Founded by Keano73 in November of 2009, the Water Troops are one of the most historical armies of all time. WT hosted their revival event on September 30, with a max of 6. Following this they registered in Club Penguin Armies on October 1, making waves in the community.

Only hours after reviving, the Troops declared an off-map war on the Special Weapons and Tactics. This came as a shock to many, especially considering the short timeframe WT had been open. Water Troops leader Hydro stated in an announcement their objective was to put SWAT into an early grave. During recent days to bolster their ranks, WT also promoted IceQueen to leader.

A Drought Emerges

Despite their initial success in the Wet Tactics War, WT announced they would be forfeiting the war. Although ending with a war score of 6-0-0 for WT, SWAT came out on top. This is rather surprising when we look closer at the battles, as at each one, SWAT failed to reach the required amount to continue the battles past the first room.

Two days after the end of their war, WT leader Raven released a post detailing the army’s closure. Despite their unfortunate end, the Troops still celebrated the fact that in only a matter of days, they had managed to achieve tenth on the Top Ten. Leaders including Raven as well as Misty commented that the army had served it’s purpose, and had fun, which was its main objective.

In an attempt to find out more about recent events, Club Penguin Armies contacted Bryce, WT Godfather for an interview, however, he is yet to respond.

Evidently the loss of the Water Troops will have a lasting impact on the community. However, the army achieved their goals, and had fun whilst doing so. But what do you think comes next for WT? Where will their leaders go to now? What were your thoughts on their conflict with SWAT?
