A new day in this week has just started, with 16 days remaining until Christmas. This is the ninth edition of the special Christmas column, which includes historical information and daily challenges to the community.

INTRODUCTION
Like the previous ones, this issue is divided into 4 sections, with the first one being the introduction. As mentioned in the Christmas 2025 @ CPA, the posts of this column will include the “This Day in History” of the day, as well as the daily challenge to the community. There will also be a fun fact in the end of the post.
This day in history – december 9
Issues Within ACP
On December 9, 2014, Djkb1, an Army of Club Penguin second in command retired from the army, sharing his dissatisfaction with the leadership. This happened amidst the ACP war with the Light Troops, an intense war with daily invasions. In it, ACP had no trouble winning the AUSIA battles but had had issues with their 2 other divisions. In his post, Djkb1 called the ACP leadership incapable of leading the army. He claimed that it didn’t work as it should have, being the core of the army, to the point that he could not recognise the army. From an interview with a troop, it seems like there was some unrest within the army, between a small number of members. The troop attributed that to the number of lost battles of the war.
Golden Troops Return
In December 2012, the Golden Troops, once one of the strongest armies of summer 2011, made a dramatic return after a long period of instability and constant collapse marked by leadership problems and falling sizes. The total collapse happened after a series of incompetent leaders, who pushed the members of the army away, along with several controversies surrounding it. It eventually shut down in Spring 2012. After months of inactivity, the army announced a revival, bringing back notable former leaders such as Riotors, Jerry, Beast, and Lord Pain. With old veterans returning and a renewed leadership team, GT hoped to restore the power and reputation it had lost.

If you complete all 7 of this week’s challenges, though, you will receive the Challenge Master role. The highest tier reward will be given to the people who complete all 24 challenges. They will be allowed to add a preferred emoji to the server, as long as it adheres to the server rules.
Fun Fact
This year, Club Penguin Journey added a brand-new board-game–style feature called Journeyscape, where players can spin a wheel to move across a “board”, earn Game Points, and trade those points for rare and custom items from mascots.
