In the lead up to Halloween, during this spooky time of year, people tend to gather and celebrate, and that is no different in our community. Today, we will be investigating what certain armies are doing to prepare for the upcoming holiday.

Introduction
Last year, we asked the community what they were planning for Halloween, and this year is no different. In what ways will last year’s events and this year’s activities differ? When comparing last year’s Project Conquest: Blood Bowl to the recent October Horrors, we see that although in a different format, the community is still highly engaged. Once more, we at Club Penguin Armies were curious to answer the question: What are armies doing for Halloween?
Army Activities
Kicking off our interviews we have Roxy, from the Army of Club Penguin. Roxy pointed out to us that ACP are hosting a myriad of events, noting their army’s love for the spooky season. Furthermore, Roxy noted that their week would be culminating with a practice battle against their brother allies, the Help Force. Certainly an action-packed week.
We are thrilled about the spooky season and have a full week of themed events planned out! We kicked things off with a Ghost themed event, and we aim to touch on as many different Halloween themes as we can before the end of the month. To ensure our troops enjoy the season to the max, all of our mini-games are Halloween related too.
The week will conclude with our most exciting event: a spooky Practice Battle, with a little twist against our brother allies, The Help Force! It’s going to be a fun way to wrap up the Halloween week and I look forward to the intense battle! 👀

As for the Elite Guardians, we contacted their leader, Lana, to find out what they got up to. Despite not taking part in the October Horrors tournament, Lana assured us that EGCP were being very active over the season. She also noted that the army had multiple themed events, named after historical characters and creatures linked to the time of year, such as Operation: Frankenstein and Operation: Vampire.
Although we are not participating in the tournament, we are organizing some fun events:)
this week we will do the Operation: Skeleton and a costume contest

Moving swiftly on, we spoke to Scars of the People’s Imperial Confederation, to find out their plans. Following a highly respectable run in the October Horrors tournament, PIC decided to have a laid back week, allowing troops to celebrate with their families. Scars noted that the Confederation’s Discord had been temporarily revamped to a suitable spooky theme.
Although PIC doesn’t have any events lined up for Halloween, we recently participated in the October Horrors tournament, in which we placed second in the Small/Medium division. We also have had a number of events this week, including our Tournament Tuesday, as well as some Freeland Invasions, maintaining our activity over this busy period. Finally, we topped it all off with the cherry on top being a temporary rebrand to our server to fit the spooky theme.

Next up, we talked to Escot, Commander of the Water Vikings. Whilst speaking to Escot, we uncovered that the Vikings will be hosting many fun events such as movie nights, as well as their standard Club Penguin events. WV also took part in the excellent three-way Grand Finals of the October Horrors.
For Halloween, WV has had some fun games and stuff around the server. Movienights especially, we’ve changed the theme and role names to Halloween stuff as well. We also had some themed takeovers as well that were pretty cool.

Moving on to the reining October Horrors S/M champions, we have the Dark Warriors. We reached out to Justin, one of DW’s leaders, who told us the army would not be hosting any spooky events; rather the army would be enjoying their victory. Justin also noted the Warriors are preparing for the upcoming Christmas Chaos tournament, following their recent anniversary.
We aren’t doing anything for halloween
We already won the halloween tournament and celebrated our anniversary, now we’re grinding for christmas chaos

Next, we talked to Fun X Time of the Star Force. He noted that to them, Halloween was a very special time of year. With a themed discord and an innovative grams system, they are clearly having a fun time. Fun also relayed the fact that SF are hosting several events, both of Club Penguin Journey, and other platforms such as Minecraft.
Star Force is making this Halloween a special occasion. We’ve opened up Halloween grams, allowing people to send friendly messages to each other. SF has also themed its Discord server to align with the Halloween season. Furthermore, for our Minecraft server, STARCRAFT, our Minecraft Department started a build contest named, “Halloween Homes”. In addition, we’ve added mysterious lore to the season, too. We’ve already completed our special Halloween party event on CP Journey, and we are yet to announce more interesting things this Halloween, including a new video on our YouTube channel and some treats for our members. Happy Halloween! 🎃

Lastly, we contacted the Special Weapons and Tactics leader, WilliamW2010. William noted that SWAT would place an emphasis on recruiting, as well as hosting some themed events.
We do intend on holding a halloween event. As well there is the typical focus on recruiting.

Evidently, the army community is thoroughly enjoying this spooky time of year. All armies are hosting events, and activity is at an all time high. But what is your army doing for Halloween? How are you preparing? What were your thoughts on the recent tournament?
