Why Advisors?
Advisors play a crucial role in an army. While working from the sidelines, they not only observe but also actively guide, all the while allowing today’s leaders to take charge. Throughout this, they offer valuable insights and direct support. A strong advisory team actively drives an army’s growth. Their advice opens doors to new opportunities and introduces experienced perspectives that reshape and refine how things are run. Whether seasoned veterans or emerging voices, advisors consistently play a crucial role in shaping an army’s growth and long-term success.

Legacy Through Guidance
Owlcity207, more commonly known simply as Owl, is a long-standing member of the army community. With over a decade of experience, she draws from both her early years and her ongoing role in today’s armies. She has shown strong leadership in Chaos and now serves as an advisor for Void Troops. Her ability to adapt and grow with the evolving community is a true testament to her character. Her early achievements highlight the vital role advisors play, especially as the community balances trusting seasoned voices while forging new paths with the current generation.

Owl holds a long-standing legacy within the community, having been an important figure for many years. Her achievements in the Chaos Army clearly show why her advice carries such weight. Leading the army from nothing to two golden ages, she demonstrated consistency and a strong belief in growth, qualities especially needed today as armies face ongoing instability. By listening to voices like hers, who have endured and overcome challenges, individuals can continue to grow. Owl’s advice proves that struggle doesn’t mark the end, but rather the beginning of something new. As a result of her efforts, she earned the title of small/medium legend, further reflecting her impact and showing why voices like hers remain essential, even across generations, in guiding and protecting armies.
Timeless Wisdom
One concern with having advisors from different eras is that their perspectives may differ, and they might attempt to guide an army in ways that align more closely with their own time. Additionally, some may question why individuals return to the community to advise for so long. Is there a certain point when someone should step away from holding roles entirely? People will always have differing opinions on this topic, especially as advisors from historical armies often bring contrasting approaches. Many may feel these concerns apply to Owl, and if they don’t, then why? What makes her case different, and why is it so essential to continue listening to older generations? Their advice, shaped through real challenges and growth, often still holds up, even years later.

These are important things to consider when evaluating advisory members, regardless of where they come from. As the community continues to grow with new members and armies entering the scene, it becomes increasingly necessary to understand the value of older perspectives and just how much they can contribute to an army’s overall development.
Interested in learning about her views regarding these concerns, Club Penguin Armies reached out to Owl to understand her perspective on these matters.
As an advisor, what do you believe is the most important role you serve?
I think just providing support for whatever it is the team needs. whether that’s help keeping chat active, help welcoming troops, help with vc leading events. I’m just here too support as needed.
How do you think your advice has helped shape the Void Troops?
honestly i don’t think I’ve given any real advice. other than just help with what to do post defacement.
As a member of the original army community, how do you think your experiences from that era have helped shape your character as an advisor now?
from OG CPA, i know that war almost always helps create hype in the army. so im always really supportive of any upcoming wars we plan.
Do you think that your time in Chaos has influenced your views as an advisor and the advice you give currently in VT?
when i was with Chaos, i was best known for helping create a friendly environment for all our troops. I used to make it a point to really talk to and get to know everyone, and it helped keep our numbers growing. so now as advisor, when i don’t have any other proper hcom responsibilities, i just try to make it a point to make everyone feel welcome and important.
Owl and her achievements not only make her a notable member of the community but also a powerful force in the world of advisors. Her outstanding guidance has played a key role in helping the Void Troops grow, once again proving the value of advisors from older eras, regardless of when they served. Her time as an advisor highlights the fact that, no matter the generation, guidance remains a crucial attribute for any army to have. Who do you think observes qualities like this? How do you think advisory helps shape an army?
