The Legends Cup is a tradition that takes place in summer and has been going for 15 years, and, to this day it is still popular. It allows for Small/Medium armies to have their chance to win the spotlight and major armies to compete for the grand trophy. The huge surge in activity during the summer makes the tournament to be highly competitive, which is why it holds such a high prestige level.

Quarter finals recap

The first battle was between Templars and Water Vikings and as most people predicted, the result was that Water Vikings won, however Templars put up a great fight. Next up, the battle that shocked everyone, Help Force and Army of Club Penguin. With the Army of Club Penguin being an army with high influence and a persona that the community thinks it is a force to be reckoned with, it was no doubt the predicted winner of this battle. However, Help Force put up an outstanding fight, resulting in 2 ties and 1 win for Help Force.

Furthermore, on Sunday, July 27, the first battle of the day was Aliens and Void Troops. Void Troops are a fresh major army, but still have proven themselves to be an army that perseveres and puts in hard work. However, Aliens had more of an edge with sizes and cleaner forms, earning them the 3-0 win. The last battle was Doritos of Club Penguin and Rebel Penguin Federation, however due to the recent shutdown of Doritos, the Rebels automatically move to the Semi Finals.

Following the recent Water Vikings, Help Force, Rebel Penguin Federation, and Aliens victories, Club Penguin Armies reached out to several community members to ask their opinions on the battles:

What was your reaction to the Quarter Final battles of the Legends Cup XV?

Ugly, Void Troops Leader: TCP WV: Exciting battle that was very close despite the results, both armies gave it their all and I think it served the community right. I expected TCP to max more but also WV as well knowing how much focus went into the tourney. Overall good battle!
ACP HF: Surprising results I must say I didn’t expect it to turn out this way knowing HF weren’t in their A game the last few months and there was a slight rise in ACP’s maxes as well. The sizes were close so I guess it was just a who’s better game and Help Force ended up winning. Very bummed about it but ACP in retrospect has grown even bigger with each loss they get so I’m sure they’ll do amazing the next tournament.
VT Aliens: Went as much as I expected, don’t have much to say on it other than I had fun and laughed a lot during the battle tbh lol. Obviously there wasn’t much expectations for us to win against one of the biggest contenders to win LC so we just had fun with it and gave it a good shot. I think though Aliens saw black and mistook us for RPF maybe and started raining bwbs first half of the battle LOL. All in good fun well done to Aliens and good luck for the rest of the tourney.

Edu, Chief Executive Producer: TCP-WV combat was the most exciting one, that’s for sure. It was intense, much was at stake in this battle. Pride, honor, rivalry. Yet the Water Vikings surprised us all with their high maxes and ensured dominance. TCP is also to be commended for their efforts! ACP-HF was also close, but the outcome was, for me personally, very unexpected. Props to HF for pulling a major upset on the favorites. The last one, Aliens-VT, was as expected. Aliens brought an amazing force of almost 60 troops, and ensured their dominance. The semis will be a show!

Pingo, WV Veteran: hf vs acp
As the connoisseur that I am on HF vs ACP judges, ive seen the same song and dance all the time: HF sends less 10 size then ACP, however ACP has more afks, an afk situation that HF capitalizes on so both even out no matter what happens. HOWEVER, the moment that I realized that HF was pulling the same amount of troops as ACP, I felt as if the ~~days~~ rooms were numbered for ACP’s legends cup’s endeavors. Now what I DIDN’T expect was a sweep from HF, which feels like the most HF thing ever, if were being serious.

wv vc tcp
Out of all 4 matchups, id argue this one had the most trash talk, with both sides on their “getting good” arc, to me it would be a big “what if?” if we saw both further in the competition. HOWEVER, WV solos and maxed like a morbillion and TCP didn’t cook at all fr, good luck next time chat.

vt vs aliens
Saw this coming im sorry, Aliens will forever be the CPJ national team that other armies tried to be. Aliens struggle to max over like 40 on CPAB (if I remember correctly, bestpenguin please dont hurt me), but give the Aliens 20 minutes and a cpj account and before you know it VT are more invisible then their uniform on casa fiesta (I mean SERIOUSLY, i could barely see them in event pics, tactics and all). Kudos to whoever designed the Aliens uniform, I dont think im yet to see a green-red-blue room outside of christmas.

rpf vs dcp
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nah bro i thought dcp was gonna max 100 shutdown trust-

Kira, VT Leader: tcp wv: i think this was an entertaining battle i think seeing how wvs training and tcp training has served them and being able to finally see this in battle was great. one thing ill note is that i was expecting the battle to be a bit closer especially with the sizes despite wv taking it home with their 2 room victory in the end, all in all a fun and interesting battle

acp hf: i was not expecting this to go the way it did! i think seeing help force lock in the way they did tactically and be able to use their tactical skill after being last years champions served them well! i cant wait to see how they perform in the semis, for acp it was close, i think this battle couldve gone anyway for any army especially with how close the results ended up being

aliens vt: this one was fun, it was fun going against the aliens regardless of our loss. one thing i will note that it was good practice for our army especially as they faced their first major army which i think will serve us well in training for future tournaments. overall, a great battle; gg aliens!

Sheriff, Aliens Leader: ACP vs HF was surprising – both armies clearly made a great effort but i feel HF had a slight edge in terms of formation choices

– TCP vs WV was an amazing battle, but I think that WV definetly deserved this win because of the effort and sheer amount of people they had.

– Aliens vs VT – ALIENS FOREVER 🗣️ 🗣️ 🗣️ 🔥 🔥 🔥

– DCP vs RPF – This was such a close battle oml i was on the edge of my seat the whole time

The Legends Cup XV quarter finals were a thrill to watch to say the least. Following the end of the quarterfinals and the results, no doubt the semifinals will be exhilarating. What are your reactions to the Quarter Finals? What do you expect will happen in the Semifinals?
