Templars Topple to Small/Medium

As of August 17, 2025, Templars have once again been reclassified as Small/Medium after only a two-month stint in the Major classification. Let us see why the Templars have faced significant vulnerabilities in recent times.

Templars have once again changed classifications to Small/Medium. The army has a history of fluctuating in classifications over the past few years. Since June 2023, TCP has changed classifications at least seven times, with the last change occurring only two months ago, when they rose to Major. In recent weeks, TCP has been staying in the middle and lower half of the Top Ten. They also have averaged a max of 18.8 penguins. This unfortunately is just under the 20 average they needed to keep their status as Major.

Edu announces that Templars have been reclassified to S/M

This drop comes after losing in a week-long war against Void Troops that ended on August 11, 2025. The announcement of their drop also comes only four days after Dawnables silently rejoins TCP’s leadership. Hopefully, the community will see the knights regain their spot in the Major classification with the help of this additional member of their team.

TCP and VT in a recent war battle

In the past, Templars have attributed their drops to school, and this timing points to a similar issue. Club Penguin Armies has reached out to hear the reasoning from the source, TCP leader, Echo.

Do you feel that the war against Void Troops contributed to this drop or that it was already underway?

I am not sure why people keep trying to attribute our drop to VT. We have always dropped towards the end of the summer. SS did not cause last year’s drop, VT is not any different.

Do you have any plans to recover TCP’s Major status? If so, what are they?

We will continue recruiting consistently and continue finding new innovative ways of recruitment. We will continue rising the same way we always have.

How soon can the community expect to see Templars in Major again?

I’d say in a few weeks, maybe a month since we do need to get an average of 20+ for a few weeks before getting major. I am not too concerned about the major status though its really just a title for the army. I care more about the health of the army itself and its structural integrity

This army has been through their fair share of ups and downs as of late. But, Templars seem to not be worried about their drop in the classification and believe they will quickly rejoin the Major ranks. How soon do you think we will see Templars to climb back in their previous spot? What else can we expect to come from our knights in these coming weeks?
