Following the successful inauguration of Operation: WinterStorm, the community experienced an atmosphere of vitality, activity, competitive spirit, and excitement. The community was divided into four teams: Blue, Red, Green, and Black. This was done aiming to teach community members about the new Club Penguin Armies map functions and fully test its capabilities.

Operation: WinterStorm
Operation: Winterstorm is a strategic community event modeled after Project Conquest: Blood Bowl and Summer Blitz, to foster ongoing activity and engagement within teams. Concomitantly, the community was introduced to a new server map developed by Df44 and Dino, which served as an open community-wide beta test, inviting community members to gain a comprehensive understanding of the map’s functionality.

Meet the Leaders
The election process
Within the divided teams, each team is led by three individuals who were chosen through a poll. This approach provides an opportunity for everyone in the community to participate, with particular priority on selecting army leaders as nominees. This ensures that they are acquainted with the new map training in advance, as well as the economy system, prior to the full new map’s release.
Team blue
While some individuals were still unfamiliar with the significance of leadership, a select few possessed considerable experience in leading armies to victory. Team Blue is led by Mato, Lydia, and Raven, all of whom are seasoned leaders; Mato and Lydia are currently leaders in Water Vikings, while Raven leads the Kanye West Army of Club Penguin.
Team Red
The same applies to Team Red, which is currently being led by prominent community figures, including Zooy, Billy Bawb, and Fwapo. As a well-recognized personality and head of the Community Committee, Zooy makes his return in leading after a while, being a leader of Team Red. Billy Bawb also re-engages with the community as Team Red’s leader, and Fwapo is the third leader, having considerable experience in leading armies, like the Special Weapons and Tactics.
Team Green
The Green Team is led by Daniel20448, Roxy, and YellowTyper. All three individuals have established a long-standing commitment within the community and are leading the Green Team. Daniel20448 and Roxy are widely recognized as Army of Club Penguin leaders, contributing significantly to the Green Team through their extensive leadership experience. YellowTyper, known for his involvement in several S/M armies and as the creator of the renowned Fire Vikings Small Mediu, army, further strengthens the team’s leadership.
Team Black
While other armies are exploring the new map and territory, Black team experienced significant leadership changes, undergoing multiple adjustments. Initially it was led by Clade, Scars, and Justin before settling with Clade, Subzero, and Star after a chaotic two days. Subzero has much leadership experience, currently leading the Dark Warriors, while Clade possesses less, having led the SWAT. Star had no leadership experience prior to becoming a Black Team leader.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to leaders from all four teams to gain insights into their perspectives regarding this community event.
Q1. How would you say the members of your team have taken the initiatives of Operation WinterStorm?
Team blue
Lydia: They’re amazing and are funny and help a lot and I love blue team sooo much I want to have blue babies
Mato: The members of team blue have been AMAZING with everything and everyone seems to enjoy helping.
Raven: kanye
Team Green
Daniel: we’re all mike wazowski now
Roxy: My team has been absolutely amazing, although I have been going broke by giving our clovers and rebel cash. They are super funny, 10/10 would recommend and amazing co-leaders too! The event pics are BOMB and they’ve been super helpful by attending and couldn’t be more grateful.
YellowTyper: The members of my team have been super helpful. Every day, there’s this hype that comes from them and my co leaders and I am very glad of that. I really couldn’t have asked for better team members or co Leaders. GREEN TEAM OWN.
Team Red
Zooy: They’ve been absolutely enjoying it—we were a little demotivated at first, but with this momentum: our members feel absolutely unstoppable. Eventually Team Black will run out of land to invade so it’ll be a little harder, but I think that our morale can help us push through. Additionally, each member has been doing well to contribute, so shout out to them all! Special shout outs to William for Recording events and Pranav, Zez, and a few others for hyping and DM reminding, Krill too for VC leading. I’d say that we’re one of the most united teams, if not the most, and each member is willing to put in the effort
Fwapo: Our team is made up of experienced individuals who have spent a noticeable amount of time in the community and understand the basics of war. As leaders, we have made sure to provide them with the necessary information that has led us to victory. In addition to this, they have consistently proven their determination and REAL WORK throughout the battles we have done. Also our press releases are the best if someone disagrees i suggest retaking first grade.
Billy Bawb: They have taken it really good they have been doing good in battle from maxing 10-17 with amazing speed and form.
Team Black
Star: As a newly appointed co Leader I saw many members of the team step up during a challenging time. After the team went through several leadership changes and experienced a strong loss of motivation people didn’t give up though even motivating one of the Leaders to stay and carry on. They took initiative and supported one another and it made me very proud of our team
SubZero: Rather well, we are in high spirits to push harder than previously seen.
Clade: There have been ups and downs however everything seems to be much smoother now and the team are happy with the direction we are going in.
Q.2 How would you describe your utmost experience within this community event?
Team blue
Lydia: It’s so fun and engaging. I like the press release because I can spread my news around to everyone.
Mato: I’d say I’m pretty experienced with the fact I lead a major army so I’m no stranger to schedules, getting people to attend, and leading etc.
Raven: West
Team Green
Daniel: incredible, we sacrificed edu and df44 earlier
Roxy: This event is genuinely so fun because there aren’t much consequences even if you lose and it’s so fun attending and trolling around with judges
YellowTyper: Well, so far, it’s been fun and we’re gonna aim to keep it that way. Even though my team sees me as their leader along with Roxy and Daniel, we see everyone as the same rank in this community event. One day, the map is just gonna be green and you guys will be like, “WOAH” HAHAHAHA.
Team Red
Zooy: I wasn’t planning to lead again, so this was definitely a thrill. I absolutely do not have time to do this again, but hey since I’m doing it, I gotta see it all the way through. The new map changes make strategic planning pretty complex which is quite exciting. There are definitely a few balancing and QOL kinks to be worked out, but I enjoy seeing innovation within the community. Getting nuked is also a unique experience………
Fwapo: I’ve had a blast. I give it to the admins for this event and I encourage them to make more of it, iam positive this aligned everyone with the nostalgia we’ve all been craving and it truly reshaped my hopes in this community in terms of the future. I’am surely not alone with this. A lot of people feel the same way.
Billy Bawb: I would say my most experience in this community event is good. We are training people and having an amazing time.
Team Black
Star: When I First Joined Leadership it was chaotic to say the least but as I pushed forward and helped organise and motivate the team I saw how dedicated everyone was. Since joining this tournament I’m learning many things about what it takes to be a Leader in these times.
SubZero: Generally I feel as if I’m back in the summer blitz, in a spin off version, which I really enjoyed.
Clade: Joyful, stressful, unpredictable.. beneficial for all.
Q.3 Would you say that Operation WS is a success in elaborating the map to new members to the community?
Team blue
Lydia: It’s a success because it helps community members understand the map better so they can help their leaders of their army when armies get implemented on the map
Mato: Yes I’d say it’s a success because the adjacent invasions + boats and planes makes it feel more like an actual map. The whole system is just so much more intuitive and engaging.
Raven: army
Team Green
Daniel: Yes! it allows to test the features very well and makes the upcoming map very exciting
Roxy: Absolutely! Not only do we get to learn how the map works- it’s also fun seeing community members have the chance to take the reign and be involved with decision making stuff. It’s definitely been engaging and awesome.
YellowTyper: Hmm interesting question. Honestly, I’d mostly say yes. New members can get to see how invasions work and how the map works itself (outcluding the coins and stuff like that). If you’re new and plan on leading one day and want to invade the map, go for as much freelands as you can go for.
Team Red
Zooy: Definitely, although I am aware of some disagreement among members of the community due to some internal matters and the introduction of the mechanics, I think ultimately this event has done a great job at bringing the community together and is a nice soft-launch to the map. Having members interact regardless of army lines is something I’ve wanted to see for a while, so I’m fairly happy to be a part of this. New members that have been recruited to Red Team have also seemed to enjoy the map quite a bit, with the new graphical makeover likely playing a large role in that.
Fwapo: Yes, not only to the new members but to myself also. I confess that I lack a lot of knowledge towards this concept but this event really put me on the right track LOL.
Billy Bawb: Yes it is a success most people are having a lot of fun.
Team Black
Star: I do think it has been a success overall. Events like Operation WinterStorm it definitely helps make CP army maps more visible and easier to understand while also introducing them to the wider community
SubZero: It all depends on who you’re asking in all honesty, I would say yes, due to the amount of people participating.
Clade: To some yes, to others no, I can’t speak for all but I would say yes to it being a success.
Q.4 What would you like to say to the community/ other teams?
Team blue
Lydia: I hate you all and you’re nothing but a piece of gum on the sole of my shoe.
Mato: Goodluck! And fear the Blue !!
Raven: Of Club Penguin
Team Green
Daniel: If a lightbulb turns off, but the sun explodes while you’re drinking coffee, does the elephant tell you secrets too?
Roxy: I got hella money !!! Also if u havent picked a team yet be green be clean
YellowTyper: To the other teams: No matter who wins, I find this to be very fun and can’t wait until there is another community event like this. This can’t be more fun without you guys and I also find it very interesting of the team choices that members pick. This event lets us work with different people and we get to see others’ perspectives and yea. After this event, lets hope to not catch enemies but just keep this fun and chill. Goodluck to you all 💚
Team Red
Zooy: I think you’ve all seen #press-releases, but if you haven’t, come see some red propaganda! Red may not win (although it is a likely contender) and I’ll still be happy with the results of this tournament. I just also want all teams to know that any of my insults in the past days are good fun! We can all chill after this together, but until then.. prepare for WAR.
Fwapo: Do what’s best for the community, not for your team/army. If you truly want what’s best for CPA, you know what to do
Billy Bawb: Black u tried your best but u won’t get far. RED ON TOP
Team Black
Star: I want to thank the community and all the teams for their effort and dedication towards this event. Events like these work well when everyone contributes and it’s great to see this level of collaboration from the community.
SubZero: Best of luck, have fun!
Clade: Keep calm and fight it out and who know’s who may end up coming out on top.
Undoubtedly, the enthusiasm among all participants for Operation: WinterStorm has been exceptionally high. Given the success of this community event in introducing the new map, it certainly raises several questions. Will there be additional community events similar to Operation: WinterStorm? What implications will the new map have on how the armies operate?
