Today is the tenth day of December, with only 15 days remaining till Christmas. This is the tenth edition of the special Christmas column, which includes historical information and daily community challenges.

INTRODUCTION
Just like the previous editions, this issue is divided into 4 sections, with the first one being the introduction. As mentioned in the Christmas 2025 @ CPA, the posts in this column will include the “This Day in History” of the day, as well as a daily challenge to the community. There will additionally be a fun fact at the end of the post.
THIS DAY IN HISTORY – DECEMBER 10
Day one of Holiday Smackdown
On December 10, 2010, the first battles of the Holiday Smackdown tournament took place. A total of 12 armies took part in this tournament, with them being split into four groups. The first battle of the day was the Army of Club Penguin vs. Dark Warriors, with ACP winning. Next, the Night Warriors challenged the Doritos of Club Penguin, where NW won. Afterwards, the Nachos fought the Army Republic, and the Nachos won. The last battle of the day was Team Gold vs. Ice Vikings, with IV winning.
The Water Vikings Return
In December 2013, the Water Vikings made a determined return to the community, resurrecting the once inactive army. Led by Aaronstone, Bepboy9, Dashing Snow, Kingfunks4, Tylund, and Zakdude, they immediately proved their comeback had potential by hitting 20+ at their first event. Having renewed graphics, organization, and veteran support, the Vikings aimed to restore their former strength and quickly re-established themselves as a force worth watching.
DAILY CHALLENGE – DECEMBER 10
Today’s challenge is: Earn 1000 points/ or 100 coins in a single round of Puffle Roundup.
You can use any CPPS.
You have 7 days to complete it. Make sure to message a screenshot of you completing it to one of the following people: Edu14463, Jojo Teri, Kazoo, Kiltanon, Tulip, Yeeter, Zooy. Completing any of the 24 Challenges will grant you the basic participation role. Additionally, successfully finishing at least 4 of this week’s challenges will grant you the competitor role. If you complete all 7 of this week’s challenges, though, you will receive the Challenge Master role. The highest tier reward will be given to the people who complete all 24 challenges. They will be allowed to add a preferred emoji to the server, as long as it adheres to the server rules.
Fun Fact
As of December 9, 2025, the community has sent over 2.8 million messages in the Club Penguin Armies‘ Discord main chat throughout its existence. Most messages in a single year were sent in 2024, where people sent 954 thousand messages. A close second place is in 2025, with 910 thousand messages sent so far. However, with the end of the year still three weeks away, we have yet to see whether this year’s message count will overtake last year’s.
