was followed by several other active people in the Dark Warriors being infected as well, in a domino effect. Due to both Pranav and Thalia being very active in several servers, including the CPA one as well, the virus has spread beyond their army. It has been noted that more and more people from the army community are turning into furries every day that passes. Many members of the Media department, where Pranav is the most active, have been observed having a meow cough. These include Mary, Phoenix, Samio, and Lucifer.

The virus is also infecting penguins through CPA: Battleground. Below, there can be seen a characteristic moment in which Thalia attempts to infect penguins who were logged on. It appears that the virus can spread through CPAB as well, so armies should be alerted upon coming across a furry there. There is still no confirmed cure for this virus, but the CPA doctors are working day and night in order to find one. The Furritosis vaccine should be released soon if the progress keeps up like that.

The virus has reached a point of no return, with about 30 meows recorded in the CPA mainchat ever since the DW post was released. Apryl, Lydia and Justin appear to be the most infected people, so there are fears arising of whether the virus has spread to the Water Vikings or Teutons as well.

Upon a quick search, the situation in WV is also concerning, with 164 meows since January 30. This number appears large, but it’s nowhere near the one in DW, which is 643 at the time of the post. It has reached a point where the whole server has become furry by now. Even a short exposure to the army can turn people into furries. It is probably too late to save them, as they have practically become the Furry Warriors at this point, so the vaccines will be distributed to WV first.

Actions taken

Upon examining the situation, Club Penguin Armies has decided to do the following: First of all, we will completely quarantine the Furry Warriors. This means all enlisted members of the army will be banned from the Discord server, and the army will be removed from March Madness XI and any near future community activities. The creator of the pandemic, Midnight, will be put in the new CPA Hall of Shame so that people can remember his devastating actions.

CPA will release a list including all infected people’s names. It will be given to army leaders and to CPAB, so that they can be banned, to minimise further spread of the virus. Additionally, CPA will increase the vaccine funding by 400% as it is vital that a confirmed cure is found. The first vaccines will be distributed to CPA Staff, as they originate from multiple armies, so it is easier for the virus to spread. Then, they will be given to army leaders, and slowly, we hope that the entire community will be vaccinated.

Upon vaccination, people will be given a certificate, so that it is known they are healthy. If they choose not to get vaccinated, they will have to take Furritosis rapid tests each week to prove they are not infected if they wish to remain in the community. Till the vaccine is finalised, we will be providing masks to armies and community members.

The situation seems to have gotten out of hand. The solution should be near, though, assuming the vaccines are made.
