Top 5 Moments Of October 2025

The year’s spookiest season wrapped up, so we now recap the top five moments that left a mark on it. With a brand-new tournament, changes in the league and community, and a fair share of controversy, October was certainly remarkable.

Like how it is done every month, the Club Penguin Armies staff team came together and hosted an internal vote for what we believed to be the “Top Five Moments” of October 2025. This time, we saw an astonishing number of moments to be voted on – a total of 30. Without further ado, let us dive into the top five moments.

5. Rye Bread Removed From Water Vikings Leadership

Written by: Lucifer

On October 6, Rye Bread was removed from her role as Viking Commander of the Water Vikings in an immediate decision by the High Council. More than a year of service since her induction in June 2024, she had guided the Vikings through multiple major milestones, beginning from Beach Brawl IV to a sucessful run in Legends Cup XV while also claiming a WV return to Major army status. Despite her numerous contributions as commander and her unending dedication, her departure had been associated to the scandal regarding Trails and the way she handled it, leading not only to her removal but also to her being banned from the army.

4. Club Penguin Armies Census 2025: Administration Shares Results

Written by: KiItanon

In August of 2025, the Golden Age of CPA continued, with the Administration announcing the return of the CPA Census. After not being seen since 2023, this form was completed by 310 individuals, with 245-290 people responding to questions in the optional segment. The results of the Census showed that the majority of people joined Club Penguin from 2009-2012, but the majority joined Armies in 2025. Other notable statistics included the Rebel Penguin Federation being the most popular first army, however, the most common affiliation, at 14.8% was no affiliation!

22.3% of participants believed the community was thriving, and only 2.3% thought the community was unstable and unable to survive. The most popular age group was 26+, with 10.9% of participants being this age or higher. 54% of respondents were male, and 37% female. We also saw that the most common religion was Christianity, at just under 45%. By reviewing the army census, we can see that the community is in a thriving state, with a strong membership. Who knows what the next census will hold?

3. Mapping the Map: Administration Delivers New Map Rules

Following the conclusion of the long-awaited Mapping the Map Summit, which began in the summer, Club Penguin Armies introduced new, revolutionary rules aimed at changing the map’s rules and making warfare more exciting for armies. On October 15, the administration officially implemented these rules with a comprehensive overhaul of previous map rules. Alongside the announcement of the new map rules, an announcement of a new interactive map spearheaded by CPA’s developer team was made, marking a new era for not only the community but modern warfare.

2. PIC Moments: Sweater Retires, Alliance With VT, and 6th Anniversary

Written by: Diwix

The People’s Imperial Confederation have recently witnessed a range of events with both heartfelt farewells and promised new beginnings. Firstly with the silent retirement of Sweater, a familiar cycle for the PIC legend, the Confederation had to bid farewell following his return on the 30th of August. PIC had formed an alliance with the Void Troops on October 5, celebrating their 6th anniversary later in the month on the 17th. Towards the end of the month, former leader and legend Alucard returned to the army leadership, marking a new surge of energy for the army.

1. People’s Imperial Confederation Declares War on Water Vikings

Written by: KiItanon

On September 29, an off-map war began between the People’s Imperial Confederation and the Water Vikings. Although not the first time the armies have faced off, it was certainly unusual, with the much smaller PIC declaring on the Vikings, breaking the status quo. Although intended to last much longer, due to unfortunate circumstances and the removal of Rye Bread from the WV leadership, the war was ceased with a final score of [3-0-0] in favour of the Vikings.
