On January 10, the Scarlet Republic celebrated its first anniversary. In this post, we will look at the anniversary and the army’s commemoration of this occasion.

The Scarlet Republic was founded by Ghostt and Image, both former members of the Army of Club Penguin, on January 4, 2025. Upon opening, just a month later, they would engage in a battleless war with the Rebel Penguin Federation, which then ended in SR’s surrender. In March, the army saw advisory member Amira join their leadership, before beginning a longstanding alliance with the Elite Guardians. Additionally, SR allied with both the Aliens and the Penguins of Agartha.

The Scarlet Republic saw continued growth, reaching the Small/Medium finals of the Around the World Cup II tournament, though losing to the Templars. Their tournament run proved to be a significant testament to the army’s growth in such a short period.

September saw leader Amira step away from leadership following real-life commitments, as other leaders Ghostt and Image became busier as well. Following this, the army went on a period of hiatus beginning in October, with the army inducting longtime High-Command member Riri into leadership.

Ghostt announces Scarlet Republic’s hiatus

NEW DAWN FOR THE REPUBLIC

On December 9, Ghostt teased the army’s return to the community. The army held its revival event two days later, on December 11, officially resuming army activity. The army continued to grow, with Ghostt and Riri spearheading this new era for SR.

In January, the army ended various alliances, emphasizing the lack of animosity in these alliance endings, but instead wanted to have fewer alliances with more up-and-coming S/M forces. Among those were their brother alliances with the Elite Guardians, which coordinated with the army’s hiatus later that month, and the Penguins of Agartha. However, the army continued pushing. SR also faced conflict, as unexpectedly on January 19, the Army of Club Penguin issued a declaration of war following accusations of hostility from SR leadership. Alongside SR, the Aliens joined the conflict, and the Water Vikings joined the Clovers. Following three intense clashes, following controversy surrounding WV’s declaration post, both SR and Aliens surrendered, swiftly concluding the war. This marked SR’s first conflict with battles on the map, revealing possible new beginnings as the army transitions into new leagues following their surrender.

ANNIVERSARY

On January 10 2026, SR officially completed one year in the army. To honor this event, they held a ceremony on Club Penguin Army Battleground, maxing a total of 41 troops, visitors, and allies all joined to celebrate the army’s first year. Additionally, in a surprising announcement, SR reinducted the founder and legend Image back into leadership, marking a new start for the army as both founders have once more returned to reignite the scarlet beacon.

How do you feel about celebrating SR’s first anniversary?

Honestly it is a huge accomplishment for all of us to be able to push the community for a year straight. Never could have guessed we would have made it for this long when we were first starting the army.

How did you commemorate this event?

For our anniversary we did the usual event while inviting a lot of our friends whether they were SR Members, Staff, Veterans or even our allies and visitors. I also made a compilation using everyone’s favorite memories from 2025 so we could remember a lot of fun highlights from the past. So many good memories were mentioned.

Going into 2026, what can we expect to see from SR?

Going into 2026 you can expect to see us partaking in some wars but we also plan to do a lot of work internally to help prepare for the long run. But we have always just went with the flow and do what is best for our team so we will see what happens.

Going into the new year, it certainly seems that the Scarlet Republic is ushering in a new era. As SR faces new achievements and reaches new bounds, only time will tell what the army will set out to do next.
