Recently, the Arctic Vikings, one of the most unknown Small/Medium armies, returned to the community before closing down again. Let us investigate the recent happenings leading to this unfortunate decline.

The ancient Arctic
The Arctic Vikings were founded by Kidboy12edit on August 15, registering with the Small Medium Army League. At their opening event, they saw a max of 3, which would be a relatively consistent size for the army. Kidboy is a new face to the army scene, joining earlier this year as a member of the Fire Vikings. Since then, he has founded not only the AV but also the Witches.
A relatively unassuming army, the Arctic Vikings frequently featured on the lower end of the Top Ten. This led to their closure at the start of October. From here, the army lay dormant, but not for long.

Up and Down Again
On November 8, the Vikings hosted their revival event, achieving a max of 2. Again, under the command of Kidboy, with new faces Katsura and Shakira stepping in to help the army. During their short lifespan, AV established multiple alliances with armies such as the wii phone and Elite Guardians.
On the same day as their revival, founder Kidboy announced his departure from the army. Four days later, he would also announce the army’s closure, due to all other leaders retiring. This generation saw only one event following their opening, a Freeland invasion which was subsequently cancelled.

In an attempt to find out more about the Arctic Vikings’ return and sudden closure, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Kidboy12edit. Unfortunately, he has not replied yet.
The future of the AV may be uncertain, but we are sure their leaders will go on to do extraordinary things. Who knows what the future holds for the army? Do you think we could see another return soon? Will Kidboy or Katsura found another army?
