Templarian History
On April 4, 2018, long-time army veteran Xing founded the Templars. An incredibly successful army, holding the top spot on Club Penguin Armies’ Top Ten for 50 weeks. They were also the victors of Legends Cup XII, highlighting their excellence in battle. Despite this, the Templars have also faced their fair share of controversy over the years, including several multilogging scandals.
Over the years, TCP has had several notable leaders, including Xing, Elmikey, Dawnables, Shinzo, Sidie9, and, more recently, Echo. Being the leader of such an important army is no small feat, especially when considering the army’s historical significance; however, recently, the army has been struggling to consistently keep its Major status and has fallen to the lower half of the Top Ten, and even dropped to Small/Medium status. More recently, the Templars have engaged in a multitude of conflicts between most notably a clash with the Water Vikings. Additionally, TCP witnessed the removal of leader Billy Bawb following their conflict against the Void Troops.

shifts in the ranks
On October 11, we witnessed two long-time TCP members being promoted to their leadership roles. Borapenguins and Zez have both been active and integral members of the Templars in recent months, and as a result, they were promoted to the rank of Grand Prior, TCP’s leadership rank.
Despite the pair’s limited leadership experience, Zez, in the past, has commanded the Phantom Republic. This stint allowed him to gain real experience in warfare, leading against the Rebel Alliance Commando. Despite PRCP’s unfortunate loss in this war, it laid the foundation for Zez’s eventual leadership of the Templars.
With the promotion of these two, it is clear that they have success in their sights, hoping to live up to the success of creator Xing and other notable figures, including Echo, which clearly the new duo will be attempting to emulate.
To find out more about these promotions, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Borapenguins and Zez for an interview; as of yet, only Zez has replied.
How does it feel to be promoted to Templar leader?
It’s a honor to be a leader in the Templars today
What are your plans and goals for your new leadership?
I plan to make templars better and better each week.
How will you improve Templars from their current state? Could we see TCP return to its major status under your leadership?
Maybe. Hopefully we will return to major soon. Templars will hopefully see better sizes, activity, and more victories under my and Bora’s leadership.
Undoubtedly, the future of the Templars is in safe hands under these new leaders. But what do you think will come under these new Grand Priors? Will they usher in a new era of success for the Templars? Will we see them return to their former glory?
