Welcome to the sixth edition of the Lead The Way column, where we explore leadership moments under pressure and how individuals would handle them. In this edition, we will look into the topic of injustice within battles.

INJUSTICE
While it is not common, armies can sometimes resort to injustice or unfairness during battles. One way this can happen is by breaching the Club Penguin Armies‘ General Battle Terms. This can happen with things like multilogging, sending toxic tactics, or any form of cheating.
Another way that injustice can happen is when, during a war, the terms of the war are broken. The declaring army sets the war terms, and they can include terms such as no allies/visitors allowed, only allowing CPA Battleground to be used for battles, or only allowing official CPA Judges to judge battles.

CONSEQUENCES
However, to maintain fairness within CPA, acts of injustice are usually punished whenever they are found. In the case of breaking the General Battle Terms, punishments can include Top Ten deductions or a removal from the league if severe enough. If an army breaks the terms of a war, it may be subject to a force treaty.
SCENARIO: WITNESSING THE OPPOSING ARMY COMMITTING TO INJUSTICE DURING A BATTLE
Imagine this: You are the leader of an army, and you are fighting a battle against another army. Either it is during the battle or after it, but you find out that the opposing army broke some rules. Obviously, this is not allowed, and so the opposing army may face certain penalties. What army leaders usually do is report it to the CPA administration with valid proof.
Club Penguin Armies reached out to individuals in the community to see what they would do if they were the leaders of an army, battling against an army that does not play by the rules.
What would you do if, before a battle, the opposing army were disrespecting your army to hype up the battle?
Ango, Water Vikings: Hmm, well to be fair I’ve always seen this kind of hype as really disrespectful and ridiculous. That’s not what we do in WV! I would basically encourage the troops & the staff to not indulge in their ragebaiting and to keep hyping the chat like we were taught to, and not to start trashing on the other army just because we’re fighting them.
Riri, Scarlet Republic: mmm that depends honestly on who exactly is being disrespectful, if it’s just the troops then there’s not really anything I can do about it lol, it’s their army not mine and I wouldn’t take it that serious but if the leader is encouraging it that would probably change my view on the army as a whole, at the end of the day this is just a game and it should never really get to that point, I’d make sure my troops never resort to that same level and have them remain respectful to the other army at all times
Elite888, Dark Warriors: I wouldn’t let that attitude influence me or any of my troops. Let them say what they want to say. Disrespecting before a battle doesn’t mean anything, everything will be determined during battle.
Elsa, Templars of Club Penguin: I would unally from the army that is disrespecting my army to hype the battle.
If you were leading a war, what would you do if you suddenly received proof that the opposing army had been using multilogs for multiple battles?
Ango, Water Vikings: Hmm, well, I’m not really informed a lot about how war works… I’ve read like a couple of posts and yet I haven’t understood how it worked. There’s something called a forced treaty isn’t there? Would that be mandatory? There’s many questions that comes to mind when it comes to this subject and since I’ve never been in a full-on war, I can’t really know how it would go. Though that’d be a HUGE blow for the other army and I would definitely push to get that proof out in the light. If you gotta fight a war, fight it fairly!
Riri, Scarlet Republic: the first thing I would do is take the evidence to the cpa admins and have them look at it before eventually drafting a force treaty against the other army to bring the war to an end
Elite888, Dark Warriors: If i was in a winning position I would make fun of the other army for mulitlogging and still losing
But if i was in a losing position i would make also make fun of them telling them that they have to opt for mulitlogging to win against us
But i would still report the issueElsa, Templars of Club Penguin: I would report the opposing army for multilogging for multiple battles.
What would you do if you were in the middle of leading a tournament battle, when you see the other army having troops from other armies logged for them?
Ango, Water Vikings: During a tournament battle? Isn’t that just not allowed ðŸ˜Â Definitely pushing to get that out to light so it can be exposed. I mean, you should win a tournament fairly if it comes to getting your army a trophy and glory and fame and whatnot. What happens if it gets discovered later? Bye bye trophy. DISGRACED.
Riri, Scarlet Republic: I’d ask one of my HCOM members to take over for a bit while I dm the leaders of the other army, if I don’t get a response (which is likely as they will probably be busy leading) then I’ll wait until after the battle to talk to them about it and then go to the head judges and see what they can do about it
Elite888, Dark Warriors: Logically, i would report it to the cpa admins but if i see that i have the upper hand on my opponents and know i would win, i don’t think i would bother
Elsa, Templars of Club Penguin: I would be like what the f**k
An army that breaks any rules during battles will be punished accordingly. Even if it might seem like they might get away with it, the truth will come out eventually. What do you think? What would you do as an army leader during a battle where the other team is not fair?
