Prior affiliations

Justin, originally known as Kyle104, is a controversial and enduring figure in the army community. He began his journey in 2012, when he enlisted in the Special Weapons and Tactics under the leadership of Ganger90. Over the years, Justin has held several notable roles in important armies. He is most well remembered for his stint as a leader in the Dark Warriors during 2015, but has also served as a member of several armies’ High Commands. Some armies he has held ranks in include the Smart Penguins, the Rebel Penguin Federation, and the Ice Warriors.

Arguably, his most successful venture was his leadership of the Templars. It was where he would go on to meet individuals such as Xing and Brownpen4, who shaped his leadership style and refined his identity. Justin would also be a close associate of the infamous army figure Venom, and a prior accomplice of Security. This is where Justin would gain his reputation and notoriety, as he defaced armies such as the Doritos and TCP.

Relative timeline

Justin’s interaction with the community has been on and off over the past few years. Following the coup of Elmikey from RPF, Justin would make his first departure from the community, but returned at the behest of Xing. From here, Justin stayed in Templars until March 2021, at which point he would again retire, briefly returning in 2022 as a member of SWAT.

It would be in 2024 when Justin made his true return to the army. Joining the Rebel Alliance Commando initially, fighting against the Phantom Republic in the War of Spectral Siege. Following the closure of RAC, Justin would remain in the community before going on to found the Void Troops. After some controversy, Justin would go on to leave the army, as well as deface it. Once he had departed VT, he returned once more to the Templars, but did not stay for long.

Remaining unaffiliated for quite some time, Justin would proceed to be instrumental in the return of the Dark Warriors. Although not initially a leader, it would not take long for him to come back as a Commander. Justin would prove to be a pivotal member of the leadership, greatly influencing many of their recent victories, such as in the October Horrors and Summer Blitz tournaments. Thus, it came as a shock to many when Justin suddenly departed DW.

Justin leaving the Dark Warriors’ Discord

Following his departure, DW’s leadership would release a statement discussing their recent conflict with the Templars. In this post, the leaders would confirm that many troops and staff were displeased with said war, leading to an official treaty between the two parties. In addition to this information, the leadership confirmed that Justin had not been couped and had instead left on his own accord.

Club Penguin Armies contacted Justin to conduct an interview to learn more about his retirement.

What really made you leave Dark Warriors?

What really made me retire from Dark Warriors was the lack of a strong, healthy mentality within the army. When you’re leading alongside four others, you’d expect at least one of them to have the mindset needed to guide the army properly. Despite my efforts, I grew tired of the others making every decision based on how they thought people would perceive them and the army.

When WV wasn’t willing to give us land, one of the leaders suggested we should build up just to go to war with them. And when things didn’t go their way with VT, they started claiming that Ant was manipulating us, didn’t want him in advisory, and ended the TCP war because of it. On top of all that, I also found out that one of their leaders was possibly planning to coup me so I left. I am getting too old for this anyways.

Is this a permanent retirement or temporary?

This is a permanent retirement, considering I left every single discord CPA related besides my own army, Void Troops.

Are you looking forward to joining another army, or will you stay retired?

I am looking to stay as far away from this community as i can. My time ends here.

What is the best memory you had in Dark Warriors?

My favorite memory from now is probably winning October horrors, from back then witnessing our victory from 2014s Christmas Chaos.

Do you want to add anything else?

Farewell Friends.

Evidently, Justin’s departure from the community will have a lasting effect on the community. His deep involvement with the Small/Medium scene was clear to all, and his dedication was second to none. But what do you think? Could we see Justin return once more? Who will assume his position of DW leader?
