The time has come for the community to meet their nominees for the 2025 Legends Inductions. As always, there is much to cover in the lead up to one of the most exciting events of the year.

Foreword from DMT
Those who recall the last time the Legends Committee publicly spoke- at the end of the 2024 Legends Induction cycle- I made several statements in my closing remarks about what lied next for the committee. In an effort of transparency, I want to disclose the status of those developments. Firstly, the committee did indeed host another Legends Town Hall in March. The discussion mainly revolved around reviewing what went well and what did not go well during the induction cycle. It was a bit uneventful compared to recent years. In fact, there were only two votes that took place. As a reminder, votes at Town Halls do not ensure that something will happen. They simply serve as data for the Committee Heads to see what the larger committee thinks.

As shown above, those present voted largely in favor of the return of the old community vote. For those unfamiliar, prior to 2023, Legends Inductions held a community vote on a list of nominees decided upon by the committee. The look of this varied throughout the years, with the most recent iteration of it being a set threshold that garnered nominees an extra yes vote if they hit it (typically 50% of votes) and an additional vote for the nominees that were in the top three of voting. This was changed for several reasons that are a bit too lengthy to discuss in an already drawn-out foreword. However, the community engagement on the Community Nominee system introduced in 2023 [and modified in 2024] was not as high as the committee desired. Thus, the decision was made to revert to a community vote, which frequently saw higher voter turnout.
The other vote pertained to the hosting of the 2025 Retrospective Legends Inductions. Those who wondered where this promised event was are not alone in their questioning. To keep it simple, the Committee Heads dropped the ball on this. We made a promise to host an induction cycle without knowing if we could commit time to it as a team. When the time came, there was simply not enough activity from the heads- including myself- to make it happen in a way that would do such an undertaking justice. For this, I sincerely apologize for the irresponsibility and lack of communication. While this is still one of our goals in the upcoming year, we will take a measured approach in releasing information about it.
This brings me to my final point- the Committee Heads. As the time drew near for the 2025 inductions, it became apparent to S/M Legend Manager Orange that he could no longer could make the necessary time commitments that being a Committee Head required. Because of this, Orange found it necessary to step down before the beginning of the process. Committee Head Iceyfeet1234 will fulfill the duties of the role for this induction cycle but is currently evaluating his future in the role. I want to thank Orange for his many years of dedication to the Legends title and congratulate him for doing the one thing no legend ever wants to do: move on. Rest assured that I will not be turning the Legends Committee into a dictatorship. I am actively seeking and evaluating individuals who are keen to step up and fill the mantle during this induction cycle.
Now, we can finally move on to the part that everyone cares about.
Introduction to Club Penguin Army Legends and the Legends Committee
What is a Club Penguin Army Legend? No, seriously, it is a valid question to ask! In fact, this is the sole purpose of the Legends Committee. The title of Club Penguin Army Legend is a coveted award that dates all the way back to 2010. There are two subdivisions of the title: Major Army Legend and Small/Medium Army Legend. Major Army Legends are typically from large armies or community-wide organizations. S/M Army Legends are typically from armies that did not reach the same highs as their counterparts, but still demonstrated excellence and relevance despite their lack of size. 15 years and 147 total inductees later, Army Legends far and wide gather around to discuss the events of the year and evaluate its key players and their impact on the community. Because of the subjective nature of the word “legend”, there is no exact definition of what makes an individual worthy of the title. But Army Legends are commonly influential figures that earned many achievements and awards while leaving a lasting impact on the community. And every year, the Legends Committee puts their best foot forward to honor the history of the title and represent the thoughts of the community by voting on individuals for the title. Since 2023, the Legends Committee is open to any and all legends who are interested in being apart of the conversation and do so in good faith, practicing positive behavior with their peers and the wider community. The Legends Committee for 2025 is as follows.

The Legends Committee also continues to work closely with the Club Penguin Army Wiki during the inductions cycle. CPA Wiki bureaucrat Dino is once again serving as the observer this year. His expertise in army history and statistics make him an invaluable part of the process.
The 2025 Legends Nominees
In the lead up to this post, the Legends Committee spent roughly a week hammering out a list of individuals who earned a nomination for the legends title this year. This is an important part of the process, as the committee intends to nominate individuals on the basis that they have a reasonable argument of earning the title. As previously stated, this is a hard thing to pin down. The nature of these inductions tends to focus on individuals who had a strong calendar year while also possessing prior successes in previous years. With that being said, the committee is proud to present this years nominees.
Major Nominations:
- Aisha – Doritos Of Club Penguin
- Bestpenguin – Aliens of Club Penguin
- Daniel20488 – Army Of Club Penguin
- Diwix – Help Force
- Gabigeirl – Rebel Penguin Federation
- Roxy – Army Of Club Penguin
- SavageCobra – Water Vikings
- Ugly – Void Troops
Small/Medium Nominations:
- Coolguy – Dark Warriors
- Djgtjvgyhxgy – Romans of Club Penguin
- Echo – Templars of Club Penguin
- Ghostt – Scarlet Republic
- Kyle104 – Dark Warriors
- Logical – Void Troops
- Moon – Templars of Club Penguin
- Thunder222 – Shadow Legionaries
Note on Void Troops’ Nominees:
Much of the debate over this nominee list was over what to do with both Ugly and Logical of the Void Troops. Their meteoric rise over the summer and subsequent cooldown in the fall- paired with their hyperactivity in the year’s events- posed a tricky problem for the committee. This was only compounded by the two individuals larger career resumes. Though the Legends Committee typically does not comment on its nominees in this fashion, we deemed it necessary to be transparent regarding how we came to this conclusion. Ultimately, a non-binding vote was held on both nominees to decide which nomination they should receive. This came after several lengthy discussions on the topic.
It was here where the committee highlighted Ugly’s tenure as leader of VT took place entirely in the window that the Void Troops were classified as a major army by Club Penguin Armies (June 15th-September 13th), with the army falling to S/M status on October 5th. Ugly was also viewed as a central figure of the larger community year, primarily for his involvement in The White Order. This was all following a year in 2024 that culminated in receiving CPA’s Person of The Year award for his leadership in the Army of Club Penguin. Thus, the committee majorly agreed on Ugly as a Major nominee.
Logical, though valued as one of the creators and the longer tenured leader of VT, was apart of the army’s fall from major standards in autumn. His time as a leader of VT was essentially the same on both sides of the army’s status, which led the committee to look back through his career. While he was an essential figure for the Doritos of Club Penguin in 2024, there was not enough in that tenure combined with the full context of his VT leadership to consider him as a major nominee. That being said, his involvement in Secret Service and Penguins of Madagascar in prior years and the full context of his VT leadership made him an S/M nominee.

Note: The only portion of the message that was edited was the inclusion of a hyphen between messages to act as a spacer between votes.
The Legends Committee is open to thoughts on this decision and encourages healthy debate regarding the topic. As always, your feedback is invaluable to this operation.
Community Vote
As previously stated, the Legends Committee is reinstating the Community Vote portion of the induction cycle. However, this iteration of the Community Vote will be simpler. Instead of a two-pronged approach, the Community Vote bonus will be a simple +1 to any nominee that crosses the threshold of 50.5% ‘yes’ votes. The top-three bonus vote was considered but ultimately removed because the threshold approach encourages voters to evaluate each nominee closer. This conclusion was drawn after looking at the historical data of the top three vote-getters and threshold crossers from 2020-2022, all of which can be viewed here on the Club Penguin Armies website. There were typically only three or four individuals that crossed the 50% threshold, which meant that most bonuses end up being a +2 rather than a +1, which felt redundant.
To participate in the Community Vote, click HERE to be redirected to the official Google Form. While a Google Mail address is required to submit a vote, the Committee Heads cannot see it. Nevertheless, we encourage everyone to practice good internet safety and use an account specifically dedicated to your Club Penguin affairs.
All nominees must receive either a yes or no vote for the form to be considered valid. Anyone found to have submitted multiple votes will have all of their votes discarded from the final tally. While armies and nominees are allowed to promote the form to their communities, they must not dictate to individuals how they must vote. This includes but is not limited to:
- Saying to vote yes for a certain nominee[s]
- Saying to vote no for a certain nominee[s]
- Creating a ‘sample ballot’ for individuals to follow
The Legends Committee can and will discard votes if voter manipulation is found.
Once you have submitted your vote, you MUST send a Direct Message on Discord to Committee Head DMT (username: DMT7) for your vote to be count. Failing to do so may result in YOUR VOTE BEING INVALIDATED.
What’s Next
The Community Vote is open until Wednesday, December 24th, at 11:59 PM EST. We encourage voters to take the time to research and get to know all of the nominees before voting. Both the Club Penguin Armies website and the Club Penguin Army Wiki are two solid resources to get started. But the best way to get informed is by discussing these nominees with people! We love to see people engage in healthy and friendly debate with their community. The Legends Committee will convene after the Christmas holiday and begin several rounds of discussions where each nominee gets a dedicated conversation. After these discussions, committee members will be given several days to submit their final votes on the nominees. The Legends Induction results are typically released during the first full week of January. So, until then, set your best foot forward during this time and help us continue the rich and storied tradition of Club Penguin Army Legends!
