On July 16, the Portal Hoppers and Templars sat down together and agreed to form an alliance. Let us explore the reasons behind this strategic move and what benefits there are for both.

The month of July began with an all-time high in community activity. With that, the Portal Hoppers of Club Penguin made their first appearance in the army community. On July 3, the army hosted its opening event, successfully maxing out 10. Under the leadership of Dbsa, Judy, and Zay, the army has been placing relatively high on the Top Ten for a Small/Medium army that just started operating.

PHCP’s opening event
The Templars have a fair history of forging strategic alliances with Small/Medium armies, aiming to pursue common goals in the long run. This time, it might not be different. On July 16, therefore, TCP and PHCP announced they have formalized an alliance.

Zay announces the alliance
Club Penguin Armies reached out to both armies’ leadership to gain some insight into the circumstances that led to this move.
What inspired the formation of this PHCP-TCP alliance?
Judy, PHCP Leader: Honestly it began with our alliance with Void Troops and as we became more frequent in there, we made friends with a few Templars and saw them at events we mutually attended until we eventually approached the leaders to discuss allying after getting to know the people in there better and having a good bond with them.
Moon, TCP Leader: What inspired us to form this alliance is that we saw really no harm in allying w/ PHCP. They’re a new army and full of cool people.
In what ways can your army benefit from this alliance?
Judy, PHCP Leader: We believe we can mutually help each other out and grow stronger together. Although it’s quite chilled out, both armies attend for each other regularly just because we want to be there and enjoy the events that are hosted and not only that but socially it’s quite beneficial. I’ve noticed a few PHCP troops pop into TCP chat (vice versa) and become friends with their troops and it’s nice to see that while being welcomed in like one of their own.
Moon, TCP Leader: Our army could benefit from this alliance in ways such as having more relations w/ other armies and helping each other out when needed.
Do you already have any plans for the future?
Judy, PHCP Leader: Not at the moment, but PHCP has many plans for the future. Never say never, right?
Moon, TCP Leader: Not as of right now, but there will be plans soon. 🙂
It seems both armies are committed to engaging more with each other, as their troops are friendly towards one another. Only time will tell if any plans they have will come to fruition. What do you think will come out of this alliance?
