Versa Joins As The Latest Doritos Leader

On July 14, the Doritos of Club Penguin announced a new addition to their leadership roster. As DCP navigates through a new chapter, extra firepower may prove useful. With Versa taking on the role at a pivotal time, let’s take a look at what he has in store for the Doritos.

The Doritos of Club Penguin are a well-known name with a rich history. Founded in 2010 on Disney’s Club Penguin, you can consider them to be one of the pioneers. Throughout this ongoing history, DCP has unquestionably made its impact on the army community. Although even the most seasoned of armies can unexpectedly face hard times. Last month, the Doritos were unfortunately stripped of their Major title and dropped to Small/Medium status. DCP is no stranger to animosity, however, and they are very likely to bounce back from this.

Now, with all the turmoil settling, a new candidate has stepped up to help with the rebuild. This latest prospect is Versa, and he joins during very critical times for DCP. With much experience under his belt, Versa has already started laying the foundation for recovery. His induction into the leadership also alleviates a solo era led by Megs, who has been steering the army alone for quite some time now. If things continue to stabilize for the Doritos, then they will be back atop the community in no time.

As of the most recent Top Ten, DCP holds a tie for the eleventh spot, sitting right on the edge of the top ranks. Additionally, the army has been hosting events far more frequently. There is a great opportunity for Versa to display his skills and give DCP a boost towards reclaiming the honorable Major status.

@everyoneDoritos Through good times and tough times. From battling a mountain to get to the other side. Its been a long await for this moment. The times on leading alone as came to a end, Im proud to announce that @Versa a well be joining me as a co leader in DCP. From the start he has been nothing but positivity and excitement on making sure things will be okay. Fear the shield Please congratulate him in No Access now

Megs’ announcement of Versa to DCP leadership

In an exclusive interview, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Versa to learn more about his story and plans for DCP.

So, what is your history within the army community?

I am DFGV, but I also go by Versa. My journey in the world of armies began back in the OG Club Penguin days, where my fascination with both the Light Troops and SWAT first ignited. However, it wasn’t until the CPPS era, specifically 2020, that I truly dove into the army scene after being recruited by WimboJimbo and the Hurricanes of Club Penguin. When the Hurricanes shut down, I joined the Instrumentalists of Club Penguin, quickly rising to the position of 2ic. During my time there, I gained recognition from various leaders for my commitment—never missing a single event or recruiting session since my arrival. The Instrumentalists had a strong alliance with the Fish Warriors, and when they eventually merged into the Marines, I transitioned into the role of 3ic. Around the same time, I was recruited into SWAT as 4ic, which allowed me to forge meaningful relationships with army veterans, including the notable SCargo. During this period, I also took on the role of head reporter and judge for the League, working closely with influential figures like Freeezie and Andrew. However, due to the controversies and scandals surrounding CPO, I, along with many other members of the community, parted ways. In 2022, I returned to armies when Epic invited me to lead the Night Warriors. Under my leadership, the army reached new heights, with events regularly drawing 40+ troops and our largest event gathering a remarkable 70. We achieved this success through efficient Roblox recruiting and by leveraging a strong and loyal RF veteran force. However, after the army’s shutdown and an attempted merge with RF—due to troop disillusionment, issues of toxicity, and other controversies—I worked with the modline to deface the server (RF) and generate enough attention to have the army permanently blacklisted. As history often tends to repeat itself, in October 2022, Epic attempted to revive the Night Warriors, this time without the support of veteran staff or leadership, and sought ties with the controversial Lime Green Army and RFCP. This led to a successful coup and server defacement, orchestrated alongside NW veterans to protect the welfare of the troops and prevent history from repeating itself. During my tenure in NW, I worked alongside Lego, who was impressed by my leadership and later appointed me as the AUSIA division leader in SWAT following the dissolution of NW. After a two-year hiatus, I returned to CPA in August 2024, joining the Elite Guardians staff team for a brief period. By December 2024, I became the 3ic of the Aliens, helping to propel them to second place in the top 10 rankings within weeks of joining. On February 12, 2025, I was appointed as the leader of SWAT, tasked with building a strong foundation for long-term success and restoring morale. Although my tenure was cut short to just under a month, my proudest achievement was leading the army to 21 troops within —an unprecedented accomplishment, especially considering the defacement that occurred just days before my arrival, yet still surpassing the efforts of the two previous leaderships.

What are your goals for DCP as a leader?

I’m only here for a short time but my goals for DCP center around reshaping the culture within the army by instilling a genuine growth mindset. To achieve this, I’m focused on laying strong foundations for long-term success and restoring the sense of pride that once defined the army. We already have an incredible team—some of the hardest-working people I’ve seen in CPA—and with a bit of fine-tuning and shared vision, I’m confident we’ll be on the right path!

How are you different from other leaders? What sets you apart?

Well, quite a lot—especially considering I was thrown into the role just a week after joining. I’d like to think the DCP Gods saw a spark in me that I haven’t fully recognized in myself yet, and for that, I’m incredibly humbled. What’s generally brought me success in CPA is my focus on efficiency over labor-intensive methods, and my willingness to take calculated risks. While my philosophy isn’t always easy for others to fully grasp, the outcomes have consistently been strong—and I’m confident that’ll continue. I also believe my ability to stay out of CPA drama and block out the noise played a role in me being chosen, especially given the current climate in the army. Considering the work I did in SWAT, I’ve built a bit of a reputation for helping rebuild armies that have lost their groove—and I’m ready to do that here too.

Are there any plans in place for DCP to reclaim major status?

“Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” – Master Oogway (Also I did max 23 in my very first event leading, not too bad considering I was given the wheel just a few hours prior)

With Versa officially inducted into the leadership, the Doritos enter a new chapter with high ambitions to rebuild. As an experienced army veteran, he may be exactly what the army needs. Previously, DCP was under the guidance of only one leader. Now with someone else at the top, DCP is officially geared up for whatever comes their way. How effective do you think Versa will be? Do you think DCP will reclaim Major status with Versa? Do you think DCP will bring on more leaders or stay a duo?
