As we enter the spookiest month of the year, the annual tradition of sharing ghostly tales returns once more. To keep the spirit alive, we’re thrilled to present the third edition of our Spooky Story Competition!

Club Penguin Armies is delighted to announce the return of our annual Spooky Story Competition. After last year’s remarkable turnout, we invite creative writers to join this year’s competition.
This year, judges will look for original, high-quality, unpublished writing with an engaging story arc and well-developed characters. A reminder that all entries must adhere to our story content guidelines.
RULES
- All submissions must follow Club Penguin Armies Stories’ Content Guidelines:
Originality: Submissions must be entirely original and unpublished. We’re looking for fresh, engaging stories that embody our commitment to creativity, quality, and entertainment.
Content Guidelines: While creativity is encouraged, submissions must adhere to our editorial guidelines. Writers should refrain from including sensitive or controversial themes that may damage our organization’s reputation or distance our audience.
It is mandatory that each story’s universe revolves around armies. Beyond that, writers are free to explore any themes or elements they choose.
Obscene or grotesque narratives are not permitted. Likewise, the use of obscene, sexual, or grotesque language is strictly prohibited.
Images and illustrations will only be allowed if they relate to the writing.
Language must follow proper structure, including the use of capital letters, punctuation, and speech indicators. Additionally, unnecessary abbreviations should be avoided.
Reminder that all stories must abide by CPA Discord Server Rules.
2. Additionally, submissions must be original, SINGLE-chapter stories, a minimum of 500 words, although writers may add more to enhance their story. According to the guidelines, writers may choose their story’s theme and decide on the formatting themselves.
3. In the spirit of Halloween, submissions should be spooky stories suitable for sharing in the dark or around a campfire. With that in mind, please ensure all content remains appropriate.
HOW TO ENTER
To start, we invite everyone to participate in the competition. Moreover, writers must submit their entries directly to one of the Editors-in-Chief (@tomodachiis or @diwix) or Administrators (@edu14463 or @jojoteri) on Discord’s direct messages, either via Google Docs or through a secure platform such as WordPress.
Submit your entries by Sunday, October 27, at 9 PM EST.
Furthermore, you may not edit your submission once you have sent it.
JUDGING, prizes, and RESULTS
Once the deadline passes, the Reporting Heads and Administrators will review all submissions.
We will announce the results on Halloween evening, October 31 (EST).
Finally, let us look at what the prizes will be:
The winning writer will receive their own unique role in the CPA Discord server
The winning submission will also be featured on our #stories channel.
2nd and 3rd place will also share an exclusive role in the CPA Discord server to show that they participated in the Spooky Story Competition 2025.
